The last gal I had been seeing was doing ok on my cuts. My last time in, 2 weeks ago, I never actually got my hair cut. My appointment was at 2pm. Showed up at 5 minutes to. Was checked in and told "she's just running a couple minutes behind." OK, fine. I sit in the waiting area and pull out my phone to scroll social media while I wait. Next thing I know, it's 2:30 and my stylist still hasn't come to get me nor has anyone from the front checked in or updated me on how much longer it will be. I go up to the counter and let the receptionist know I need to cancel my appointment (had to be somewhere else by 3:15 and was irritated I just wasted half an hour). She seemed surprised I wanted to leave. I noted my appointment was supposed to start half hour ago. Crickets. No apology. No effort at an excuse. "Ok, well, do you want to reschedule?" I completely understand things happen and can get backed up but half hour of sitting with no acknowledgement and no apology?! Had someone simply checked in or even said "we're so sorry for the wait. Would you like a water or something?" This review would be different and I'd still be using this salon.

Booked with Leah for a cut and color after almost a year with no haircut due to COVID, and holy cow. She worked with me to find a cut and color that would work with my hair (and what it's been through with hard water, stress and previous bleaching). I left feeling like an entirely new person and almost cried in the chair because I was so excited for my hair to look pretty again. Thank you to Leah (and everyone at Lolamax), I would recommend this salon to anyone!

I asked for a certain length and her response was it would look like a "prison haircut" if I went that short. Mind you I've had short pixies and all sorts of hair lengths in the past so that comment was completely unnecessary. I also know my own hair. She left the back too long and unfinished as well and when I kept asking for layers and for her to taper the back she seemed annoyed and begrudgingly did what I asked. She definitely has her own opinions and I feel she does not listen to what the client wants. While I appreciate recommendations, having to ask multiple times for what you want is frustrating, especially when you're paying her price. Someone else on here said she is lazy & I agree, she seems to do the bare minimum. She said she didn't want to give me a bowl haircut and when I got home that's exactly what I had. I just got back from a different salon where I had them give me what I asked for, so upsetting to have to pay for two different haircuts. After reading other reviews on Becca on Yelp, I would avoid her at all costs. No need to respond to this review Todd or anyone else from the salon, I won't be back.

This review is solely regarding an Individual Beautician who leases suite number 5 and her name is Molly Hemstrom. I'd purchased a Groupon,(on their site), for a haircut, deep conditioning & blow out from Molly Hemstrom at the beginning of April. I called & left a voicemail message for Molly introducing myself & asking if I could make an appointment with her for the Groupon I'd purchased. Molly Hemstrom texted me back to introduce herself & ask what would be a good date & time for our appointment. I texted Molly back asking if April 11th @ 3:30pm would work for her schedule. And Molly texted me back stating "Yes, April 11th at 3:30pm would work great!" This message I took as a confirmation of the appointment I'd requested, so I texted Molly back acknowledging this appointment and telling her I look forward to meeting with her. In the appointment date & time 4/11/25 @ 3:15pm I arrived for my 3:30pm appointment with Molly. I noticed that Molly had a Client in her chair & that it was apparent that Molly had just begun a haircut for this Client. Molly saw me standing in her doorway & she said to me, " Can I help you with something?" I stepped into the room & I said, "Yes, my name is Cynthia Delapena & I have a 3:30pm appointment with you." Molly took her phone & scrolling through it, couldn't seem to locate what she was searching for, because she simply put her phone back on the counter. In the meantime I got out my phone & I showed Molly that we in fact did have a confirmed appointment for that date @ 3:30pm in 15 minutes. Molly immediately became very irate, she stepped closer to me & she pointed her extremely long pointy finger nail to my face as she said loudly, "I don't take Sass from any of my Clients!" I was flabbergasted to say the least! I immediately stepped backwards & I said, "That is very inappropriate behavior & it is not okay for you to disrespect me in this manner, I do not care to have you work on my hair at this point, & I want a full refund for this appointment!" I believe that Molly realized that she's conducted herself very poorly because she didn't say anything further. It was her Client that looked at me & said that I could call Groupon for a full refund for that appointment. Mollys back was to the Client & it this time the Client gave me a smile & a nod as if to acknowledge what awful situation had just occurred. She was in an awkward position as she was in Mollys service chair in the beginning of a haircut. I left Mollys room immediately after this, I was upset & as I walked down a few doors or so, I noticed a Beautician who was alone in her office, so I knocked on her door. She could see I was upset & she asked if I was okay. I replied no I've had an extremely disturbing situation with a Beautician down a few doors from you & id like to talk to someone about this because of the seriousness of what just occurred. She asked me to come in & have a seat; as I explained what had happened. She said that the Beautician that I had this interaction with has had other negative experiences but because all of the Beauticians leave their doors open, she spoke quietly & didn't elaborate on this any further. She did give me the name of the Business Manager and her phone number. This very disturbing situation ruined my day. I'd made various arrangements to get to the appointment, I was excited to get my hair done for a special occasion & I had important plans afterwards, but because my hair was not presentable I had to cancel my plans for the day as well. I did report Molly to the Business Manager and she was very apologetic for Mollys very inappropriate behaviors. Furthermore the Businesses Manager said She'd talk to Molly & make sure that Molly never conducts herself like this again to other unknowing clients. Hours after the Business Manager went to talk to Molly about this terrible incident, Molly texted me again. This time Molly spoke very aggressively, sarcastically & very unbusinesslike in this text to me. I immediately contacted the Business Manager again & I read Mollys text message to her. She was shocked & she said she call me back soon because she had to address this situation immediately. The Business Manager texted me back stating that Molly was not receptive at all to her interaction & inquiry about how Molly had spoken to me in both situations. She promised me that Molly would not ever contact me again & that she was very sorry for Mollys extremely inappropriate conducts towards me, and that she would be speaking to the Executive Administration Department about this situation. I thanked the Business Manager for her kindness, professionalism & support, and I thanked her for everything.     This is my second time seeing Molly. She is a color master. I told her what I wanted, expecting the…read moresame old story that my hair will always have some brassiness. Molly is the first one to tell me what I've always known. And then she gave me highlights to prove it. No more brassy color! The same blonde I had as a kid. She is located in a convenient Richfield location. She also charges a reasonable price. But more importantly she's decent, kind and a good conversationalist. I'll be back!
