Recently divorced, needing a day to myself, I scheduled a wax service, massage and hydropod. She was very thorough and helped me to make decisions about what specifics to consider. She was never pushy and was understanding about what I needed. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that I got the best nights sleep that night in 3 years from when my ex and I first separated.     Had a very bizarre and negative experience in January 2019. Tried to book online for March and was…read moreunable to find availability. My friend suggested that perhaps they did not book that far in advance. I called and left a message. I received a call back a few days later. I explained that I was turning 50 and wanted to book for myself and 3 girlfriends. I was told, as luck would have it, that they were planning to go away, but were leaving on the Sunday so they could accommodate all four of us on the Saturday and that if we all did services for greater than an hour they would arrange snacks and mimosas. I was told that texting was the best way to communicate with her, easier than playing phone tag while she is with clients so the rest of our communication is via text message. When I visited their facebook site it showed a code, valid until mid January, for 20% off. I told my friends about the code. My friends booked for hot stone massages 90 minutes. I booked one of their packages, Breakfast in Bed with hydropod. Their website showed it came with 60 minute Swedish, Basic Facial, Bodywrap, BodyScrub and Hydropod, 240 minutes, $240. I received a text frim them: "Hi so sorry for the delay in getting back to you... I'm not sure why the system was showing the hydro pod as a 240 min service but it was a glitch in our system. On our end of our booking software went to an older version (it was showing each service as individual times.) in fact we do the body scrub and the mask in the pod. The system had you in 3 different treatment rooms and waiting in between so we corrected that. The breakfast in bed with the hydro pod (this is one of my favorite treatments) does not include the massage would you like to add that? " I texted her my receipt from purchase and the screen shot from her website which shows that 60 minute Swedish is included and asked "You are saying I need to pay more for massage even though I bought online and it says these are included?" She texted back: "We corrected the wording because the pod has a massage mode that is included in it. It's not a hour full body. ? I really don't know why it says a Swedish massage. I will check that". I replied "That's why I bought it, a bit of everything on my birthday. " She replied" I'm sorry I'm not sure how the glitch got there but even the price is off on the gift card". I replied " There is an online promo for 20% off. That's the difference in price. " To which she responded " I think our system must have had a large glitch. The 20% off was for a one day only back in December as a promo for the 12 deals of Christmas. We will of course honor that but unfortunately this treatment does not come with the massage. " I was disappointed, but did not want to ruin the birthday so I planned to book and pay for the massage, but wanted to review the different types of massages they offered before deciding. Before I had replied in any way within hours I received another text, " Hello the original reason you where unable to book online is because we will be on vacation. Due to this being a special day we wanted try to rearrange our travel plans to accommodate you and your friends. Unfortunately our travel plans have gone back to the original itinerary. So we are unable to accommodate. We would be happy to give you other names of spas that could accommodate your size party. I know you originally wanted a Sunday spot and these spas are opened on Sunday." My reply: "This is very disappointing and seems very unfair. I will need you to refund me and any of my friends who bought the gift cards based on you telling us that you would accommodate us on March 2nd. You did not change your plans for us. The error was on your website including the Swedish 60 minute, was in your facebook/ website with the giftcard promo which says valid until jan 17th. This is very unprofessional. At 10:33 this morning you were still scheduling us and 2:27 you are cancelling us. Please refund my gift card." She did refund me, but what a mess.

    Looking for a new nail place since the young lady I usually go to, no longer offers hours that fit…read moremy schedule. Came to Yelp and found Indulge salon. Located on Stevens avenue amongst the village shops, Indulge is tucked away nicely. The display windows are reminiscent of days gone by which adds a nostalgic touch. Making an appointment was easy, contacted via Facebook where their menu of services is located. Made the appointment for a Saturday at 10a. Was able to get parking in front of Ramble coffee house located two store fronts away from Indulge. I've driven by multiple times and have seen the signage which makes it easy to find. Walked in a few minutes early, took my coat off and introduced myself to Jenn who will be my nail person. Another person was there cutting hair as well. This salon has 4 hairstylist stations along on wall and the other side was dedicated to nail fashion. Many and I mean MANY colors and types of colors to choose from. I'm not a fan of gel or any nail treatments that require the baking effect. I was to have regular polish then talked into the next level up for lingerie wear, Dazzle dry. It dries faster and lasts longer, sold! Great up sell! Jenn and I had a nice conversation about the neighborhood and life in general. Gave her some ideas on how to spruce up the display windows. Gave her some ideas on where to get and how to store so decorations can be reused each year. My activity director role coming out lol! After our conversations I learned the Jenn is the owner and has been at this location for 8 years. She's looking to spruce up the place but to do a full renovation is too much to take on at this time. Small improvements at a time. Made some recommendations once I knew she was open to ideas. I enjoyed the time and my nails were done very well. I usually chip within 24 hours, I lasted 26 lol! One nail ain't bad. Next time I will definitely go back to Jenn! Thank you
