Since this Italian restaurant opened in 2000, I have been here a handful of times. It is the closest local restaurant and in my opinion is the only reason my family drag me here. How can you say no to your only Nana's 81st birthday? So I filled up on donuts before I went ha ha.
In all of my experiences here I have never left thinking 'wow that was amazing'. In my veggie opinion, it is very average. For main courses the only options are tomato penne, mushroom risotto, margherita and veggie pizza. Same old same old. Putting the food aside, I wish I liked this place more since it is run by a nice little Italian family and it is within walking distance of my house (without a Midsomer Murders style shooting in the street so the roads get closed),but truth be told I don't.
On this occasion I think I was sat in my own bubble where no one could see me other than the folk on the table. I didn't get offered a drink when everyone else did, when I asked for one it got forgotten, and when my coffee arrived it was luke warm.
I give this place two stars because I think my family like the lobster ravioli. Most of them ordered it.
Oh and there is only 1 fish in the fish tank. read more
