Yes they are amazing artists but the spoken word was amazing as well as the volunteer hosts. As a tourist and visiting guest, I appreciated the free t shirt, hospitality seating and parking since the church is located in a shopping center. Going in I saw people actually talking to each other and laughing together. People greeted me with warm smiles and I just got the feeling like this place was somewhere special. I remember clearly the message Pastor Paul gave that day. It was one that hit home for me and one that I was desperate to hear. That is not uncommon at Christ Church. Pastor Paul has a way of speaking to so many, but also speaking directly to you at the same time. His messages are relevant and applicable to every day life. He is funny, witty, and well spoken. Expect to laugh (imagine that at church!) and expect to leave a better person than you were when you came in. The people at Christ Church are genuine and sincere. It may seem cliche to say that it is like a family here...but it is. We're a bunch of imperfect people who love God and do life together. As a mom of a 4 year old, I can also speak to the quality of their children's program. My daughter learns about Jesus every week through fun games and activities and a quality curriculum. She loves coming to church and has made many great friends that now play together outside of church which has gained me some great new mom-friends as well! Speaking of making friends...there are different classes/studies offered on Wednesday evenings and connection groups that meet in various parts of Orlando on weeknights. Groups are based off of special interests like cooking, biking, young families, bible studies, women's groups, men's groups, etc., and provide a fun and safe environment to make some great friends while growing your relationship with God. I grew up in church my whole life, but I finally feel growth in my walk with God since I started at Journey. I see God in every millisecond of my life. God has been transforming me from the inside without anyone needing to touch me or force anything on me. God's word alone has been the focal point of my growth. Sermon series are so impactful. This campus is a smaller building, but it is very comfortable with a good amount of space. The lyrics and main points of the sermon are projected clearly as well. I totally recommend this church for anyone seeking a Brazilian Portuguese language church.

They encourage you to join the jet groups after service and throughout the week, they serve EVERYWHERE! The posters are very down to earth and kind. They stand at the front or the back (there's more than one leading Paster) I asked them to pray over my newborn and they did on the spot. Very heart touching. They have a women's and babies area where you can go to get baby supplies as needed each Sunday, they also provide ultrasounds and more. Although it's big, stay a while and it becomes smaller. The size makes it where they are able to do more things with the congregation. They SUPPORT PARENTS of young children with nursing rooms, specified areas to sit, and nursery for the baby. Their Christmas services are amazing! It's also wonderful to constantly see others starting their walk into the faith with baptisms . Talking about the review complaining about politics. I have been there when they "talk about politics" twice. (In one year) once when a bill was needed to be passed by citizens about abortions. They cited the Bible , I DO find this appropriate. They also cited in the Bible that talks about why they should be vocal. The other time was after Charlie Kirk was killed, they spoke on Hite evil of the world, and that no one should experience this & to lead further into Christ. Lastly when talking about creation they read the first chapter of the first book genesis stating that God made us in his image, as a man or a woman. They spoke about how we were made to be who God created us to be and cited their sources in multiple places. This IS appropriate because they are not spewing their opinions, they are telling us what the Bible says and they are not watering it down or bending it to what they want.

We are intentional. We are faith-filled. We are participators. We are generous. We are others-focused​. Where can you possibly go wrong? Anywho onto the main points. Currently,​ the church is meeting at two locations of Howard Middle in downtown and Edgewater High in College Park. The vision is to be good financial stewards and raise enough capital for a permanent location. Get ready to be seriously welcomed at our church from the parking lot all the way to when you leave. Let's​ talk about​ safety. Children's​ ministry has a police officer always on duty at the entrance along with two other officers and tons of security from all backgrounds of life spread randomly throughout the church. Doors are locked at all times and check-in and check-out procedures for children are tight-knit with identification badges out before you can even go in the direction of children's​ ministry. Don't​ have little ones? No biggie there is Sub 30 available for young adults and RIOT. RIOT is a place where middle and high school teens can hear a message geared specifically for their audience. More importantly,​ they can meet during the week for groups​ intentionally​ designed with them top of mind. You can tell when a message is truth when you're​ turning the pages of your bible or looking at the verse available on the projector often. Come prepared to read from the bible and unpack it with our pastors, the Phillips. Don't​ forget to get your weekly dose with community groups. Celebration​ understands we shouldn't do life alone and we have nailed down all sorts of groups from coffee to fitness, and even brunching on how we can spread the word of God. You would NEVER guess this church is located in a middle school because they dress up & transform this beautiful building so much. The worship is so talented/AWESOME and very different than anything I've ever experienced... I feel like I should be paying to get in, that's how great it is! I also feel extremely safe because they have security and deputies everywhere. Did I mention the free coffee yet? Yep, free and delicious coffee from Credo. They also invite the homeless in and treat them so well, it makes me feel honored to go here. It's definitely a trendy scene with lots of young people but they have groups and other opportunities for every age and every walk of life. They do so much for the community and it's members with Jesus being at the center. They have so many ways to get connected so you don't get lost in the crowed, which usually happens in big churches.
