I walk pass this place often. I barely see people in there. Services are not listed anywhere. So…read moreservices offered and cost is unclear. You have to ask. The stylist did not formally consult or examine my hair to tell me what she thought I needed she just started shampooing me right away after quoting price. She didn't even tell me her name or ask me mine. Or even ask if I had sensitivities and scalp problems. The lady washed my hair about three times and the scalp massage was rough and unbearable to a degree. She had very STRONG hands, uncomfortable if you aren't used to heavy scratch on your scalp. But it felt like it relaxed me I guess. No salon grade products were used on my hair... and the brand was unclear or not the actual brand used in the container. so it's unclear what they are putting in your hair. When she rolled my hair without styling product so frizz was not tamed and rollers weren't neat. So I am unsure how my hair came out bone straight. When wet the stylist comb my hair without fine tight comb from the ROOT instead of the ends and I could feel my hair snapping. Which is a big no with ethnic hair you have to detangle first with wide comb first. So the stylist did not detangle curly/ mixed ethnic hair properly. Which is shocking as this is a Dominican salon that should know how to deal with curly/ wavy hair texture. Not sure if I will go back due to lack of transparency and care around what was used on my hair. Which is a major concern.

My hair was super long and dry o we the quarantine and I knew I couldn't have anyone else style it. Every other stylist I've ever been too always cuts my curly hair wet which chops off most of it and the layers are never on point. I also never end up with the hair color I walk in wanted until Olimpia that is. Extremely happy customer all the time! My hair was two toned , she fixed the color and gave me the highlights I wanted with minimal bleach almost none at all in order to care for my curls. I drove all the way from Charles County just for her ;-)

I took a chance and I'm glad I did. I called about coming in the same day. I spoke with Yvette who told me when I could come in. Yvette evaluated my hair and quoted me a fair price for what I wanted based my hair length. It's nice when you can be quoted a price for everything up front and there are no surprises. My hair came out wonderful, it was definitely one of the best blowouts I've had. It was giving relaxer lol. Yvette even joked about making sure not to get my hair wet. My press LASTED and my hair successfully reverted, so no heat damage! I'll definitely be returning!

I usually don't do much with my hair but I wanted a change and decided to get highlights for the first time. Naturally I was really nervous because I love my hair and I don't want it to look crazy. I appreciated this so much since it was my first time!!! I have gone back to her several times to keep my highlights updated and to get haircuts. I love it!! She does great work!

Being a woman with big hair is always a challenge when it's time to find a hair dresser…read more So I moved back to the DMV and my friend-stylist moved to Myrtle Beach so I had to find a new weave healer. My first search lead me to the Silver Spring area. It was kinda far for me with my schedule. So I went off to find a new hair dresser. After looking on Yelp I found a place and a recommendation for a lady who does great color. Well my hair is above my butt and full of high lights so I need a good colorist. I came in and immediately fell in love! Josefina was nice, polite and not afraid of my hair. And she took me on the spot. I always come so they can examine my hair but her, nope she was like this is what I do. In love. Closer to home and definitely my go to. Also, important to note that this is a multi cultural salon. You have the barbershop in the front and the salon area in the back. Love it! The barber was nice, said hi and how can I help you as soon as I walked in. My last hair stylist who turned into my bestie was a black American woman. So for me anyone should be able to do all kinds of hair but in the MD area it was hard for me. A stylist is a stylist. I found that most salons were not multicultural which for a mixed girl was kinda hard. Super glad this is multicultural. Love it! Owners were so nice too btw.

I planned to go out but I stayed in because I did not like how my hair turned out and my scalp was…read moretoo tender and damaged to style differently. I asked for a Keratin Treatment and a trim as a walk in during the afternoon. At first the owner refused to do the treatment (she was probably tired and I was the last client of the day. Understandable.) I was going to settle for a trim and blow out. I explained the state of my hair and how important retaining length was to me. She said she would do what I asked for... I think I was given a relaxer and silk press without being told. (My scalp was burning after 15 mins of chemicals and I was done in about 1 hour.) keratin takes longer usually. When the chemical treatment started to burn my scalp I asked to be rinsed and was told to wait longer, while she tended to other clients. I now have chemical burns, root thinning and scabbing on my scalp. I don't let my scalp become wounded when I do my own hair because I prefer length and health over a thin texture, and I expect a professional to understand and do better than I can. The flat iron process was also painful. I could hear the iron ripping my hair (she used at least 6-7 passes on very small sections with free hand (this technique burns the stylists hands and unevenly heats the hair, a fine tooth comb is best with a flat iron). My scalp and neck was burned in the process of flat ironing several times. The end result was very thin, shiny, short hair with root and shaft breakage in visible areas. The style was very flat and unflattering on me. Prices were not posted anywhere in the salon, but the people before paid about 70$ for roller sets. And online gave it two ($$) so it should have been affordable. I was then told the price was $350. I have no intention of referring anyone to this place. I should have just asked for a roller set.
