I cannot say enough good things about Britt. I could use words like observant, patient, informative…read moreand experienced. But what I value most is that she has helped me become a better dog parent by better understanding Sam, my Brittany pup. I think I learned as much from observing how she handled my then 5 mth pup, as much as I did from what she told me. The only negative I would say is that Britt is no longer this Asbury secret and getting into her classes - group or private - may take some scheduling :) (Btw Good Boy Training has abt 200 reviews on google so they are less represented here in Yelp for sure)

Both her training methods plus her obvious love of the animals entrusted to her worked wonders. In four short group sessions, she accomplished more than we were able to in 4 months. It was a complete disappointment that came with a heavy price tag. Mike, the owner, supposedly an…read moreexperienced dog trainer, during our first meeting, deliberately "forgot" to mention that the training of a 5-year old dog should be or might be different than training a puppy. The results spoke for themselves. However, he was quick to demand the full payment, which exceeded $2,000, without any recourse. In a nutshell, we were made to prepay a stranger we met only 20 minutes earlier, who was giving us a typical sale "shpiel" of his company being the best around. What a lie! Apparently, the love for our dog made us forego requisite due diligence and caution in choosing a dog trainer. There was no methodology as to how to train our dog most basic functions. For example, while the first trainer, Dana, kept feeding our dog treats every 2 minutes to make him compliant, the second trainer, Shan.... (forgot her full name) abandoned the "feeding" practice, but suggested to cross the street if the dog was pulling in a different direction during the walk. Contrary "techniques" between the 2 trainers were obvious. After 6 sessions and countless walks and "in-home practices" with and without trainers, our dog did not learn much (in fact, he regressed) and we gave up on Michael's Dog Training because we saw no progress. We realized we were wronged. Bottom line, we strongly do not recommend this business.

I looked at kennels as I was about to take a 3d vacay and a future 10d vacay and knew it wasn't for her. I heard about Midge through a neighbor and all my dealings with her have been very professional and altogether fantastic. Midge was very responsive to my e-mails. We did a meet and greet for about 20m to go over everything. She left behind her insurance certification, and a pen/book for when the walkers come to write about what seems to be just notes on bowel movements of my dog (she's a dog, it's not like they had conversations, haha). Midge was very understanding of all requests that I may/may not have had. She offered to take photos and send text messages after each walk, and etc... I was content without them. We set up another time to do a trial run and my pup responded very well. I handed over my keys and left for vacation. On my request, I received a text message once a day that spelled out anomalies (like she hasn't pooped) and victories (like when she finally pooped). It looked like my doggie was also warming up to Midge and her team (Celeste and Kristen). When we came home, everything was as expected and Midge also followed up with a call just to make sure we got home on-time and etc. Would recommend and this is a delightful way for me to take a vacation and not have to worry about my pup.
