Tree did her thing!! I asked for boho goddess braids and she delivered. She was very knowledgeable and helpful giving me directions about how to buy the proper hair and how to take care of my hair after it was done. She was very attentive to my questions and patient with me. She was quick and efficient and very conversational. I definitely recommend Tree to anyone looking for hair services.

Tree is so talented and knows exactly how to silk press. My youngest had her hair straightened for the first time and Tree took her time, sectioned in smaller pieces and made my daughter so happy with how it turned out!

Tree did my son's 2 strand twists. He has thick 4b hair and a lot of it. She's very skilled at what she does and quick. He loves them. This is a day after pic.

Box braid, cornrolls. Being new to braids, I left it Tree's hands to decide the best style for my hair due. Heavenly isn't it!!!

She then recommended cornrolls and I agreed, setting the date for the appointment. I finally meet tree at her backyard, Sea Shed Saloon. That was a god-like experience on its own. The well built Shack ("Sea Shed" from that insurance commercial) had a tv, air conditioning, and well decorated with a heavenly theme, with the chair right in the middle. As special as the atmosphere was, that wasn't even the best part. Being used to to going to barbershops most of my life, I'm used to chatting it up with guys with barbershop talk. The conversations Tree and I had surely didn't disappoint. Conversating with her was definitely a blessing in disguise. I got so caught up in the conversation time went by fast. Tree's 30+ years of blessed braiding skills combined with a divine conversation was definitely an experience to remember. I'm definitely coming back when I'm in need for braids again. I highly recommend Styles by Tree if you're not only looking for braids but also a unique Sea Shed atmosphere with a sacred experience to remember.

I got my hair loc'ed by Tree and although my hair did not want to stay loc'ed, she was knowledgable and talked me through the earlier process and they came out Amazing. I would suggest her from starter to the mature part of your loc journey.

My first time going to a braider who wasn't by recommendation and let me tell you, she does not disappoint!!!!! I asked for the boho braids, showed her a photo, and got EXACTLY what I wanted! Professional, timely, and pleasant. Her setup is so cute and cozy too. She got most if not all the streaming platforms ready to go so you can watch tv and movies while she does your hair. Needless to say I'll be going back to her for the next one. read more

I can't even describe how good my weave is...it literally looks like my hair! My own mother couldn't tell! She's literally the best hairstylist I've ever been to. I was hesitant at first, but she went above and beyond. She braided down my own hair in a unique pattern that suited MY head and the way I wanted my hair styled. It's versatile, tight but not painful, and beautifully styled. On top of that, the vibes were just right. I happened to receive some terrible news right before our appointment and she was not judgmental at all...and she had me cracking up and forgetting all my troubles. Please do not book with this stylist!! I scheduled an appointment with her and the day of my appointment I texted her to confirm the time and location and she did not respond. I drove to the address and turns out it is an abandoned office. I texted her again to let her know that I'm at the address on her yelp page and she did not respond. She also did not pick up when I called her multiple times. Ladies beware! Something sketchy and unprofessional about this stylist. If I could give 0 stars I would! UPDATE Thanks for the response and explanation. You are right you've never done my hair before hence why I don't have to give you the benefit of the doubt. You are a stranger to me that sent me to an abandoned office waiting there way beyond our 5pm appointment time. In the day and age we live anyone would be suspicious and frustrated. Also you failed to mention that I texted you at 3:23pm (way before our appt) to confirm the time and address and you never responded to that text. So you had an hour and a half to correct this error. Your phone always goes straight to voicemail so I couldn't reach you. I gave you a 40 minute grace period before I posted about my experience which is based on what actually happened. I don't know how much longer you wanted me to give you especially since this is my first time booking with you. I wish this could have been sorted out but I didn't create this situation. Please update your address on yelp and respond to clients in a timely so this doesn't happen again. I wish you all the best. read more

First off I want to say I that I am very picky when it comes to anyone touching my hair- let alone putting scissors to it. Today was my first appt with Tree (silk press and trim) and right from the beginning I could tell that she knows what she is doing and loves what she does. At first I initially just wanted to get the silk press but after talking with Tree I felt comfortable and confident for her to trim my hair which was a pretty big deal for me. If your looking for someone who knows what they are doing, actually cares about your hair health, really nice, has good vibes, and all around a genuine beautiful soul then Tree is the person you want to go to. Tree box braided my hair and it looks INCREDIBLE! I showed her a picture of what I wanted and Tree was able to recreate the look. She braids quickly and efficiently and is meticulous with her parting, so everything looks very neat. Also chatting with Tree was a delight! History

Established in 2000.

I first discovered my love for hair in 1991. I was a freshman in high school. I would see all these different hair styles everyone was wearing and I fell in love. I had never been to a salon to have my hair done because my mom and every other female in my family knew how to style hair just as great as a professional stylist, So I learned from watching them. All I needed was to see a style I wanted and I would go home a copy it to the best of my ability. In a short time I got really good at it and people would start to ask me if i could do the same style for them. This is how it all started for me. I've had some really great opportunity in this business, I've work with a lot of a- list clients for TV shows and movies. I owned 3 salons and supplies stores. I've meet so many wonderful people in my hair journey I can't count. I'm proud to call myself a licensed cosmetologist. I have no regrets about my choice of becoming a hair stylist. I absolutely love what I do.

She was so fast (our daughter said "did that only take 30 minutes?"), she's so personable with a GREAT place to do hair. We waited the entire time because she made us so comfortable. Not to mention she has a very impressive background as a stylist and salon owner. Her background doesn't compare to the affordable price she charges.
