Best donuts in Georgia and such amazing sweet staff. Everything they make not just a donuts is out of this world.

You can never get donuts from them. They say call and leave a voicemail but if you call Thursday they may not have any left. They are only open a few days a week. It seems like if you know them you won't have a problem getting some. Someone needs to open a donut shop that can be open more days and produce more product since there is an obvious demand in town. read more

These are the best donuts I have ever eaten. The top Hurt's, Krispy Kreme, D D's The trick is to order ahead of time or get there early.. We occasionally get lucky and get it on the second batch of the day when they are warm! That's when we fell in love. Great local hometown donuts. read more

What place to shop. We drove 1 1/2 hours one way to get their donuts. Wee had them before and it was like tasting old german bake shops. Not only good food but great customer service but great people. Servers should learn from them. Great customer service is almost gone but not here. Amazing southern bakery. Before I dropped sugar from my diet this place was my comfort stop. Open early so get there fast. No need to waste food so they don't over cook. Long lines will explain how much we all love this shop. Running out of items shows they care about freshness and keeping down waste. People buy things up fast. The breakfast sandwiches are amazing I can say enough. No comparison to any cheap mass produced donut that you still see on sales discounted days later. The apple fritters were my favorite. I went to the bakery to pay for my wedding cake. I walked in at 1055am and there was a line of customers. I finally got up to the counter to pay for the cake, and also wanted to order a breakfast sandwich. The menu says they serve until 2pm. The girl looked at me cross eyed, then at the clock. It was 1101am. She went to the back where I could see her speaking to three people that were just sitting around in the kitchen. She came back and told me they stopped serving breakfast at 1100am. "1 minute, come on? The menu says 2pm." Sorry she said. So I paid for my cake and left hungry. Southern hospitality is an antiquated myth. This kind of thing happens all the time in small South Georgia towns. I went to the bakery to make my wedding cake because it was a local store and I like to support local businesses. I found this little shop one day while stopping by the train station. First time in we both got egg sandwiches and a pastry. I got the iced cinnamon roll while the wife got a glazed jelly filled. As a DEVOTED fan of Dunkin, I have to admit, I prefer these donuts. Something about the way they are made just gives them a flavor the big chains can't touch. If it was closer to my house I would be in trouble as we only stop by when we are in Jesup for errands. Very, very addictive. We also have picked up local honey sold in the store too. read more

We have only lived in Jesup for seven months, & during that time, went to this bakery four times, three of which they were closed for vacation. That's THREE vacations in only seven months. The one time we did find them open, the three staff working the counter were unfriendly & did not seem to value or appreciate our patronage. In fact, they made us feel as if we were bothering them. Further, they were out of everything we wanted to try, & we arrived at a fairly early-morning hour. I've read several similar reviews on other sites. What Jesup needs is a good, old-fashioned bakery with consistent hours & southern hospitality- & enough inventory so you don't have to get up at the crack of dawn to ensure availability. We really miss having delicious pastries available -NOT donuts- on those rare occasions when we crave them. read more

I happened to notice that they only have 3 stars and felt the need to leave a review. I'm a native of Jesup and these are simply the best donuts you could ever get anywhere. Seriously, people come from out of town all the time for these! My personal favorite is the cheese danish. This is a must stop if you are looking for a sweet treat! Sugar and Spice has some of the best donuts I have ever tasted and I am a huge donut fan. The donuts are fresh. They are not greasy and they melt in your mouth. I first tasted these donuts in a meeting and they were so good I would drive from Savannah to Jesup just for donuts. I even got my sister hooked on them. This place is just okay to me. I'd never stand in that long line for those bleh donuts and fritters. I prefer the grocery store, boxed version of Krispy Kreme donuts over these. The apple fritters had me still longing for the apple, cinnamon and slightly crisp few pieces of a well made fritter. These missed by miles.
