This place is the worst cable/internet company ever.
DO NOT use any part of what this place has to offer unless you like being screwed out of your money. Period.
They don't deserve 1 star, more like minus 3.
I, being new to the area and not knowing better at the time, wanted to have cable and internet like I had in the city. I signed up for triple play that included cable tv, highspeed internet, and home phone for about
$150 a month. After only a month, I decided to see what else was available because the cable tv had only about 2 channels that I found anything I wanted to see. Mostly, it is shopping channels, religious programs, 100+ music channels, Bonanza, and Big Valley. Unless you are willing to pay another $100 a month, and then you can get what should be included in the first place. Oh, you can see all the channels on the guide but when you choose one, it says "To view this channel, you will need to upgrade." Sweet!
I looked at the statement, and the tv crap was the most expensive so I decided to take off just that and keep the phone and cable. I took all the cable boxes and remotes to the office and turned them in around July 15. I was told that my bill coming on July 23 would be the same as the last one, but in August it would go down to about half. Also, there would be a service guy coming to disconnect the tv service. I told her it was already connected to a different service provider as of 7/14, but she said he would still need to look at the pole and equipment that is outside. Ok, fine, whatever.
Then on August 23, they take a payment directly from my checking for the full amount including the cable tv that I canceled back on July 15.
I went to the office and the same person I gave the boxes to was the only person there. I showed her what happened, and she agreed that I shouldn't have been charged, but she had no idea what to do about it.
So I called customer service and try to explain that I stopped the cable tv in July, but they tell me that my tv service is still active and that my recent payment has me paid until mid September and to have a nice day.
Really??? Oh Boy! I feel much better now! Whoo Hoooooooo!
She transferred me to someone else because everyone there can connect services, but only one special person is allowed to disconnect anything, and that one is so busy trying to sell you some else that it still takes a while to get anything accomplished.
I explained what had happened and when I had turned the equipment in, but they told me I was mistaken, and that on her screen, the tv service was still active so what's the problem?
Well, lets see. Like I told Goofy and BoBo before you, I canceled tv service 6 freakin' weeks ago and you are STILL CHARGING ME
FOR IT IN ADVANCE!
So I finally convinced this person to turn it off, and the phone, and the wifi, but I kept the internet because they are, sadly, the only one around here with high speed internet.
