I ordered the Cesar Salad which included grilled chicken strios, half of a hard-boiled egg, parietal cheese, and all sorts of other vegetables. The salad also ame with some cherries which was a flavorful twist. The restaurant is super modern and it looks quite new. There's also an outdoor patio area, which was also full of patrons as my luck would have it. Even though they were busy, I was helped right away, and there was very little wait for them to prepare my salad. The salad was healthy and delicious I will definitely return next time when it's not so busy.

So many pastries and breads to choose from! We of course had to try the famous guava roll which is croissant-like that also had cheese custard. The cute little pig like cookie was cute. There is always a line outside, but it moves relatively quickly if you pickup. If you'd like to sit inside or outside, I'd definitely be prepared for a wait. The pastries themselves were expensive, but were filling. Overall, everything wasn't sweet enough and the flavors were very average. The guava roll had a tangy cream and there wasn't enough filling to pastry. The cacao roll also was tangy and had a waxy texture due to the nibs. I wished both were a little sweeter. The dulce de leche bun was also dry and very messy to eat. It did taste the best out of the three pastries though. My favorite from the trip was the beetroot juice, it was so refreshing.

I thought my rancheros del ojo was good (not great, but fine). My husband didn't like his meal though. So at the cost of 800 mxn (about $40 USD right now), I don't think it was worth it. The server actually recommended some of the American dishes for breakfast, so this place may be best for just juices, smoothies, açaí bowls, and pancakes, etc. But the Mexican dishes were just okay overall. The space is beautiful though! There's a patio for warm days and lots of seating, including upstairs. Their fresh juices were great as well.

This small bakery is off on a side street and the only reason why I found it was because I just happened to be close to exchanging money. In fact there are at least five or six other small restaurants on the same street. I bought just a single Danish that had some type of pineapple filling. There were so many more like strawberry and orange that were equally tempting. I already knew I wasn't going to go for some heavy chocolate pastry or even a concha for that matter. Calories are important these days and I think I made the right choice with the pineapple danish. The first bite is awesome!

Crêpe was good but not the best I've had, the dough was thick for my taste and apparently at this spot all the Crêpes have cream cheese. Make sure to tell them no cream cheese if you are lactose intolerant. I asked if they could please remake it because I was lactose intolerant and they fix it with no charge. I was so happy and the fact that they had an amazing attitude made the Crepe taste better. Other than this place is awesome Muchas gracias por sus atenciones y las delicias.

Started with a mimosa and the chia pudding. The fruit was super fresh and the bowl was surprisingly filling. Then I ordered the avocado toast with a side of bacon. We arrived around 10:30 a.m. and were pleasantly surprised to be seated right away even though the restaurant looked packed. There's actually an upstairs area that you can't see at first, so don't be discouraged if it looks full when you walk in. Our group ordered a mix of items -- fresh green juice, two plates of chilaquiles, and two hamburgers -- and everything was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The portions were generous without being overwhelming, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. Service was quick and friendly. Our server was kind, made great recommendations, and navigated the language barrier with patience and smiles. What makes this spot even more special is its location inside a small marketplace filled with local vendors selling everything from clothes and jewelry to organic oils and scrubs. After breakfast, we wandered through the shops and ended up buying a few cute items -- the perfect way to start our trip! Overall, Petit Roquefort was such a delightful surprise -- great food, warm service, and a charming atmosphere. Highly recommend for your first (or any!) morning in CDMX.
