Just 6 weeks later, we're still beaming from our wedding! I reached out to Jennie in February of 2020 to plan for our July 2020 wedding. She was responsive and drew up a plan with recommendations that were just what we were looking for! Once the pandemic hit, we knew things would be on hold for a bit but not how long. We ended up pushing our wedding to May 2021 and she was wonderful about checking in once in a while to see if there were any updates and due to the pandemic there ended up being some changes, she didn't miss a beat. The arrangements and flower selections the day of were EXACTLY what we hoped for and had many comments on how gorgeous they were! The only thing I'm bummed about is that I didn't get to see her in person the day of to say thank you. She was like a flower ninja, came in, set up and left just as quietly as she arrived. I cannot express how wonderful Jennie was to work with. We got married 8/26/2019 in Estes Park, Colorado. Her floral proposal was amazing- but the way everything looked on our big day- blew the proposal out of the water! I had no idea what I envisioned for flowers going into the planning process. Jennie was so helpful and attentive, answered all of our questions, and truly brought a special and personalized touch to each piece of the ceremony and reception area. To be completely honest, I wasn't overjoyed about my experience. I felt that there was trouble With communication. In the beginning she was great, she answered my questions quickly and helped me with any of my concerns. Her communication kind of died off a few months in and then picked back up the week of my wedding. In the middle if I had questions she said she was at he DMV, or at dinner with her in-laws, or in the mountains. Which okay, that's great, just get back to me when you say you're going to, don't take a week. The real problem was on my wedding day. The flowers I was promised in my contract were NOT the flowers I got. She didn't even run the changes by me! We agreed on dahlias, she showed up with roses. My bridal bouquet, cake, and centerpieces were all supposed to be dahlias and they were roses. If I had known that she would go against the contract and bring completely different flowers I would have gone with someone else. She "made up for it" by adding more greenery and making my centerpieces "fuller". That may have been okay with someone else but I WANTED a single, simple dahlia for the centerpieces. She emailed me the day after my wedding to let me know she made changes THE DAY BEFORE. WITHOUT ASKING ME. What was I supposed to say? Yes I understand things come up, things happen. But I definitely don't understand why it was never brought up to me, why she didn't ask ME what I wanted for MY wedding. She didn't offer a refund, she never really even acted like it was a big deal - which it was. She said she couldn't get the dahlias but the bulk of the weddings following mine had the exact dahlias that she "couldn't get." So yes, Jennie is incredibly nice, but incredibly disorganized. She offered me a floral arrangement, not a refund, to soften the blow of completely obliterating my vision. THIS VENDOR WANTS YOUR MONEY, run far and run fast. read more

I was so impressed with our flowers! After getting quotes from different florists that was way out of my budget I found Jennie with Sugar n' Stems. She told me we could definitely do all my flowers in the budget I wanted. She asked so many questions about my day to know what I was looking for. She then sent me flower choices and I loved them. On the day of I was blown away. The flowers were absolutely beautiful . I loved my bouquet, the center piece flowers and the flowers on my cake. Jennie went above and beyond for my wedding and it definitely showed in what she picked out. I loved my flowers they were amazing and I suggest using Jennie!!!! read more

HORRIBLE!!!!!! My flowers were nothing like they were supposed to be for the wedding. Most of them were dead and wilted. I was supposed to have a cascading bouquet and it didn't cascade at all it sat at a very strange angle. The flowers looked like they were thrown together right before she came with no attention to appearances or detail. Then she gets to my venue and off the bat was extremely rude and forgot a lot of what I ordered. She forgot a bridesmaid bouquet, a groomsman boutonniere, flower girl petals, and my bouquet to toss. Once we brought this to her attention she was even more rude when it was purely her mistake. She had seemed so nice when we met with her and discussed the flowers and what my fiancé and I envisioned. Jennie stated that she would be around for a while to help the guys pin their boutonnieres if they needed help. The day of the wedding all she gave was attitude to anyone who asked her for her help. The flowers looked absolutely nothing like what we asked for even though she assured us that she could fulfill what we wanted. A few days after the wedding she sends a bill for the flowers she had to go and make last minute when it was her mistake not bringing them. I responded to her explaining how unhappy I was with the flowers we got and that we shouldn't have to pay for the flowers she had to bring back when it was her mistake not bringing them and she will not respond to me now after multiple attempts to get ahold of her. I would not recommend sugar n stems to any bride unless they want to be disappointed. Jennie is unprofessional and clearly only does the bare minimum to get paid. Once my ceremony was over no one used their flowers in any of the pictures because of how dead they were. Guests were even approaching me commenting on how dead the flowers all looked, extremely embarrassing. I had a beautiful wedding all together with absolutely no thanks to Jennie and the flowers she provided me with. Disappointment is all I received from her. read more
