I pop in here every now and again to get some sweet treats for the lady and I. It's also a clutch Valentines Day stop as the day approaches. This cafe was very warm and welcoming. My family and I were greeted at the door and given an explanation of how the buffet works. There is one side for breakfast and the other for dinner. We all only had breakfast, but it was good. We also had the mimosa. I believe we had the Sugar Hi Surprise, which wasn't on the menu I believe but it was a mix of different juices and it was tasty. During our meal, the owner came out to introduce herself and give us more information about the place. It was such a lovely story which only made the experience even more wonderful and personal. My experiences with Sugar Hi have been nothing short of incredible. In addition to a few trips to the store, I had the pleasure of enjoying their treats at parties and gatherings for years. While they seem to rotate the menu often, my favorite, BY FAR, is their cake jars. My daughter and I took a ride over to try out this new sweet shop after seeing it in the online Westchester Magazine. We decided to try some ice cream, a Pop Tart, the homemade Ring Ding and a Cake in the Jar. Upon first appearance, the shop is nicely decorated with plenty of seating. Yes as advertised they have a pay by weight wall of candy. We did not go for the candy wall as we were there for some of the homemade treats. The ice cream was good. I had Cappuccino Explosion and she had Fudge Brownie. Next cost we will go all out for one of their famous milkshakes!! We took the rest of our treats to go. At home we had a taste test. First was the "Cake in a Jar". Very tasty looking, very cute packaging. The cake itself was yummy as was the frosting, my daughter loved it. Her only complaint was the layer of sprinkles being to much. The "Ring Ding" was awesome!! However, very sweet and it was large with a lot of creme filling. We only ate half because of how sweet it was, definitely great with milk!!! Here is where the 5th star went. I'm sorry to say that we both did not like the chocolate "Pop Tart". It was a very dry pastry, and even though it has a chocolate fudge like center it doesn't work to moisten the pastry. Our other issue was that it seemed to leave a unpleasant after taste. So we really enjoyed Sugar Hi. My daughter has already chosen some of their other desserts to try next!! I see the S"mores bar in our future for sure!!! read more

We had Sugar Hi make a customized birthday cake for a party of 70 people. The cake was an amazing hit with EVERYONE! The design was incredible to reflect the sailing and sunset love of the birthday person and the taste was better than any cake we have had before. Like most reviews, this place has got sweets down to a science. Even if you don't enjoy sweets, the color scheme of SugarHi is so appealing just from driving by that you just want to go inside and pretend you're a kid in a candy store again. Having tried a majority of items here, and not being a sweets person, I can honestly say they truly perfect each and every item. For example, I dislike ice cream, but I can't stop eating their mint chocolate chip. Some of my other favorites are the cookies N' cream cake, chocolate covered Oreos, and the rainbow cookies. 5 stars for the food, and 5 stars for the atmosphere as well. The interior is black and pink, with a seating room for small parties or those who want to demolish some sweets right at the store. The weighted candy selection is right to your right when you walk in which makes it hard not to buy a 10 lb. bag! The cake was cute and did taste very good. It was a well spent $48 for a special occasion. I'm giving three stars because I'm not a fan of poor customer service. Truthfully I should give it only two. The girl behind the counter acted as if I was annoying her just by being there. My visit to the bakery took no more than 5 minutes but her attitude was vile the entire time. Tl;Dr: Was condescended to for delivering to wrong door, and not tipped on an order for them ($100+ dollars of ingredients delivered to the store) Not a customer but someone who's done delivery for them. I work for a 3rd party delivery app which supplies the majority of my income (not gonna use company names). Last week I was sent to shop an order for them which basically entailed cleaning out the entire baking section of a local target. Admittedly while in a rush I missed the note to deliver to the back door, and had this information condescended at me while holding about 30lbs of their groceries. Delivered the last bag to the back through an overgrown alley, which I would not have been able to get through with the larger and heavier bags I had brought through the front. They never even ended up giving a tip, and I waited a week to write this to make sure it wasn't an app delay. If you support delivery drivers, don't support shops that do this. read more

This place is absolutely INCREDIBLE, DELICIOUS and SWEEEEET in every way. Every baked good and dessert is amazing! We have ordered cakes, cupcakes, bread pudding and a host of other items-all always beyond delicious.  We also love the waffles with ice cream and outrageously creative shakes when we have time to stay and eat!  The candy and other treats (including the non-edible type) around the store make it a dream for parents and kids. The owners are so rude that it is shocking they continue to do business. After I ordered, I went online to read reviews and read were someone had the same experience and claimed that the cakes are not home made and the icing came from a can. I did not what to believe it but we cut the cake, I tasted and sure enough it was from a can and that was boxed cake. This place is not a bakery and the baking is not fresh nor baked from scratch. The cake we had was Dunkin Hines with Pilsbury CANNED ICING! It was DISGUSTING to have an establishment charge the HIGH prices they charge for BOXED and CANNED flavors. I threw the whole cake in the trash along with my money. Will never go back and I told all my friends. They should change their name to #FAUXBAKERY. The High is appropriate for the prices. The cakes and treats at SugarHi are SO good that my sister who is on a strict diet has broken it once in the past 3 months only for a SugarHi cake the other night. NEVER COME HERE!! We took our three year old in and she acted like a three year old in a candy store. Looking, touching packaged candy, excited. STACY the employee stared her down with such disgust and anger like she was a criminal and a total nuisance. The level of unprovoked rudeness and the way she made us feel was terrible.
