huge "mega" non- denominational church with lots of very decent parents and seniors in the massive…read moreauditorium! *the children's activities are filled with extremely high quality instructors (most are devout volunteer mothers of those children) with lots of amazingly happy and well behaved children who get to meet in large rooms with other kids their age - doing age appropriate activities led by those loving and very effective volunteer mothers and carefully vetted teachers!!! *you can hear the love and care in the children's happy voices! *most of the parents are attending to listen and learn about god from one of the most effective and knowledgeable pastors i have ever experienced!!! *this is one of 10 associated mega churches in the atlanta area where pastor andy stanley provides his unusually excellent and personalized knowledge of god, jesus and the holy spirit via video systems projected onto 3 huge screens at all 10 sites. he often rotates in person to one of the 10 churches and transmits top quality video to all 9 other churches. *the only thing better than those big images of pastor andy stanley is pastor stanley - in person! *can not say too many good things about the knowledge and insight of pastor stanley and the love projected throughout the engite organization. *the enthusiastic live musical introduction and follow-on segments are equally high quality! that raises and opens everyone's spirits to internalize the sense of wonder and love! *clearly god is present in every one of those 10 churches! they, pastor andy, their members and happy children... will change your life!

Gwinnett Church is one of the North Point Ministries campuses, led by Jeff Henderson. The mission…read moreof the church is to "lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ." Adult services are held at 9:15 am, 11:15 am, and 4:30 pm. The church is large, and on most Sundays, the 11:15 service has the largest attendance. It is best to get there early to give yourself time to find a seat and take a look around without feeling rushed. There are parking volunteers who will help you find easy parking. When you enter the building there are a number of guest services volunteers who can help you find the environments that you need to visit. If you are a first time guest, don't forget to stop by The Gallery after the service to learn more about the church. If you would like a smaller crowd, try attending the 4:30 service for a more intimate feel. The music is like attending a free concert every Sunday - nice perk! The messages are often timely, relevant and applicable for most people, whether they consider themselves Christian or not. All are truly welcome - there is no insider/outsider culture here. There are great environments for children and young people: Waumba Land is the environment for pre-K and younger children. In this environment, children are in small classrooms with structured activities during the service. The older pre-K children have their own large group environment in which they sing and dance and hear an engaging Bible story by talented volunteer worship leaders who keep the kids laughing and engaged. For the younger kids, the musicians visit their classrooms for singing and dancing, and the volunteers in the classrooms engage the kids in the Bible story. They kids typically make a craft that they can take home to remember what they learned, and trust me - they will be singing those catchy songs for days! My child currently attends Waumba Land, so that is the environment about which I am most familiar. Upstreet is the environment for elementary age children, and Transit is the environment for middle school students. Inside Out is for students in high school. Upstreet is available at all services. Transit is available in the mornings, and Inside Out meets in the evenings. All of the environments provide for large group and small group learning. Adults are encouraged to join community groups, which enables them to also experience a small group environment. The church believes that life is better in circles, rather than rows, and encourages people to connect to a small group in their area of Gwinnett. There are groups for singles and married couples, and they typically meet weekly throughout the county. You can connect to a community group online or through an event called Grouplink. My husband and I have been members of several groups throughout the years, and we highly recommend the experience. It is a great way to grow in your relationship with other people, with your community, and with God. Gwinnett Church has a hastag of its own: #ForGwinnett. That's because Gwinnett Church wants to be known for what it is for, and it is - you guessed it - For Gwinnett! There are many service opportunities available to support the good work being done throughout the county and beyond to help and serve those around us. While the church is best known for participating in the Be Rich service campaign around the holidays each year, service opportunities are available and encouraged throughout the year.
