This is a great ~2 km trail that starts right outside the park Visitor center (at the edge of the parking lot). We looked for kids friendly, dog-friendly (on a leash in this case) short hike that could be done during winter and the Sugarbush trail was close to perfect. The only downside is that since it is so accessible and has free parking (visitor center) it is a busy trail. I am sure it is beautiful (and crowded) also during the summer since it has a good picnic area.
If you are a runner this is not a bad option for a realitivly flat and wide course. Overall perfect activity break in winter for families with kids and later there are the resturunts in Chelsi or just go home for a nap read more
