Upon walking in Amy was the sole person working in the shop and I requested to see if someone was available to flat iron and style my hair. I had already dried and washed it. She told me she would be able to do it in just a few minutes after she got another customer ready to go. At first glance this seemed different than the type of Dominican salon I am used to where multiple people rotate you or assist you for the stylist of your choice. However Amy nicely explained to me there are typically two to three people here and they work by Walk Ins and will rotate the work in and move quickly nOne person was out of town (the salon owner) and the other one had a situation. As Amy stated, it would be just a few minutes and it was. She proceeded to assist me and do the work to get my roots and hair really straight! She did an awesome job I am very pleased and she adjusted the price accordingly as it was already washed and dried. Her customer service with a smile plus great outcomes will take me back to see her again! I came back on another visit and saw Milky the owner to touch up my relaxer. I use a very expensive brand and it pays off because I never have breakage well I did! On one hand I fault myself because I feel like when it was burning I should have insisted she rinse it out instead of spraying oil on it. On a positive note she is very good at smoothing out the hair and very thorough Unfortunately I have suffered some breakage in the front and back Luckily I have enough hair that I can cover it up or I would be throwing more of a fit. I came back on and they are treating it but since it's a different lady she said I had to pay for the wash....but then didn't charge me.... I have mixed emotions I like the people care and styling. I should have spoke up and on the other hand they are the experts right? Nice people and I would say if you are going to come here definitely be cautious if putting in chemical. Due to the the great customer service and two positive visits I give them three stars instead of just the as I would come back for wash and set because it's convenient and they do a great job to be honest but any concerns and I will speak up!!!!

I thought it was gonna be a wait because there were quite a few ladies there. They rotated us and were super quick in the whole process. The woman scrubbed my head extremely hard lol. I was looking for a new place to.get my eyebrow threading. Well I figured most if few reviews…read morewere good and would give them a try. I called before going and was pleased with the pricing. So obviously I thought this would be a good experience. NOT! The first threader I told her I wanted to keep my eybrows natural, clean up and a little shape. Well, it did feel right and her pull was not what I'm.accustomed. I asked to see what it look like. My skin looked like ant bites. Skin just broken and red from the threading. This is not going to work. I should have left right then. The owner had another threader, an older lady to.take over. She tried to appease by putting something on the right eyebrow. She starts on the left eyebrow. Her touch and.pull was definitely lighter. So again, I said just a clean up and keep natural brow. She asked if she could aloe Vera gel on.. I.agreed. I should have not. Recommendation. Use fresh aloe or rose water. That gel is not nautral and has hint of alcohol in it. So here's the kicker......after I leave and I'm n in sunlight is when I can clearly see my left brow was butchered and does not even look like the right brow! So now I have to walk around 3 weeks looking like a fool! I regret I paid cash and even tipped at this point. I wouldn't recommend unless the owner is willing to do the service herself or if you just don't mind taking a chance losing a few $6+ $2 tip & your natural brow shape!

What I like about her cutting technique is that it's always precise and on point. She listens to me and does exactly how I describe or if I decide to bring in a picture she gives me exactly what I want. She is able to handle all types of hair without skipping a beat. I have seen very few people who are as confident and comfortable as she is with a pair of scissors while handling so many different types of hair. I'm not a fan of salons especially here in Atlanta, so having someone cut my hair and give me what I want without spending hours in a salon and paying tons of money is priceless in my book. Not to mention that the cut is only $15! I can get an appointment for the same day or even walk right in and I'm out in no time at all.

Oh my gosh - I can't believe I'm the first to review this place…read more Was referred here by a lovely co-worker who elicited hair envy from me - and I'm thrilled to have found a stylist, Denise Simon, who places the health of your hair above all else. A little history I love finding out the how business owners decide on company names, so I tend to ask (lol). Today Ms. Simon explained to me that in Greek mythology, Soteria (Ancient Greek) was the goddess or spirit (daimon) of safety and salvation, deliverance, and preservation from harm. These aspects are in direct alignment with what she strives to offer her clients - both mentally and physically - hence the name. Location: This is a small boutique type salon. Interior-wise, it's about the size of a large salon "suite" but you don't feel cramped or claustrophobic. It's located on Veteran's Memorial, within walking distance of the intersection of Floyd Rd and Veterans Memorial. It can be easy to miss, so slow down once you've passed Aaron's Rentals on your right. Pros: The owner / stylist, Ms. Simon, is personable, warm, sweet, patient, thorough, knowledgeable and SKILLED! I love the fact that she offers Syntonics along with all the tried and true relaxers (Affirm, Design, Mizani). And she, herself, has curl pattern so lovely it makes me want to try going natural again. She's also very efficient. No double booking and she uses the timer during each process and each time I've visited she's gotten me out earlier than I anticipated. Prices are comparable to what one would pay throughout metro-Atlanta. Sidebar - I love the fact that this is a 'grown woman' salon. So there's no loud music blasting and dual flat screen TV's blasting the latest hoodcentric reality show. She's been at the same location for 17 years - that says a lot in terms of reliability and longevity. Cons: Doesn't take credit cards, square cash or any electronic payments No Wi-Fi so I can't work while I'm there The Pros greatly outweigh the Cons - so for as long as she's willing to tackle this 'fro - I'll be back!
