My husband and I have been getting our haircuts done here pretty much exclusively for over 5 years…read more(both of us have short cuts and come every 4 to 6 weeks) and have always had good cuts and good service (especially when Paige is working, she is awesome!) Would have easily been rated between a 4 or 5 star up until now. Went in for our usual and when we went to pay were told the prices were raised. We were not told so before the service and there was no notice stating new pricing either that we saw. I get it, prices rise, but my side shave which has been 10 since I changed to that style is now almost double the price as it's now being charged the same as a full haircut! We normally pay 40 on what used to be a 26ish bill which left a decent tip for the stylists. Our total today was 36 before tipping! Unfortunately, it's just not worth the price to continue to go here anymore. The increase with no notice before we got ready to pay just really left a bad taste.

Anyway, as I walk inside, there weren't any foul smell. Just loud music - mainly rap and R&B. The business of Catch A Fade Barber Shop is a unique experience for me. Basically, a barber shop with barbers who can choose their own hours and act as their own cashier. When I had arrived, there was a few customers having their hair cut and one available barber. I got that barber. He was good and my experience was good too. Though he was light on his touch, which made me nervous. Light touch made me questioned if he knew what he was doing. I am familiar to firm hand press. However, he did accomplished what I had requested of him and he was patience and skilled. So he knew what he was doing. Just to summarize: Good experiences Adequate barber Hair cut costs $25 - menu is on the right hanging on the wall as you enter Best to call for an appointment. Ask for specific barber's number to set up future appointment if planning on returning. I would recommend to try. Again, an unusual experience for me.
