Some prices are outrages. I bring in old stuff that I am no longer using and get a descent buck in return

Great place to find gently used clothes, shoes and handbags! I rarely buy new handbags anymore. Selling to them is easy. They take what they think will sell at the time and return the items they don't. Don't forget to sign up for the rewards program to earn coupons. The employees are always friendly and greet me when I come in! read more

It is a great spot to take gently used clothing and shoes for men and women! They also take designer ourses and jewelry! It is so much easier than spending all the time it takes to sell at a yard sale or online. read more

I went in a was told I could not sell when they were closing in a hour. I had ONE item and had to beg them to look at it because I was from over two hours away. I asked why they couldn't buy my item and what it meant and I got back "that means we can't buy it." Instead of assuming customers know what you mean, explain the process. Very unhappy with the customer service and will not be back. read more

Took in 70 items today and they rejected all. I honestly expected to sell less than half of a very eclectic lot (brand new stuff, older stuff but with tags, things I had worn but in good condition, name brands, target brands, sizes ranging from medium to 3x, pants, skirts, dresses, tanks, tees, sweaters, etcetera) but zero was pretty humorous. The associate stated they don't take anything over 2 years old. (So they looked up everything in a short time frame? lol...no...) While some items were older than that (in good condition and in styles their supposed demographic of late twenties to fifties aged women wear) many were purchased new in the last year. She also stated they aren't taking long sleeves due to preparing for spring. Fine, perhaps don't say you accept all seasons on your website? I made a list of what I took so I could ensure I got everything back and I will be interested to see if they even unfolded everything. So long as I have everything, no harm no foul (just a waste of time) but after initially looking at their inventory online and later glancing while in store I am surprised to say the least. Some of the items in store looked... well, not suitable for resale. So, we tried it, now I know, would NOT recommend unless you have time to waste, I will just continue to sell online instead. read more

Took 5 totes of items. 2 boxes contained nothing but new with tag items! They took zERo! Literally nothing!! Avoid at all costs!!

Great place to shop...all the brands you are looking for Michael Kors, Coach, Dooney & Bourke, Chicos, Prestige, Ray-Ban, Brighton, Vera Bradley and so many more. Nice dressing rooms and chairs for the gentlemen to sit in while you browse!!! read more

Not impressed with this store at all!! Most the items are way overpriced and the clothing isnt in very good condition. Noticed stains on items and definitely wouldn't pay as much as they want for stained stuff. read more

I have visited Style Encore twice as a seller. I prefer "cash on the spot" to consignment. For me as a seller cash on the spot is the only positive. I do not believe their "offers for your items" are fair to the seller. I am sure they make BIG profit on your items. But if you don't want it anymore anyway and don't want to fool with the effort and work that is a "garage sale" or waiting around for a "consignment store " to sell your items for you this is your next best option. Just show up with your items in a plastic tub clean and "gently" used. Drop them off and go shopping or have lunch. They will text you when they are ready to make you an offer ( usually about 45 minutes) you can accept or reject. But just know if you reject you have to drag that stuff you don't want back home or to the Salvation Army where you get nothing. Both times I sold to them they purchased almost all of my items, I always ask for an itemized receipt, which they are happy to provide. You are not going to get rich selling used apparel, shoes, bags, accessories to a "for profit" store. The business model is to buy cheap/sell high. It is what it is. read more

This store just opened on 9/18/2014. I went in a day after they opened and was underwhelmed. The merchandise was mostly unknown brands, with the exception of a fake Tiffany ring, some coach purses, and Merona from Target. I also saw some Willi Smith items from TJMaxx. I was inspired to purge my closet because of the prices they tagged their clothing (i.e. $25 for a used white Merona jacket. Hello... it's FALL, $12.00 for used no-tag scarves, etc.)This is what I brought in to them: 1 New with tags, on sale for $175.00, Talbots navy wool double-breasted jacket. 2. One season old Bloomingdales coat. No signs of wear. 3. Chicos jacket that I wore once and was less than 2 years old. 4. New with tags Talbots black silk pants. 5. Black peasant style dress from Express that I wore once. 6. New with tags INC. skirt. 7. New Ralph Lauren silk skirt. 8. New with tags Ralph Lauren silk blouse. 9. New with tags Ann Taylor Loft skirt They did not buy any of the items. They said they were "Out of Style". And rather than give the items back to me as I gave the items to them (Handed over, on hangers, clean and wrinkle free). They wadded them up and threw them in a bin. I had to go through and put the items back on the hangers. OK so they didn't buy my new items. But why did they buy the low end, worn items they had in the store? Seriously. I wasted my time taking my things to this store. And I won't go back as a shopper either because I can buy Merona at the Target store first-hand cheaper than they were selling it used. Bottom line: If you have nice clothes, forget about taking them to Style Encore. And, if you want NICE clothes, don't expect to find them at Style Encore. read more

Beware of their return policy that is posted on one little 3x5 card on just one register pole. They will accept returns on Apparel for only 7 days. For Everything else in the store they will Not give you your $ back. They will only give an exchange or credit. If u choose a credit, it does not go on a gift card. All you get is a paper receipt (in hopes that you'll accidentally throw it away in a few weeks not realizing that it has a credit on receipt). You have a year to use the credit or it will expire. Also beware of bugs and spiders. One time I pulled a shirt off the rack and a brown recluse spider dropped off of it (I'm glad that it jumped off b4 I tryed the shirt on!). These clothes they take in may have been stored in an attic or garage and have risk of spiders hiding in the storage boxes. read more

I like this place because of the prices!! It is definitely a hit or miss! They usually have great clothes for sale! If you sell something here don't expect to get a lot for it. read more

I shop Style Encore all the time. Name brand clothing, bags and shoes for a fraction of the price. Plus take in your name brands you no longer use or wear and get cash on the spot! read more

I took a large laundry basket and two plastic bins with good, clean, well cared for brand name clothing, shoes, and some accessories in to sell them. Their policy is they enter the items in the computer and based on several factors an item is either purchased or sent home with you. They asked me to leave the items and said they'd text me after they had processed them. About 30 minutes later I received a text that they had finished. I was awfully surprised that they could go through all those items in such a short time. (They told me there was only one computer available at the time.) When I went in, they had selected about four or five items to purchase and had rejected the rest. There was no way that they could have gone through all the items in such a short time, so I feel like they didn't really look at all of them, let alone enter the information in a computer. So, I'd say, don't bother. Take your good used clothing somewhere else. read more
