I passed my road test today! Instructor Vincent Liu is great! I tried to have someone else teach me outside of this school but it was not the same. People can be good drivers but not know how to teach driving. Instructor Liu is very good at what he does. I could tell that he is very experienced from the first lesson that I had with him. He is calm and knows how to explain driving techniques in both English and Chinese. What I loved the most was that he gave me wonderful feedback and was extremely encouraging. Instructor Liu definitely helped me with my fear of driving and gave me the courage to take the road test! I highly recommend scheduling your lessons with him if you decide to go with this driving school. read more

Instructor was naggy, not encouraging, and did not help me build my confidence. There could have been better ways to communicate what I wasn't doing right. The instructor made me very nervous before and during the test and I ended up making mistakes I don't think I would make normally. My dad had a driving license in China but wanted to get one in Mass. He recently took a few lessons with David and successfully passed the road test yesterday. David was so patient and friendly. He taught him lots of rules and what the test would be. He gave him a mock exam and pointed out many things he needed to pay special attention to. There were a lot of things and were really helpful for the test and the actual driving as well. David helped with translation during the road test as well. I would highly recommend David and the driving school, especially for people who need Chinese translations. read more

If I could give zero starts I would but I don't have that option. Do NOT GO TO Success Driving School located at 70 Billings Rd, Quincy, MA 02171!!! Success driving school is a total rip-off. My son recently had a road test, failed, and found out that the content that was being tested was never taught by the driving school!! We spent almost $1000 just for the course and learning fee and an additional $130 for them to schedule the road test for my son to set him up for failure so they can charge another $130 for a second road test. What a SCAM! We literally don't have a choice because the driving school has the car that qualifies for the RMV road test. Quality of lessons is overall good. My favorite instructor was Instructor Zhang. He was patient and glad to answer any questions I had. I was able to get my driver's license after several attempts. Seriously they should be closed. THE WORST driving school I've ever encountered. The instructor never provided any official document to me for enrollment into the school's courses so I am not sure if he was trying to let me go under and take the cash or if I'm actually enrolled into this school's driving lessons. I got his business card from a friend and I contacted him. He then asked me for a picture of my permit. I was going to take my first lesson today but last night he texted me and said that I AM REQUIRED to take 2 lessons and pay him upfront. He was telling me if I only take 1 lesson, I need to pay $10 more due to some fee. I was never informed of any fees or policies ahead of time at all!!! I felt so uncomfortable to be "forced" to take 2 lessons for my first lesson but I guess there's no other option he's giving me. So I was going to tell him I'll take the 2 lessons today, but then he texted me "good luck finding another school that is cheaper, I'm going to cancel you for today's class" This instructor's name is Jason. VERY unprofessional! Because I am Chinese, he sent me Coronavirus news and stuff. Discrimination AF. This school really need to find some quality instructors! There's TONS of driving schools out there and it's ALL THE SAME PRICE! I am glad I didn't even start my first lesson with them! The instructors are very rude and unprofessional. Most of the time they shout on you rather than giving you confidence and keep you calm. I had taken two classes with different instructor one with a young person and another old one.Older instructor was making me nervous throughout whole class of 2 hrs, he is not giving instructions before hand once I reaches on end point then only he tells. Love this driving school and my favorite teacher Mr Liu. Mr Liu not only tell me the road test skill but also give me lots of advice for future driving. He always tells me to be a safe person for people and for me. With his advice and teaching, I passed my test just one time. He is always helpful and kindness with lots of humors. Not really sure how this business survive. Never expected this level of service would still be operating in Massachusetts. The communication from the operators seemed very demanding. You are most likely going to get hang up after they finished informing you things. If you want to ask questions, they will sound like they were annoyed. On the day of the road test, I was told to arrive at 5:30am. I waited for 45 mins at Braintree station to get picked up but no one showed or even reached out after an hour. As a first timer, this experience has been scary and really a traumatized event because you will never knew what's going on. However, a guy named An was very friendly on the day of the road test. He is probably the only nice person you will encounter in this hopeless business. read more

Just passed my driving test at the Braintree RMV. All credit to my teacher Mr. Lin. He is very an amazing teacher who is methodical, teaches you all the important rules required to pass the Road test and mostly importantly to be a good driver. I took 4 practice classes with Success Driving School and could see my improvement with each class. Success driving school takes care of all the processes: Booking your appointment with the RMV, syncing up to set up practice classes, sending you reminders before class, bringing you the form on the Road test day and taking you to the Road test venue itself. I only took one lesson. The car was dirt. The guy was taking notes but he never told me what I needed to work on.

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a driving school. I don't have a problem with the actual instructors, but the people on the phone should be fired immediately. They are rude and unprofessional. I called them up at 12:30 time, and they responded by saying that they were on lunch break. I tried calling them the same day at 4:30, before there closing and there was no response. This happened multiple times, and booking with them is one of the worst experiences I've had. When it does go through, after conversing with them, and trying schedule something with them and it doesn't work out, they just hang up on you. They also do not understand that they are rude. I've had conversations talking to my instructor about the difficulty in scheduling a lesson, and he himself also understands my frustration. If you really are planning on going with this school, I would plan on speaking with them in Cantonese or Mandarin, as any other language would probably be inaudible to them. read more

This is the absolute worst place you can possibly go to for driving school. Firstly, the driving school led by Bob is fantastic. Good job Bob. However, the people on the phone that run the place are morons. I have done all my hours and everything needed to book my road test. I went in multiple times, called multiple times, and complained many times too. My road test has still not been booked over a month of nagging. EVERYTIME I go in, they tell me I have something missing. After they check their files, which they seem to misplace a lot, they say they will give me a call. Complete BS! They never call me. EVERYTIME I call in, they tell me I am missing something, I tell them no, I am not. They THEN, say I have something new that I am missing &I have to go in for them. I say I've already done that, but I am forced to go in anyways. AND THEREFORE, the cycle repeats. SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND MONEY, I WISH I HAD NEVER GONE TO THIS PLACE. I've never written a bad review on yelp. But this is worth writing as the service is absolutely horrifying. The instructor was rude so I didn't feel comfortable continuing the lesson. He would tell me to signal right and change to left lane or turn left. He did it twice during my lesson. I'm not sure if he is qualified to be an instructor as he obviously is mentally challenged. Driving is not a rocket science. Please don't try to act superior when you're teaching a new student driver. They actually charged me a penalty for cancelling. Yes I paid bc I feel like it was operated by a gang and I would be murdered for not paying the $10 fee. Please someone close down this school! read more

The good reviews are clearly planted by this insane "driving instructor not!" He tried run me into traffic by zooming up my right side in a single lane nearly pushing me into incoming traffic! Both lanes go straight. Even if they didn't - when is it okay to pass someone on the right in a single lane!!! I had a traumatic experience in this driving school. Different instructors show up at each appointments, and in my third session I met Mr. Lin, extremely rude and unprofessional instructor. I almost had an accident because of the rude and unclear instruction. Mr. Lin would also make annoying noises whenever I make an mistake and yell at me, which makes me extremely uncomfortable and nervous. Whenever I am going slower he always yell at me to hit the gas pedal. He even said the f word when I decide to stop and wait for a car at an intersection. After I told him that I was nervous learning driving, as it was only my third session learning how to drive, he scolded me that I should go see a psychiatrist for the nervousness. I was aghast by his comment and couldn't believe this individual should be allowed to teach. Towards the end of the session he told me to turn under a yellow light in an extremely busy multi-road intersection. He was not clear about where to go and I almost got stuck in the middle of the intersection and got hit by incoming traffic, and Lin just yelled more at me. I would not recommend this school to anyone. Nobody deserves such terrible treatment from a service they pays for. I would not take their class again even if they offer it to me for free. read more

I had had hard time passing the road test sponsored by my friends and coaches from other schools. This time I was sponsored by Mr. Bai from this school, also had 2 classes just before the test. And I made it!!! Mr. Bai was very responsible and patient, gave me a mock test and let me know every detail I needed to improve. What he said about the test and the location specifics proved to be true and really helpful. The car was excellent for the test, small and easy to control. The school contact was responsive - I was able to schedule 2 classes and a test within 1 week. This school could be more expensive than some other options but it's definitely worth the money. read more

Don't recommend this place! My sons road test was scheduled. He and his instructor waited at the RMV for over an hour to be told the test was cancelled. RMV stated someone from the school cancelled. When we called the school they stated they didn't cancel and told us we need to talk to the RMV. Absolutely unprofessional and not helpful. read more

I took around 4-5 lessons from here. The receptionist is very nice when booking the lessons. She called a day in advance to remind me of the lessons. I got 2 different instructors, a younger and older man. The younger man was extremely friendly and made me feel a lot more comfortable driving. However, when I took a lesson from the older man, he would constantly use the brake on me when I was simply driving. Not only was it a safety hazard, but it would catch me off guard and made me nervous while on the road. I recently took the road test in Watertown the other day. They charged $120 for a sponsored car, which I thought was overpriced, considering how I had to travel to Chinatown in order to get picked up and driven to the DMV. When I got into the car, the sponsor started asking me questions on what direction the steering wheel should be when parking on a hillside. I could barely understand his English and he would yell at me for not answering correctly (that was because of this reason). While I was taking the road test, the sponsors phone rang twice, which I thought was extremely unprofessional. Unfortunately, I did not pass the driving test and was on the verge of tears from all the stupid mistakes I made. As soon as the road test instructor left, the sponsor kept laughing and making fun of my mistakes. He then would not stop scolding me, saying how he had told me in the car to not do this and that, yet I still did (due to nervousness). I felt miserable and just wanted to be left alone. As we were exiting the DMV, someone called the sponsor again, and I had to listen to the sponsor loudly talking and laughing in Chinese for the full 30 minutes going back to Chinatown. Again, very unprofessional. The reason why I gave this place a 1-star rating is mostly due to the sponsor I received, and how unprofessional he was. I am considering making a complaint to the school, but I doubt they will do anything about it. read more

I have to say that people at the phone weren't the nicest, but my instructor was very patient and knew a lot. I scheduled my third lesson with instructor Jason, and I took six lessons with him. He basically taught me everything I needed to know within four lessons and had me practiced for the test for the last two lessons. I passes the rode test at my first attempt, which was what I would've never imagined. I think the price is very reasonable and I recommended my friends to this school. read more

Mr Lin is My driving instructor from China Guang zhou look like his 60 years old, my friend from China told me they are good so i decided to give it a try. Booking for lesson was easy and the the lady on the phone was very efficient, I just want to say Mr Lin whole Car has this stinky odor, I cant take my mind away from it, it just bother me the whole 90min of my driving lesson, even few hour after my lesson I still felt the smell around me in side of me plus he was yelling at me when i make mistake on my first lesson with him on turns. I would rather not drive with him again I hope my next instructor will be nicer and care about their personal hygiene, over all I think he is not happy with this job he have a rude tone and acted as if i am his enemy, i cant stress enough over the smell even recalling now make me sick to my gut. And that was one of the newer car among the other two older car they have. He ask for money up front when the min i got in the car Is he that mean to me because I did not tip extra for the lesson? When I started learning how to drive in this schools as a first-time driver, my goal was not only to pass the test but also become a competent driver on the road on a short-period. I was lucky enough to become a student of instructor Allen(who is very difficult to be booked). I think Allen has a great talent for teaching. He is friendly, humorous and patient. There were times when I did the most stupid mistakes and he instilled confidence in me. He also knows the ins and outs of the road test and will prepare you to the test of his ability. I passed the test on first attempt one month ago and I am very confident about driving now. I've recommended Allen to some of my friends (obtain diving license for 7years but afraid to drive; first-time drivers as me), they told me he is an excellent teacher. School has package($280 for 10 classes) (40 mins for each class )which is a good deal compare to other driving school.Highly recommend Success Driving school. I successfully passed the road test after seven lessons with coach Lin. He was very serious in teaching and explained in detail about all the essentials of each exam part. At the same time, his teaching is also efficient, which you can expect to complete all the courses of the exam in 4-6 lessons. Also, it is worth mentioning that on our way to the road test, he eased the pressure of my exams by encouraging me through the discussion of news and made me finally pass the road test. I made an appointment at 9 am for my road test and waited for about an hour for the coach to show up and drive me to the test center. I called the coach he kept saying waiting for 15 minutes. Then I called the school after few times the school didn't pick up my phone call. This is the worst experience I've ever had! ( I had a road test using another driving school before). I recently passed my road test and I am very happy about it. I learned about this school from a co-worker of mine who also had passed the road test. I took driving lessons with Bob, who is a really great driving instructor. You just have to schedule your lessons through the school, which is sometimes a little bit frustrating because you might get a receptionist who is not that friendly. Sometimes I would call to book some lessons and she would tell me to call back later. I wouldn't get any explanation why though, plus their English is not that good. So, you have to be very clear about what you want and they will do it right. Besides that, everything was great. The instructor can pick you up from T stations near by, and 1 lesson, which takes 45 minutes costs $28. I think that's a fair price. read more

lol where do I even start... I've been *trying* to drive for a little over a year now; of course I chose the cheapest option, and of course, I've regret this. This school is ridiculously unprofessional; everything's sort of shady and uncoordinated from the teachers and their methods of scheduling, to the way they choose to teach you. When you call the school to make a one on one appointment or for anything else, they speak Chinese. Not that there's anything wrong with that, they're fully capable of speaking in what seems like very, very broken English, which I very much appreciate. Which wouldn't be so bad if only what seems like 6 out of the 7 instructors weren't speaking this way while trying to teach me, an easily excitable teenager just learning to drive. But even in knowing this, they don't refrain from yelling at students for simple mistakes and overall nerves as well as resorting to harsh explanations of what you're supposed to do while driving. Which doesn't help when with every one on one appointment is with someone completely different; I've learned 4 different ways to parallel park and nearly 100 different ways to feel like sh*t for not knowing how to drive. After a generous amount of classes, I thought I was more than ready. The morning they were meant to pick me up at 8 am, they were 30 minutes late and charged me a $100 fee for the test. Which was peculiar since on their website they had written $80 for students. But I was too nervous to pay too much attention at the time and of course the instructor wasn't too upset about this either. Long story short, I failed my road test and took the bus home do to a miscommunication of how I'd get home with the instructor. Fast forward 4 months and I'm taking my road test again with another girl going for her first time. I was told this time over the phone the fee would be $80 and watched as the other girl paid $80 for her first time test like I hadn't. So I brought it up. The instructor exploded and had begun talking to the girl in Chinese, and at times in asking her about the $100. She was confused, he was nervous, I was angry. In order to cover up he began saying that first time test was $100 to which I referred to the girl's $80. Then he told me to call the school but at that time it wouldn't matter because he doesn't write down every transaction of cash from hands and my argument was practically invalid. Well, I failed my road test again and will not make the same mistake of going to success school ever again. Pretty terrible, mentally scarring. -3/10 read more

In my opinion using success driving school was worth it. They were inexpensive and the teacher was very nice. Jason Ng, my driving instructor was not only very patient but also very careful and skillful. He taught me how to drive safely and obey the traffic laws. He always let me know if I made a mistake, taught me why and helped me correct it. In addition, he shared his experiences with me on how to avoid accidents and respond to emergencies on the road. When asking him questions, he explain everything in detail before the road test. I only take 8 lessons to passed the road test in 1st time. I really appreciated that. I will recommend all my friends to Instructor's Jason. read more
