We have lunch here today and unbelievably friendly service is provided here. Our first visit here. There are smiles and great gestures to motivate you to return. I ordered a prime rib sandwich with a cream soda drink. The staff ensure they do it the way you want! Swiss cheese melted into the beef. Really, Great. With my sandwich, there appears the protein is little more than the average sandwich shop. There are inside tables as well outside tables available. Will we return? Definitely, yes!

Stepping inside..... we felt It was comfortable but it was just another sandwich shop. Ok.... BUT...... When we were able to sample the sandwiches on toasted rolls, it totally changed our mind. ITS NOT YOUR ORDINARY SANDWICH SHOP !!! With so many YELP people participating in this event, it was served as a buffet style. They were quick to serve all of us in a timely manner. But normally, you go up to the counter, select what you want and move on to cash out. Easy peazy !!! We each got to taste 2 sandwiches (really 1/2 sandwich portions), with a bag of chips & a drink. I selected the turkey w/ avocado & Mama's Meatball. My first taste was Mama's Meatball....... The flavor was over the top delicious! . Probably of how it was cut... I got the side with only 2 meatballs. I sure wished I had a couple more. The meatballs were moist & tender but the sauce was the BEST (in my opinion ). My second sandwich was the Turkey w/ avocado & cucumber slices. I was surprised to see that It was piled high with turkey on a toasted roll and was very tasty. Very nice portion of meat. My husband chose the Italian & A Wreck. Loaded with a good portions of meat on a toasted roll. He enjoyed both sandwiches. Next course was the soup.... Our table tasted the loaded potato soup, chili & the pot pie soup. Everyone enjoy what they selected. Ooohhh, in house made cookies are a MUST !! For dessert~ along with Oatmeal chocolate chip, the white chocolate sugar cookie & the double chocolate one, we were also able to taste a good sample of Chocolate & Oreo Cookies shakes. We'd go back JUST for those !!! We will definitely stop back into a Potbelly Sandwich store again !!! Highly recommended !!!

Absolutely LOVE Brown Bag Eatery!…read more The chicken parm is hands down one of the best I've ever had, perfectly crispy with lots of cheese, loaded with flavor, and seriously comforting. You can tell everything is made with care. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. I also love all the fun signs and little details around the restaurant, it gives the place such a cool, energetic vibe and makes it feel really unique. Great food, great energy, and great people. I'll definitely be coming back again and again!

Don't let the outside fool you. The original establishment was more for take-out and catering but now fixed up with six tables. It is not a fancy place but comfortable and cozy. What is lacking in space made up in taste. I sampled their Philly Cheese steak with coleslaw with Snapple Peach Iced Tea. The Cheese steak was cooked to perfection and coleslaw with right balance between creamy, tangy, and sweet. I took the chocolate chip cookie home. Love that cookie! Next table patron recommended me to try the Rueben, Italian Pasta salad and soup next time! The price is reasonable. Mom and her staff are friendly with that neighborhood feel! A great place for lunch!

When I asked the owner's wife why they chop -- actually mince --pizza toppings, her response made…read moresense. "We think it tastes better this way." Personally, I think they're best served by doing it the traditional way. So we ordered a pie, half extra cheese, half pepperoni. Look at my photo. Hard to distinguish which is which. Doing a taste test, the side with pepperoni was a bit spicier, had more oomph. But, with the pepperoni chopped so fine, if I didn't know, I'd equate the taste to a richer sauce. The extra cheese side didn't appear cheesier than a regular pie. (I think back to NY's Rays Pizza -- which popped up all over the place -- known for its cheesy goodness.) Everyone's gauge of good pizza is what they grew up with. I think Fat Apple's crust is fine. Has the "fold" I look for. I also do the grease test. When grease slides off the slice -- pointy side down -- that's a good thing! Yup, theirs passed the test. While I didn't order salad, I noticed the table next to mine. Their Greek salad looked delish. And when we started chatting, the couple confirmed that it was as good as it looks. All in all, 3.4 stars. And while I'm not a regular pizza-eater, I will come back!

Meh.... We were in…read moretown camping fir a few days and didn't want to cook the first night. So we try to find a local place to get carryout from. We tried this despite mixed reviews given its proximity. Wife got the eggplant parm sub and I got a pepperoni pizza. Wife said the sub was good and commented on how good the sauce was. My pizza was meh. I saw reviews saying the toppings were "chopped up," and the little girl that took our order asked if we knew about the toppings. I said yes. But honestly, I tasted ZERO pepperoni. She asked me if I got a cheese or pepperoni pizza, so maybe it was an honest mistake. When my order was taken the little girl asked the kitchen hiw long for the order. "25 minutes or so." So I get there 25 minutes later. Only one two-top in the place, but I have to wait another minutes or so. No big deal generally, but the gentleman in the kitchen moved as fast as my dead father. So I get back to my camper less than 10 minutes later and the pizza is literally ice cold. Oh well, win some and lose some. But don't spend your $30 for a pizza and sub here. PS, the Zeppelis were good. So there's that I guess.

Let's talk smoothies first. The Inland Bliss, Sunrise Bay and Paradise Seeker were on repeat for me the entire week. No sugar added, just pure blended fruit and ice. For breakfast one morning I had the Jersey Special on a baguette and I haven't had a breakfast sandwich like that since being back home in New York. Fried egg, Taylor ham, bacon, hash brown and cheese. I'm still dreaming about it. For lunch I had the turkey and provolone on a croissant and was completely blown away. Simple, flavorful and absolutely delicious. My fiancé had the tuna melt one day and loved every bite. I also tried the French onion soup and it was soooooo yum. What made every single visit even better was Anna and Uglus (I hope I spelled that right). They welcomed me back every time like I was a regular and that kind of warmth is everything when you're away from home. The place is cute and quaint. Definitely somewhere you can bring your laptop to and get some work done. I wish I had something like this back in my hometown.
