Most of their produce is of course imported from Italy which makes it authentic but its homely feel and petit cafe style layout make it not just a place buy much loved delicacies but a place to have coffee, a sandwich and to sit and relax and absorb the amazing smells. Whenever I come here I am always greeted loudly and with genuine cheerfulness from behind the counter. The service is prompt, efficient and charming and I never feel as though I'm being taken for a ride. Biscuits, condiments, meat, cheese, pasta, sweets, coffee and more are all inside. This is a fairly large deli and they have made great use of the space by spreading the wares out so you can browse through and examine the produce easily. The dips are fantastic and I'll often stock up on eggplant dip and tzatziki - they are always delicious and are perfect with some ciabatta from up the front. The coffee isn't that good but its easily the best along this shopping strip.

I have been looked after tremendously for 20 years as a loyal customer of the Amato's Family operated delicatessens. The food is always a wonderful freshness with extra detail to providing an extensive range of health foods, such as home made meals you can take home and put in freezer for the tines you may not feel like cooking but wish to eat home cooked delicious meals, goats and sheep cheeses that are reasonable priced compared to woolworths and cokes who ruthlessly set prices way beyond the average customers budget as they force many delicatessens to close illuminating competition. They will vaccume seal segments of a cheese wheel for egsampke so you can store it easier. Sour dough bread, celtic salt, olives, a huge range of salamis, meats, cofees, and chocolate. Oil in large containers at much more friendly prices than our grocery giants. Sundried tomatoes, great range of anti pasto, pasta, pasta sauces, glazed cherries that are hard to get these days. Truffles, a bite to eat for lunch, as well as so much more. If you woukd like to order a cheese wheel this can be rearranged. They will also post some of your favourite cheese to you if your visiting relatives interstate. I may not have mentioned dried herb range that is much more fresh than top brands like hosts that are sold at supper markets. I find that it is best to go to deli first before going to the big grocery stores. Bacon eggs. Fresh dips, the quality is absolutely exceptional in comparison to Coles and woolworths who drive business to coliseum so they don't have to maintain any standard without competitors. We should all be wise and support local businesses like this. And start saying no to colesworth lack of ability to care about the customer on any level. I use to buy goats cheese for $28 a kilo, and coles and woolworth sold same brand fir $58 a killo. As a result it has forced general prices of cheese up massively. But without these family run business competing with the supperamarke5 giants who are always willing to push prices out of people's range as thier greed shows no remorse, or drive to provide customers with what they need compared to well run business that offers a generous sprinkle of love with each product on offer. It's time we take our power back from Colesworth. Amato's Deli, a well worth investment. Highly recommended, from a loyal customer for 20years. Kind thoughts, Kristen.

Is now a good time to mention that I love deli's? There are a few deviations from your normal deli options, think pizza bases, honey and coffee, although not all together that would be horrible. The dips are fresh and delicious and the sauces authentic Italian. The staff are helpful and friendly and be sure to check out the specials racks out the front of the store. Don't forget to leave your trolley outside as there really is standing room only here. Which is easy to forgive when your in close proximity to great smelling deli staples.

The supermarket end is always well stocked, the qaulity of produce both fresh and aged impeccable, and you can get just about anything you're after. Which is a relief if you've ever been to a bodgy supermarket that is scant in offerings, and leaves you a slightly depressed. In fact Boccaccio is the complete opposite; a happy place that's always chockers with an incredible range. The Cheese section is enormous for the shop of it's size, the deli is on par, fruits and veggies are all there, and all in great fresh qaulity; the layout of the shop and selection of items are well thought out and chosen well. Boccaccio, both for the cellars and it's supermarket are absolute first rate when it comes to qaulity shopping with extensive and well sought range and breadth of fresh groceries of every kind. The supa Iga has you covered for: produce, green groceries, cheese, meat, and everything else, it's incredible; I don't think I've found another supermarket that can match it. It's worth noting here the most integral decision for choosing to visit- that it's not any of the big two supermarkets. Onto the bottle shop ergo the actual cellars; a brilliant offering of high qaulity wines of all kinds, beers, spirits which are broken down wonderfully into their respective categories, and any other form of bloody decent tipple you may fancy. in short all the alco-wholes, done very well.
