Through MIB's website, I requested a copy of my file, because I planned to apply for life insurance, and I wanted to know what the life insurance company would find out about me! Within days, MIB mailed me a letter to inform me that they conducted a thorough search of their consumer database and that they did NOT have a consumer file about me. Please note that MIB has files only for consumers who have applied for individually written insurance within the past 7 years from insurance companies that are MIB members. Therefore, MIB was most likely correct in not having a file about me. I greatly appreciate MIB's prompt response to my request.
