Pass on this place; the pictures and reviews absolutely drew me in. The menu is tapas only, which I…read morejust adore,...normally. I was sorely disappointed in the food and the slow service, but mostly the food. If service is slow and the food is amazing...its worthwhile. The waitress (there is only one) was very nice but simply overworked. Too many tables for her to keep on top of everyones needs. The food...was definitely the problem. I have been to over 17 countries, and enjoyed the food in all of them, but I was not enjoying this. The first issue is the menu is not in English, nor do they have one in English available. So I was using my phone translator and my knowledge of French (which the menu is translated into) to view the selections. I ordered things that looked like yummy pasta elections...they were overly fatty meatballs and a foie gras stuffed chicken breast with bitter onions (leaks?) or something stuffed with it. Both were unappetizing. The chicken was so rubbery I thought it was cheese! That's why I kept eating it. I eventually figured out it was rolled/pressed chicken (in the shape of a toilet paper tube roughly) with the stuffing...and a sub par yellow sauce that I couldn't quite make out. The meatballs were just terrible. I had one bite and stopped eating. The nice waitress spoke enough English, but never asked if I liked my meal... perhaps because she could tell I did not. However, I must say, the one thing that was really good about this place...I emphasize one thing, was the desert. It was fantastic. It was the only item I finished. The entire meal with one small beer came to 32.50 Euros... not a cheap adventure.

I go here maybe once every three months, and each time try something new- am never disappointed by the quality of the ingredients, which seem to all be fresh and seasonal (for the most part). Their pasta is also pretty good, but honestly, for me, their pizzas are the standout. The pie is also a huge size for Belgium, so I have always ended up with leftovers and enjoyed pizza the next day after. My brother is also a huge fan of their dame blanch dessert, and while I am normally a pannacotta sort of gal, they use an amazingly luscious brand of chocolate for the dame blanch, which even my mum, who doesn't eat chocolate, actually ate some. One last thing- this place gets super busy, esp weekends, so make sure you book a table, or go early (around 6:30ish) otherwise you may end up having to do a takeaway rather than eating in.

I went there few times in the last couple of months and although the first time was fine, every next one was a bigger disappointment. Their pastas lack taste for me. But the real disasters happened when I ordered the take-away pizza. First time it was soft and drowning in juice, as a result the dough was all soft and I threw most of it away. Second time the dough was super salty! Not possible to eat! After that I gave up and don't buy my dinner there.

After another half an hour wait another waiter told us that they would not be able to complete our order because they were too busy with the other tables.
