    Handmade Stone Charcuterie Boards!

This is one of my favorite stores in northern Michigan! There is so much to choose from and we always find the coolest treasures for ourselves, plus gifts for family & friends. Pottery, jewelry, glassworks, outdoor art, and everything in between-- if they don't have it, you don't need it! The store is plentiful in both parking and space to shop around inside. Employees are friendly and accommodating, always offering to set you up with a "pile" while you shop around and collect your goodies! Such an inspiring atmosphere, too! There are artists working upstairs in the ceramics studio, throwing pottery on wheels and building beautiful pieces that will eventually be for purchase. I highly recommend stopping into Sturgeon River Pottery if you're in the Petoskey area! It will pique your curiosity, creativity, and inspiration! You're guaranteed to leave with one-of-a-kind souvenirs and artisan gifts that will be cherished forever :)

    just a peak!

This place is so cute!!! We popped in just for a look around. Once spring comes, I am going back to purchase like 15 different things at this place. They have beautiful pottery and so much more. Can't wait to go back!!

Sturgeon River Pottery is a great place for finding fun stuff for your own place, or for beautiful, artistic gifts. There is definitely an "outdoorsy" feel to all the items, including bird feeders, bird houses, garden sculptures, weathervanes and Adirondack chairs. The locally-made pottery for which the place is named is that rustic style with dripping glaze. They have kitchenware and bathroom sets. The website is fairly extensive but it's best to see it at the store for every last variation possible. I needed a large bird feeder, and they have the Droll Yankees line there, so even though it cost big bucks, I can expect that it will last virtually forever and Sturgeon River is willing to provide replacement parts if needed. Be sure to check out the Petoskey stone jewelry! They also carry the locally-made Lavender Hill laundry bar. I would not want to do laundry without this handy product, which gets all kinds of stains out of clothing. The Lavender Hill skin care soap bar is another treat. It rinses easily even in hard water. Love it! The people there are really friendly and it's a great place to hang out for a while. Open all winter, in a tourist area where some other businesses might be closed until summer rolls 'round again.

Absolutely awesome!! This pair of feet planters caught my heart & the green set caught a ride home to OH!

Neat place! Well worth the stop! Picked up a couple garden decorations for a reasonable price.

Nice little photographic art gallery. The prices seemed a little higher than I'd like, although the…read morequality of the work is impressive. They have a great array of matted photographic prints in all sizes, blown up versions for several hundred dollars on the walls and cute two-sided ornaments at $25. Most of the prints were of Northern Michigan images, predominantly Petoskey and Mackinac, in all four seasons. The photos were awesome. The guy credited with most of the photos, Joe Clark, is an amazing photographer. His work was more unique than most of the photographs I've seen of Northern and Upper Michigan. Most of the larger pieces are pricey, but beautiful. The owner told me that any image we wanted on a customized ornament can be done online through the gallery for $25. You only need to upload the images you want to the website and order it. Pretty easy, no? I think I'll do it for Christmas this year as a nifty memento for my wife and I.

The prices are pretty fair. The prices range from $28 to hundreds of dollars. The photos seem to be mostly Northern Michigan. From Northern Light to a Crane with her baby. From pictures of Pictured Rocks to dew on a flower. I wish I could have purchased a whole bunch of them. The service was laid back and very friendly. Overall 5 stars.
