Although the bun wasn't as big as I'm used to, it was loaded with well seasoned shrimp. The corndog: I believe it was hand dipped however it was a bit overcooked. The 3 1/2 year old I had with me tore it up. The hotdog was huge and it must have been good because every bite was gone The things that needed work: The fries were undercooked and soggy. We got one order to share and we tossed them. I couldn't even get the fry obsessed toddler to eat them. The hamburger was definitely a premade patty from a grocery store. Subpar at best. It was real meat unlike a place like McDonald's which who knows what that meat (term used loosely) is. Would I stop by there again? Yes if I was too hungry to make it to Greenville. I would order a po-boy again but that's about it. The service was friendly. There was no indoor seating. The toddler and I sat at the picnic tables outside. Even though the temp was 93 degrees, the fan they had aimed at the tables did a great job. It was actually comfortable as far as temperature. I will say if you're not from the south or a place where you're acclimated to extreme heat, you need to be prepared to eat in your car with the AC on blast.

Three of us ordered some version of a BLT and it was sooo delicious! My son ordered a double bacon cheeseburger and he loved it. Now, the negative, they've ruined all other BLTs for me. The amount of bacon they used, took this very basic American staple, and shot it through the roof. I felt like a queen eating this sandwich. My husband and kids all got delicious smoothies too. The restaurant feels like a country hole in the wall and I LOVED IT. I would absolutely make this a regular stop on my crossing country journeys.

The Sonic app said Monday all shakes "any flavor, any size" were half off but when we ordered she said none of the speciality shakes including the red velvet that we ordered were part of the deal even though it showed it online. OK, since we already ordered we paid the full price for a large but the card reader wouldn't work and we tried two cards so again frustrating. Then the server brought out the shake and hands it to my husband and the lid wasn't on all the way and Red milkshake spilled all over his hands and jacket. She laughed then said she would get napkins while we sat there trying to contain the mess. She brought napkins but no offer to replace the spilled shake and then she continued to ask for payment from my husband as he is still cleaning up and covered. So anyway I paid and we left b/c by that time we were over it. $7+ for a messy shake and stained jacket (but the shake was tasty!) . Accidents happen but it wasn't handled well. And I wish Sonic would fix their deals so they cover all shakes as advertised.

I see why my aunt enjoys this place when she decides to come out. I jokingly said to our server sprinkle a little something extra on auntie it's on me and before we left the staff surprised her with a piece of cheesecake and they sang Happy Birthday. We went there specifically for the cheesecake and she got a piece. I loved being surrounded by the dollars with messages as well. One in particular placed there in 2026 said something along the lines of "keep going". The message was right on time, I lost my father in February and a good sign here and there keeps me going. We arrived after lunch so it wasn't too busy. We had the back area to ourselves while we celebrated her and had good food and dessert. I will be back the next time I'm in town. Thank you to everyone on the staff at Toney's for making this day a special one for my aunt. 80
