I come here every month to enjoy the luxurious recliners they have! It has heating system which is very helpful in Michigan weather. Today's experience at celebration cinema was not great. Our movie was set to start at 11 so we arrived early to park and get concessions. We didn't realize the movie theatre doors would be locked until about 10:50am so we waited outside for another 10 minutes beforehand until we were able to get in. Once we were inside, the employee was visibly frustrated as the server was down. She informed us that she could not ring any concessions up so she offered a small boat of popcorn instead; she was certain the servers would eventually be back up... we decided to try ordering via the QR code in the theatre since she said online orders would work... well that didn't work because it never made it to them since the server was down... so we walked to the concessions area and showed our receipt to retrieve our water and popcorn bucket. As we made it back to our seats we noticed others appearing in the theatre with their popcorn boats for each person along with drinks... I guess we should have just asked for free drinks instead of paying for concessions today. What an overall bummer. On top of that, my daughters chair never heated up no matter how many times she tried pressing the button. I think we will probably steer clear of first of the day movies at studio park from here on out. I did put a complaint into the guest relations and got an AI style response offering a $10 voucher to use within 90 days. Cool but that doesn't really help with the cost of today's messy situation. They mention they can't refund fees (which - ordering online was literally the only way to pay for anything and they charge you for "convenience") ... how ironic. So $10 was their token of apology? Sorry, but I think this just further adds to the reason I don't venture to the theatre much anymore. Our grand total for 2 tickets, 2 bottles of water and a popcorn bucket was $49.62. That price would have been fine if everything was properly working but when systems are down and chairs are broken - what a bummer. read more

I've never had a worse experience than at this location. We paid $30 to park here for an event, my 4 year old was crying he had to use the restroom so badly, the woman at the front desk refused to let him use their restroom even though nobody was around. I pleaded with her and she continued to not allow us in the restroom. I've emailed management, she needs to be trained on how to focus on the customers. I spent $10 on a movie ticket so he could use the restroom, then proceeded to pay $30 for my parking. Never go here - these employees have not beeen trained on how to care for the customers or put them first. I'm actually shocked, we've never had an experience at a celebration studio like this before. never will we ever go to this location again. read more

I have been there numerous times but will not go back until this one employee is gone she made it very difficult by saying that I could not bring a bag in unless it was searched because of security reasons but if I wanted to bring my bag it had to be checked wow when we got to security they said we don't check anybody bag so she lied and had a lot of hate in her heart sad numerous people came in with bags and they were not checked wow I hope change will be made great place to see movies but if no change I will go somewhere else where there is no hate read more

I love going to movies so I was excited to check out the newest Celebration Cinema location downtown. Studio Park is a brand new theatre with the majority of the seats being heated recliners. I kept thinking I would fall asleep being so comfortable, but the heat was soothing without lulling me to sleep during our movie preview experience. The recliner chairs also have a swiveling tray table and cupholder, which was nice for our popcorn and would be great if you get a larger meal item so you don't have to eat your meal on your lap. The employees working were super friendly and helpful even though they've only been open for a few weeks. They only have a few stations for buying tickets and concessions, so be sure to give yourself enough time with peak movie times. The theatre we were in was large with plenty of room to navigate aisles, as well as accessible seating options. The screen was huge, and one manager told us it's the biggest regular screen you can have that's not an IMAX screen. Pretty cool and it sold us on getting our Star Wars tickets there! Parking in the attached garage is validated up to 3 hours with a movie ticket, which was more than enough for my boyfriend and I to have dinner and watch a 90 minute show. Of course if you have a 2 hour dinner and go to a 3 hour movie, you'll have to pay for parking. At least the option for the attached garage is there as opposed to having to search for street parking. I think 3 hours is generous to provide for parking downtown, especially in such a busy area. The machine just inside the entrance from the parking garage does not validate your parking; that is just to pay. You'll need to get your parking stub validated at one of the registers. I love having this option downtown with easy parking available, plus the attached restaurant, One Twenty Three, was very good as well. Comfy seats but limited service during the week Was a little disappointed to know that the in seat kitchen service is not available at all shows but the concession and bar is open for a counter service. The seats definitely made up for that! Very comfortable reclining seats that have multiple adjustment controls and great heaters in them! So comfy I had to struggle to keep awake to watch my movie lol. The seats also have a very nice movable tray table with built in cupholder. Mixed drinks had a premium price tag but were strong had a decent selection. Loved the Studio light sign nod to Studio 28 as well! Very nice and clean theater. read more

I had high expectations for what I believe is still newest Celebration Cinema and left rather disappointed. It's an okay theatre, you'll enjoy a movie here just fine, but it doesn't do anything to truly shine -- and it has the same issues many of the renovated Celebrations have. These include: -- Recliner seats, which are comfy, but interfere with sound quality. I could stretch my arms above my head and not even come close to reaching the railing. This means there's an entire wall blocking sound 5 feet above my head. At best you'll hear audio coming from above you, but never true surround. -- Theaters are too close together, meaning that if your movie is in a quiet scene and the blockbuster next door is in its final act, you'll undoubtedly hear parts of their score and effects. This is inexcusable in a theatre this new. -- A half-hearted focus on food and bar options. You're either the Alamo Drafthouse or you're not. These weird tray cup holders and basic ballpark options are poor. If the movie is good, you'll still have a great time here. But there's very little to enhance the moviegoing experience, and quite a bit to detract from it. But hey, free parking. read more

Such a fun experience with the sunset cinema! I love that you can bring your own chairs and a small cooler with anything you want. We opted to order snacks when we got the tickets and it was nice for them to bring it right out during the movie. Celebration Cinema Studio Park opened this week so I came to check it out and watch a movie. First impressions, the decor looks nice, more sleek and modern then their other movie theaters. I bought my ticket online and was able to get my QR code scanned in just a few seconds. They have the usual food available and the line was long. Snack bar is smaller with only a couple stations. There is also a full bar available. I had a gin and tonic, a double, for $7. Drink was made well and price was fine. The theater itself was almost all recliner seats. They have little moving tables with cup holders and they are even heated! I can see still going to the north location for IMAX, but frankly after watching a movie here I am not sure why I should go anywhere else for most movies. I took the Dash bus downtown, but you also get 3 hours free parking with a movie ticket purchase. Come check it out! read more

I'm not really sure which Studio Park Yelp business to review in because there are 2, so I'm going to follow with my Yelp ambassador's lead and do this one (let me know if this needs to be moved!). My husband and I came here for opening weekend of Bad Boys 3 and it was a luxurious experience! It was a quick (but pretty chilly) walk from Bistro Bella Vita to the theatre. We actually parked in the theatre ramp before dinner and they validate up to 4 hours ($5/hour after that). Another thing about the ramp: It's very well lit with fancy red and green lights that prompt you to open parking spots, but what it lacked was a clear pedestrian crossing into the theatre. I was expecting more lights and a gated walkway or something to direct traffic into the theatre. What's nice about this theatre is that it doesn't seem like a theatre. It's kind of like a college basketball concourse or small entertainment arena with the set up. When we walked in, there was an open atrium that you could see up onto the second floor balcony. The ticket counter also served as the food counter. Next to that was the bar. This is where they could also do better with bigger and clearer signs. I stood by the bar for what seemed like 10 minutes and watched while other people walked up and kept getting drinks. It took a while to realize there was a bar line that I hadn't seen. But also, come on - I was standing there with my ID and credit card in my hand leaning up on the bar! I'll give it to them this time because I am vertically challenged. The theatre seating was amazing! I loved the heating and cooling options. The best part was the recline. It was so much better than their other area theatres and even better than AMC on Alpine. I felt like I was Mowgli sitting on Baloo's belly. It was the perfect rounded back support for me with plenty of chair to support my legs fully extended. We are lucky to have Studio Park by Celebration Cinema right in the heart of downtown GR. Overall, I was extremely impressed with the quality of the theatre. It's free to park in the adjacent parking garage and your ticket will be validated if you see a movie here or dine at studio 23. The theatre seats are incredible! Almost all of the seats fully recline and have personal trays and cup holders. I was thrilled with the comfort of the soft leather-esque material. The seats are spacious and even if you're near the edge of the row; the view of the screen is unencumbered. They offer a variety of concessions, including a full bar. They have everything from popcorn, to Mac & cheese entrees, candies, French toast bites and a plethora of sandwiches. I tried a cauliflower flatbread with margarita pizza toppings. This was a bit of a risky choice for movie theatre food and I have to admit it was underwhelming. Next time I plan to eat at the adjacent restaurant, studio 23, or maybe just stick to movie theatre snacks & popcorn. Even though I thoroughly disliked the movie I saw today (no stars for "Uncut Gems" here) I thought the theatre experience was great! I have no doubts that Studio Park will continue to be a successful enterprise for downtown GR. read more

We enjoyed the movie at Studio Park, however when we went to leave our parking validation didn't work and we were charged $12 to park. We used the machine inside to validate our ticket, and left immediately after the movie was over. We were there for exactly 2.5 hours, so we did not exceed the 3 hour time limit. We were really excited about the free parking, especially being downtown, but we left disappointed. read more

The theatre is just fine in terms of presentation, but they only validate parking for a maximum of 3 hours. If you try and get to the theatre early, or see a longer than average movie, you're going to get hit with a parking fee. And you certainly won't be able to plan a whole day downtown around it without a meter in the back of your mind. It's a shame, since the marketing for this place led me to believe they wanted it to be a new social hub. But there's many other theatres in the city to visit without having to worry about parking. read more
