If you want to do business with a store and salesperson that does not follow through on its…read morepromises then The Brick in Canmore is the store for you! Very unprofessional customer service, they do not have the courtesy to contact the customer to advise that the delivery date provided will not be met. So a person waits at home for a delivery that does not happen. And when it finally does occur at a later reschedule date the delivery is not completed and promised. I would not recommend you deal with The Brick in Canmore if you want professional service. I would recommend Home Hardware in Canmore for appliances, they provide professional and helpful service and follow through on their commitments.

NO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, BUY THE WARRANTY!!!…read more I purchased a washer/dryer set from The Brick 2 years ago; at the time I was told they didn't do installations (this was a lie, management got involved and the installation was finally resolved, I wrote a review back then, as well, over how awful the sale process was). The same sales guy sold me the King and State Warranty; it was pitched as a no worries, replacement if they can't fix it, get it for the security of this big purchase, type of warranty. So we bought the warranty. The Brick website calls it their 'Famous Warranty' ... Infamous is perhaps a better word. Now, 2 years later, our dryer stopped working - I submitted a claim to King and State...and here is where the fun begins again. King and State doesn't return any phone calls, doesn't return any emails The service technician broke one of my floor tiles, looked at my dryer for 2 seconds and said it would 3 to 4 weeks to fix (I never heard from him again) After about a month of waiting and hearing nothing, I finally got a King and State representative on the phone and explained what had happened, they asked me to send a picture of my broken tile and said they would get this resolved quickly 2 weeks later - after not hearing anything - I followed up with more calls I was told they couldn't repair the unit and was offered a 'Pro-rated' replacement value of my dryer - Amount Offered $804, amount of comparable dryer today $1299 I refused this offer and was told I would receive a call within 24 hours to discuss more (that was 2 weeks ago) I have called the store and King and State and simply been told, you are completely out of luck. The Brick store say I have to deal with King and State, while King and State says the store won't authorize any other resolution. Now after multiple phone calls, emails, and an immense amount of frustration - I have a broken floor tile, and a broken dryer...and very few options. King and State is listed as a company in the Caribbean and The Brick doesn't even have a phone number on their website. I'm completely at a loss - NEVER SHOP AT THE BRICK, NEVER BUY A KING AND STATE WARRANTY!!!!!

Alberta's Own Marketplace - 2nd part of store (4 steps) but totally worth the achy knees to see more of the art (wooden wall pieces to left newest featured artist)

Exciting to be in the shop once again. I really took the time to walk around & enjoy all it has to…read moreoffer. Lots of neat gift & art ideas. Items range from ideas for baby gifts to adult gifts. I also love that they feature so many Alberta products & artists. Found a few items this trip - part of a wedding gift, something for a birthday present & some beautiful local images on postcards (those are for me to enjoy some new wall art). Honestly, if you're looking for a gift, AB souvenir or just a lovely or special gift for yourself, this is the store to pop in. Extra bonus the staff & owner are well versed in the information of the products, sizing (I learned a lot about the blankets!) &/or background of the art. The owner especially knows where the artists are from and neat background stories. Personally, I encourage that kind of chatting energy, as I love to know the stories of how things have come to this point. Accessibility for in the store is easy for the first part of the store. The second part has 4 steps down. Staff are really great & super friendly. So just ask if you need something (or another colour options) in case you want something but physically can't make it that far. Also, no fault to any of the 8 st stores & restaurants, but the town decided that street is a safe walking/biking area (apparently some spring to fall). At first I thought maybe there was a festival they were setting up for. Nope. Just every day in Canmore. I can understand for many of the shop owners how that has impacted the flow of foot traffic. Especially as the accessible parking isn't plentiful or nearby. Not even several avenues/streets over. Sadly parking lots closer by didn't provide much more for handicap, I wouldn't have an issue on manning streets safer for enjoyment & shopping, but if I'm paying for parking as a handicap user & have to still walk a fair distance, you can bet my time is more limited in being in Canmore. For my situation, I strategized how far to walk, how much energy & time I have (including to return to vehicle as I move slower) & I still felt like I really limited myself for any extra shopping & skipped the lines for eating focusing on the few must stop places I had in mind. You would think the town would add extra benches & picnic tables that aren't restaurant run plus ramps (besides the natural sidewalk corner locations) to the street if this was truly to be an accessible & friendly walking area. This sadly was not is the case. So long story short, if you're struggling with energy, start at the top of the street by Alberta's Own & maybe if you've got someone that can park further down the opposite side streets/avenues, you can walk one direction to your vehicle without worrying too much about your energy. Lastly, a cuteness heads up... there are two wonderful little dogs as store mascots that will seek all attention & love! They're not fully out all the time but will make their presence known once they are.

This is by far the best gift shop we've stopped by in Canmore / Banff. From the moment we walked in…read morethe service was over the top, kind, and not pushy. This is not a place for your regular run of the mill t-shirts or trinkets. This is a place with truly creative pieces, art, and unique ways to remember a trip to this area if you're visiting. It's super well kept, nothing was cheap but also not overpriced and the owner Laura was someone who is just so in tune with people. My wife and I are so glad we stopped and left with a bunch of things. Added bonus- her two tiny Australian Shepherds that follow her around

Think of this place as a fancy-fancy furniture store. Honestly, I was literally blown away by how…read morenice the furniture and accessories are in this place. Everything was so nice, in fact, I felt like I didn't belong. After spending a couple minutes in the store Iknew everything was way too expensive for me, but I couldn't stop looking around. It was all such intriguing merchandise that I spent way more time than necessary looking around at everything. They've got such a unique selection of products in the store like old grandfather clocks, authentic bird cages, and even old school snow shoes. They've got some paintings for sale, most depicting an older, western scene. You can buy couches, beds, dressers, tables, chairs, blankets, pretty much anything you can think of. You have to special order everything, but you get to pick your stain colour and fabrics as well. I think it's cool that you can kind of custom make your own furniture. The lady working there (perhaps the owner?) was really friendly and eager to offer a hand or answer any questions. She directed me to their website, saying that all their products were online. The funny thing is, you can't order anything from the website, only view what they have. It's a high-priced store, but the goods are all so beautiful! I enjoyed just browsing around at all the neat and interesting things they had in this store. It was really neat!

We bought a couch here over a year ago. It was around $10,000 and is comparable to IKEA quality. We…read moredealt with the store in Richmond to fix the issue with the material and it was a complete nightmare. They were claiming that all couches need constant fluffing and so on. It had nothing to do with the "fluffing of the couch" as I do this regularly. Anyways, I ended up having to go into this store and threatening to go to the better business bureau after the owner argued with me in front of my 3 small children about the defective and junk product they sold me as they were refusing to just send me a new cover and fix it. The customer service at this store is the worst I have ever experienced. In the end after dealing with the back and forth for months, I did get a new cover but it is still not fitting properly and I have never heard back from the store. They sent a third party to install the new fabric and then never bothered to follow up. Horrible customer service and junk product.
