To start out I want to note that Cheri was the most communicative and organized photographer we…read morehave worked with. She emailed us every step of the way even reminding us of things to bring for our selves and our son...things like snacks and toys so you know not things that were required for the photos. When we met her she was very friendly and kind. We showed up early and so did she so we were able to start early and even though we only paid for 30 minutes we went over that time and she did not charge us for it. We were able to tell her that my wife did not like her photo being taken and she was able to work with us and make us feel comfortable and get natural shots. Looking at the photos you would not know my wife was nervous. The quality of her work is AMAZING and the reason we chose to drive all the way out from Kingston. Totally worth the trip. Also we purchased the "Short Story" Session which allows for 10 photos. But when she gave us access to the gallery we were allowed to purchase additional photos for $20 each OR the ENTIRE gallery for $125 our gallery was 49 photos so purchasing the extra 39 at the 20 per would have cost us close to eight hundred dollars, so this is a great deal. We ended up paying for the whole gallery, the photos were just too good not to. Also after you purchase your gallery or just the photos that came with your session you will have access to her shop where you can buy printed photos OR cool things like different styles of photo albums and metal/canvas prints.

I loved how his baby daughter tried to cheer up my son who was particularly cranky that evening. We loved his photos and they turned out to be exactly what we wanted. He was super nice throughout the evening, despite how grumpy our baby was. Daniel and his wife were very nice to my parents and my parents were extremely happy about how their photos with their grandchild turned out to be. When I found out I was pregnant it was the perfect opportunity for maternity photos. It's a tricky thing when you're hiring a photographer because you never know if they are going to capture that feeling/ ambiance you are looking for. More importantly you never know if you'll work well together. If you don't feel comfortable with the photographer or if they don't give you enough direction, the pictures won't turn out. Being a sometime photographer myself, I am pretty picky when it comes to photos. Carl was thorough in giving tips for before the shoot like what to wear, making a Pinterest board, etc. He was very relaxed when we met which made it easy to spend the next 1.5 hrs together. What I appreciated the most is that he took the time to make sure the pose and lighting was just right. He also paid attention to details like my hair or if something was on my dress or patting down weeds. Most importantly, he has the eye for creative shots. He nailed the vibe I was going for.
