Later that night, I quietly Googled it... Guys - think personal quarterback mechanics coach. Rebecca was referred to us from a friend who had used her services for her own pregnancy just a few months earlier. My wife scheduled a meeting and Rebecca arrived on-time, very prepared and very knowledgeable. She discussed her methodology and services and answered our questions. She encouraged us to think about it before making a decision about whether or not she was the right doula for us. She was not pushy at all, and never passed judgement on our birth plan. (I was pro-nitrous because I wanted some for myself.) Seriously though, she's so Zen/calm that it's contagious. Because we felt such a strong connection with her, we hired her. Honestly, we probably could have chased after her in the driveway because it didn't take long to know we had found an amazing, caring resource that we NEEDED to help us in our journey. With Rebecca at our side, we always felt prepared. When things came up, we knew we could rely on her to help us with experienced guidance and research. "Let me send you an article on that..." was probably the most common phrase to come out of her mouth. (Mostly because I apparently wasn't doing enough reading/researching on my own.) Even when things veered as far as possible from our birth plan, Rebecca helped us in ways that we never expected, especially in extraordinary ways that were beyond what she was obligated to do. She helped keep us calm and sane in a time when fear could have easily gotten the better of us. I can't imagine the birth of our daughter without Rebecca being there. And if you're reading this review, you are probably searching for a doula to assist with your pregnancy. Congratulations - you found the best.

My wife and I highly recommend Rebecca. This was our first pregnancy and a friend told us the best…read morething they ever did was hire a doula, so we took their advice and found Rebecca through Yelp, which really was one of the best decisions we made for the birth of our son. We chose Rebecca out of all the other doulas because right from the moment we met her, we felt comfortable. For us, that was very important. My wife's pregnancy and birth had its own set of complications and once we hired Rebecca, she was available for all the support we needed. She kept an open line of communication, which was especially helpful through some difficult times leading up to delivery. There were never any judgments on our birth plans or on any of our decisions. She 100% supported us and would always answer all of our questions, even emailing us articles regarding any of our concerns. By the time our delivery came around, we had grown so close to Rebecca, it felt like we had a friend there to support us. She was ready and so prepared when we needed her, that we never felt like we had to ask her to do more for us. During delivery, Rebecca kept everyone positive and motivated. She also made sure I was taking care of myself properly! i.e. eating and resting when possible. We don't know how we could have made it through delivery without her support. Overall, Rebecca is smart, kind, supportive and we felt blessed to have her there for the birth of our son. There is no question that we will hire Rebecca for the birth of our next child.

The childbirth education part of the class was also really beneficial. Since having our daughter, I feel like I've met so many people who don't understand the birthing process. We felt prepared after taking Robyn's class. The Hypnobabies exercises also helped my husband and I connect before having her. Robyn also met with me for a prenatal lactation appointment. I was nervous never having breastfed before. She helped me feel more confident entering a breastfeeding journey that I truly love and value more than I ever thought possible! Also, being a FTM,…read moreI was overwhelmed by all the sleep training advice out there--wake windows, endless methods, instagram reels--it was a lot. When my baby was about 4 months old, I reached out to The Birthing Stone Doula for guidance, and I'm so glad I did. The set-up process was super easy. Tiffany quickly got back to me, asked a few questions through phone call, and matched me with Julia, one of their sleep coaches. From the very first home visit, Julia was incredible--kind, empathetic, and so knowledgeable. She helped me recognize when my daughter was self-soothing and gave me practical things to try. We set goals like easing daycare naps, learning to self-soothe, and adjusting to her crib. Throughout the process, Julia was always there--quick to respond, thoughtful in her answers, and endlessly encouraging. She gave me confidence to trust my instincts as a mom, while also teaching me tools to help my baby build healthy sleep habits. Within a few weeks, we met all our goals. Now my baby is a solid sleeper, can self-soothe, and sleeps through the night. I honestly don't think we'd be here without Julia's support. Highly recommend!

FTM | Casey and Charli are excellent…read more My daughter is just short of 4 months old as I write this review. I'm a first time mother who really had no idea what to expect with the labor and delivery experience. Here are the main points of what we knew we wanted for our birthing experience: *delivery at Legacy Meridian Hospital *labor as long as I could without any pain medication *make use of resources to be comfortable (medicine/peanut ball, jacuzzi, massages, essential oils, dim lighting...etc) *doula for support No judgements. Compassion. We interviewed one other doula before choosing Casey and Charli. Without hesitation I knew I had to have this awesome team to support me. They are incredibly warm and friendly with tons of knowledge and experience with the whole process (pregnancy to postpartum). I felt completely comfortable upon meeting them. One of the biggest reasons why we chose them was because we were guaranteed to see one of them on the big day. Other doulas are so busy with other clients that they may send someone else from their company to support you on your big day, and that was something I didn't feel comfortable with. Casey and Charli didn't make me feel like I was just a number to add to their list of births. They always listened and asked questions. The process was easy and accommodating: first contacted via e-mail, set up the first meeting, establish a contract and deposit, set up another meeting, maintain 24/7 contact throughout pregnancy, go through labor and delivery, pay balance, and postpartum appointment. Birthing Stone offers a lot of great classes, so take advantage of these! Casey and Charli had excellent communication throughout and a great, well-organized system down to support me at any moment. I opted to have a doula-in-training to attend my delivery as well. My delivery exceeded my expectations! I had a fast delivery and ended up not using any of the resources available at the hospital. Charli and the doula-in-training were supportive and helped me to focus on breathing and relaxing during my labor. Charli made me feel like a super woman! She tied my hair back and not only worked with the medical team for me, but she made sure my husband was taken care of too. After my delivery, they checked up on me at home and helped me with any issues I had with breastfeeding. I like that they don't leave you hanging because there's SO much to this whole experience. Overall, I highly recommend Birthing Stone!! If you're looking for a doula team, this is it.

Angela helped us during the daytime, and was a great resource for childcare, information, and just someone to talk to. They watched my daughter so I could do other things, they helped me use my pump for the first time, and they showed me how to use a carrier safely, among other things. I felt very comfortable with them and appreciated having their help. Sophia helped us get more sleep at night by watching our daughter. We didn't realize how indespensible that would be, and appreciated the extra sleep so much. Even when I was breastfeeding, she would bring my daughter in and take her back right after she was done nursing, so that I was only awake for a short period. Once I was waking up to pump instead of nurse, Sophia would take care of the pump and milk, and wash the parts so I didn't have to. I really liked Wildwood's policies and prices, and the way they paired us with doulas. We also changed our schedule and package partway through after realizing we wanted more nighttime visits, and they were very accommodating and helpful with that. I'd definitely recommend them.

We interviewed two doulas and I was honestly very torn because I really liked them both for different reasons. Heidi had such a calming presence even through zoom and I knew deep down that would be exactly what I needed. Little did I know at the time my seemingly low risk pregnancy would take some interesting turns. I don't know what I would have done without her constant reassurance. I ended up in the midst of a multiple day induction that picked up incredibly quickly when they broke my water. We had been in communication with Heidi throughout the weeks leading up to my induction and she got to the hospital very quickly when we let her know they had broken my water. Just as i suspected she was the calm in the storm, not just for myself but my husband as well. She took some photos for us of those initial moments together and made sure I got my lusted for post delivery meal before leaving us to get some rest. She stayed in close contact over the next few days while we dealt with a 72 hour hospital stay, a readmittance scare, and struggles with feedings. We had a lovely postpartum visit at our home when things calmed down and it warmed my heart so much to see her hold our son. She advocated for me during labor when I wasn't in the mindset to do so myself and made me feel so supported and safe. I've recommended Heidi and wildwood to everyone I know who has gotten pregnant since my delivery. They are truly such an amazing and supportive group.

My husband and I were on the fence about having a doula, but my friend who took the classes and had Ashley as a doula recommended I at least meet Ashley in person. During our hour-long chat at the coffee shop, I realized that the birth of my child would be one of the most important days of my life, and what we see on our TV and movies is FAR from how the birth experience really is. Ashley was so knowledgeable about all the hospitals/doctors/protocols, anatomy, just anything birth-related. This was helpful in having the awareness and expectation so that I could make my own decisions. I had to get induced at 38 weeks due to high blood pressure and other conditions and was basically freaking out. Ashley helped me through it and assured me that this was the right time and the right call for my situation. Her calm demeanor kept me calm. She was very hands-on and helped me throughout my labor (utilizing spinning babies technique and massage/hip squeezes), and my husband still talks about how helpful it was to have her there so that he could take a break and eat lunch! Ashley was an advocate for me during birth and I am so grateful, like when the nurse just decided to buttoned my gown up in the chest because that's more "modest" and Ashley, knowing the importance and benefits of skin-to-skin and my wishes, unbuttoned it when the nurse wasn't looking! Small things like this add up and actually mean a lot. I ended up having a beautiful and positive birth at the hospital (opted for epidural) and I have Ashley to thank for it. Ashley is one of my favorite people, and I cannot recommend her enough. She is a fairy godmother! As for the hypnobirthing...my first reaction was "I'm not a hippie," but after that meeting with Ashley, I realized it is a total misnomer, and Hypnobirthing is just relaxation methods AND birth education to help you feel confidant on the big day. I recommend taking these classes over the classes taught at hospitals which tend to be more clinical.
