Thank you Yelp for helping me find such a great restaurant while I was out of town! Most of their food is made in house so you know it will be fresh and flavorful unlike most places that buy from one of the three big foodservice companies that are making all food BLAND! 4.5/5!

The seated area is very compact, and it felt like the kind of place you needed to whisper if anyone else was in the room so you didn't disturb them. I got the special which was the Birria quesadilla served with chips and queso. My mother opted for the big back sandwich and my aunt had the soup of the day, a chicken noodle. I also ordered a slice of a gooey butter cake, this was the only downside to my meal. I didn't care for it at all, but everything else made up for it. They also had flowers from the local community garden, if you give a donation you can take some flowers. I grabbed a few as i cannot ever tell myself no to flowers. Great experience will be back soon, i gotta get my hands a quiche soon.

They have both indoor and outdoor seating, although the indoor seating is very tight or at the bar. While we were there, it started raining, so everyone outside came in and mostly had to stand around. We got two sandwiches as a to go order, and it took about 45 minutes. So, if you need food fast, I would not suggest this place. The sandwich itself was a build your own, and came with Ruffles type chips. The sandwich was good, and all the ingredients tasted fresh! My total after tax and tip was about $16. Interesting ambience inside, as the indoor seating and ordering area was pretty dark having red lightbulbs everywhere. Overall, I would recommend this place, but maybe not for large parties or a quick bite to eat.

The soup spice was overly spicy and masked any potential flavor. The sandwich was about 2" wide and still had way more bread than cheese. The worse part of the visit was the 30 wait time after our order and lack of customer interaction from we the employees. I don't feel they really cared if they had customers. We may have been an anomaly, but this is a one-and-done for us. Therefore, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

The restaurant is clean and spacious. They may have been training a new crew member so ordering was a bit wonky. They charged $3 for a cup of water (is that normal?) so we switched to soda. Even so, service was still friendly and good. As for food, the tots and fries are awesome. I had the Zydeco burger which was perfectly seasoned and balanced with toppings. Not a huge fan of horseradish and the sauce on the burger had just the right amount. My son had the cheesesteak and said it was good. My wife's $7 special mushroom & Swiss burger was good. The burger patty was a little small, but a combo for that price is hard to find. Growing up in beef country means my hamburger expectations are pretty high. I've found few really good burgers in AL. The beef patty on my Zydeco burger is one of the best I've had around here. I can't give 1/2 star ratings here so I'll err to the positive and give it a 5
