It takes quite a bit for me to write a bad review on Yelp. I would much rather give kudos to a great restaurant or service, but I feel like this one needs to be written. My 90-year mom lives at Brookdale Assisted Living facility, just a couple of miles from this salon. In January we started looking for a local salon who was familiar with wash and style for a true senior. I made a few calls and was assured this was a place. We had one appointment with Dottie, who was very sweet, but her hours didn't work with our schedule. So we opted to stick with Claudia. Claudia's skills were definitely not at fault, and we were happy with her work. However, since February, I noticed that her pricing seemed to be going up. Started at $30.00 (always + a tip) for a basic shampoo and style. Last week I noticed the price was $35.00, but Claudia never mentioned the price increase, so I paid it. Today, my cousin took mom to Studio One, and I mentioned the price increase. I asked, if she thought of it, would she ask Claudia about it. Well, mom got her usual shampoo and style and was charged $40.00 + tip. A 25% increase for the exact same service within 2 months seemed excessive. My cousin paid, then texted that Claudia mentioned she "charged extra" when she had to help a senior to the wash bowl, and to sit at her station.Wha?!? When I'm with her, I do ALL the heavy lifting, and my cousin tries to let my mom do what she's comfortable with. After hearing this, I texted Claudia that I thought her price increase(s) were excessive. She called and said the same thing to me that she told my cousin. When I said, I did all the work when I went with mom, she spoke completely over me and said, "here's a solution, I won't do her hair any longer". Dang right, Claudia! As I mention in my text, I wouldn't let her do my mother's hair if she was the last hairdresser in COS. I also told her she was a price gouger. I didn't mention that she's just not a very decent human being. There's a million hair studios in COS, but this is one we'll be avoiding in the future. read more

Honestly kind of unprofessional to have a booking tab available on the website but then when you book online they don't keep track of their schedule. Spent time and did research looking for a hair salon/sylist. I booked with Claudia and the next day when I arrived she was no where to be found, everyone looked confused and she one of the women there said that I wasn't on the books for the day. Pretty frustrating if you ask me. If you book here make sure you call in because if you do it online they are clueless read more

Dotti asks questions and offers input when I come in with my latest requests, hi-lights, lowlights, more red, more brown, shorter, no growing it out - you get the picture. I've been going to Emily for probably two/three years now and she hasn't never disappointed me. She goes above and beyond in service, she has hair quality products, and is detail oriented. In so much words, she never let me look janky. For many years Ive been blonde and never found "the one" hair stylist that could prefect my vision until I saw friends post about her and I knew had to try her out. Overtime, as you can see, I built trust with her and have ran some what wild. However, I normally rock a bob I can safely know the cut will always look even. If you are fellow bob cut person too, you know the importance of a symmetrical cut. I highly recommend her and her prices are fair! Book now and thank me later. read more

I went in with the most pinkest pink hair, almost neon. Emily did not push me away she took me on and helped me with whatever I needed all while trying not to have to cut off my hair. I believe what she did was successful and the neon is gone and now I have a simple rose gold color that I absolutely love. Dottie and Emily were so helpful and they have a great attitude!!
