Two of my friends bought the small $15 packages of sharp cheddar. I tasted it and it was so pungent, very strong and bitter. I was embarrassed that I recommended it. Just know that the extra sharp is a whole different flavor profile than the big blocks of regular cheddar and the person at the register should say this is strong, bitter and pungent instead of saying "have you ever had sharp cheddar before."
