It truly feels like she knows all the Bay Area neighborhoods like the back of her hand. Her connections to experts in the home improvement and renovation industries were invaluable, helping with both evaluating properties and improving my home post-move-in. Valerie also assisted with the sale of our property, which went better than we could have ever imagined. With beautiful staging and a masterclass in negotiation, she secured an amazing, clean offer just days after our home hit the market--before the open house weekend even began. Real estate in the Bay Area can be intimidating, especially for someone who has just moved here. Valerie took the fear and uncertainty out of the process and replaced it with pure excitement and anticipation of living in our forever home.

Summary: Great experience with Brian buying a house in the Evergreen area of San Jose, strongly…read morerecommend. The Full Story: We met Brian at an Open House and, without any commitment from us, he started trying to match our needs with a house. We were impressed with his diligence, attempt to understand us and openness so we went with him as our agent. It took us awhile to find a house so we had a lot of house visits with Brian and some of the things we appreciated included: - Area Knowledge: In an advantage over the online services, Brian frequently had the tip on homes prepping to sell. In a market where there's only a few days between a showing and a sale, this is important for giving a bit more time for diligence and prep a bid. Brian also occasionally got us into homes before they went on the market. - Diligence / Responsiveness: Brian doesn't stop texting. I don't think he sleeps. I'm not sure. But we appreciated the low bar of formality on communications, texting back and forth when convenient, trading links to new homes, etc. - Frankness: What I've not seen in a lot of RE agents is the frankness to call a lemon a lemon. When we'd do walkthroughs, Brian would proactively flag the negative for us even if I never would have known (ex: brands for things like water heaters). - Creativity: We were always open to fixers and Brian was always a valuable sounding board in walkthroughs for ideas on how easy/hard it would be to fix up a particular place. - Network: If you need a thing related to a house, Brian's got a person in the contact's list. Six months after close, we're still texting Brian for his advice on household problems or recommendations for a X to fix a Y. Brian also hooked us up with a loan agent who gave us a better rate than we were able to find ourselves and who provided exceptional service (Satish Dadral). - Soft Sell: We never once felt like Brian was encouraging us to spend more than we wanted to on multiple home bids we had with him. One time we even missed a house because he encouraged us to not increase our bid any further because the house wasn't worth it ( ... it turned out the house had major water damage and would have been a lemon anyway). - Enthusiasm: Brian's not a bubbly agent like many others, but we always felt like Brian really enjoys his work and is nerdy about it (a high compliment from us) and was always up to check out a new listing. - Thoroughness With Documentation: When it came to disclosures, Brian always read them and gave us his expert thoughts. He helped us learn how to focus on the important parts in the documentation. - Family Background: Small point, but maybe rarely mentioned ... Brian's got a family and for parents of very young children his experience helped us think through what we're going to need in a house as our kids grow up.

We found our dream home and Judy was the sellers realtor. We allowed her to be our realtor as well…read more This was a custom home that had a well and septic tank. This was also a foreclosed property. From the start we felt she was on the side of the seller and not representing us properly. THINGS ONLY GOT WORSE. Judy listed the house with a prelim that was over a year old. We went into contract only to find out that the previous owners filed a judgment against the property months before. The home should never have been on the market. It should be SOP to get an updated title report when listing a home. The house had a well. I kept asking Judy where the well is. I know what wells look like., Judy kept pointing out equipment on the property that was not the well( I can understand not everyone know what a well looks like but she said she knows about wells.) . She made us pay 125.00 to a well inspector just to prove there is no well on the property. At the end of the day, I as the buyer started talking with neighbors and found the well happened to be on one of the neighbors properties. I am not saying that Judy is not nice or that she does not return phone calls. She is nice, she has customer service skills. This is not personal. She did not just sit around doing nothing, she went to the county and asked questions. It came time for our inspection contingency period to end and we had to force her to add wording that states that there is a well issue and judgments on the property. This is ridiculous that she did not add it the first time we asked her to and that she did not want to add it. Its not Judy's fault that the previous owners are making it difficult to sell the house even though it foreclosed on them. We pulled out of the purchase of the home. And now it is no longer on the market because it was never ready to sell. If Judy was a better realtor none of this would have happened to us. We contacted the Broker while he cant say she is wrong all he could say is I, sorry this happened. Judy wont take any responsibility for any of this. She sees no fault in what she did and did not do. How do you deal with that. We lost a lot of money on this house and we feel they should pay for some of it. They have REFUSED to do so.

She stepped in and helped us get the property cleaned, repaired and staged quickly, with much tack and compassion. Even selling in a falling market several years ago, we had several good offers, and the home sold quickly with no issues. We would definitely recommend working with Judy, in fact we have recommended her to friends who have been very pleased. She is very experienced and knowledgable about all aspects of real estate transactions.
