I have always loved yoga, so much so that i did 200 hour teacher training course and am registered with yoga alliance. i so wanted to get back in to a routine of increasing my pratice after a long break. I searched everywhere for a place that offers yoga at 5 am, and as many of you yogiee know there jus isnt anything at that time in the morning. I ended up coming across Bikrama yoga aka hit yoga, and thought i would give it a try. The location isnt the greatest, meaning its hidden, and if you are not careful you will miss the parking lot completely! Parking isnt bad, i usually park in the back behind the building, never had any issues that early in the morning. As i mentioned earlier i attend the 5 am class MWF. Doors are usually opened 15 mins prior to the start of class. inside you can expect to find a cute little studio equiped with showers and all. Mats and yoga wear is available for sale inside the lobby area, (but it is pricey) the actual class takes place on the other side of the glass door. The studio is lined with mirrors and balance bars similar to what u see in a dance studio. The floor is carpeted and the heat is turned up! Class starts promptly at 5am. The intructors are knowledgeable and lead you through a hour of different poses that flow together openning up your heart and mind. The tempterture keeps me sweating and my bones warm allowing me to get deeper in my poses, this yoga def gets you sweating and burning those calories, and jus as you get ready for Shavasana they give you an ice cold wash cloth laced with essential oils to help cool you off and relax. I highly recommend this place.

I signed up for the 14-day trial and on my first day I felt absolutely so awkward & uncomfortable. This studio is definitely wasn't for me. I didn't feel welcomed by the other boot campers and felt like their are cliques. Would not be going back. I might give Burn Boot Camp in Lake Murray a try.I love that there are a options in the Columbia area such as Studio Fire and Yoga Six that'll be trying out next.

Classes tend to be small, ranging from six to twenty people, and generally everyone gets some individual attention, especially those who have less experience or experience trouble getting into the poses. The first class is free, and after that $14 each, although teachers, students, and military personnel get classes for $9. Classes are definitely a physcial challenge, both to strength and flexibility. The only real improvements I could see would be a larger practice area and a bigger changing area/locker room. I'm a guy who sweats a lot, and if I need to go anywhere after a class, the best I can do is a baby-wipe shower in a one-person bathroom.

Since this was my first time at this studio my first class was free (drop-ins thereafter are $10 I believe). The clientele was a bit older for this class (as in past their college/grad school years), I'm not sure what it's like for the traditional classes. Kimberly the owner was very friendly and welcoming upon my entrance and "registration" (they have you fill out a release waiver). The studio is just one big room, with storage and one bathroom in the back. I brought my own mat, but they do provide all other props free of charge (blocks, blankets, sandbags). Unfortunately my asthma flared up and I started having a coughing fit during the wind down of the class (gah so embarrassing) so I excused myself to go cough in the bathroom, when I returned to my mat, Helen had put a few tissues and a cough drop down for me annnnnnnd eventually had to give me a water bottle. Although I was embarrassed, I really didn't feel any judgement. Thank you!!!!!! The class was excellent, very relaxing and a nice change (very good for the lower back pain I was having). Amsa also offers basic flow, vinyasa flow, deep stretch, yin yoga, and gentle stretch as well as special events led by out of town yogis! Check their Facebook for updates. I highly recommend!

I rarely have someone in class with me. The sauna seats 3+ - Staff is nice -Weight area Cons: -Hidden cost: Sign up is easy and appears reasonable, but lots of hidden cost. This is includes sign up fee. If you want to to do iso workouts you need to purchase a mat and towel from them (100+ cost), bands cost extra (12+), water cost, hair ties cost, renting requirement is 5 dollars -Weight area privacy: I wish there was a private area for weight or some partition to have partial privacy. It's in the open so people pass and wait for classes to start. -Variety of class videos: there is not a lot of variety in videos. I tend to see the same video. It's fine because I play music but I would love variety and the instructor doesn't seem to be sweating even though they should be in a sauna like us. It would help to see them do what we do. Overall, it's going good so far. I plan to continue to try. I enjoy sauna and pairing it with workouts make it better in between my gym days.

The instructor said swing yoga is only offered now for private parties. They do, however, offer occasional sound bath & paddle board yoga classes (with rentals provided) which is super fun & unique. All the instructors seem extremely knowledgeable and kind. You do hear some road noise at times in this studio, and occasionally from the restaurant directly below them, but nothing too terrible. Very clean studio. Definitely check it out:)

The studio is so cute and offers a great environment for a fun class. They also sell apparel and jewelry which you can browse before and after class. The class sizes are small, which I love because you get individualized attention and you are able to form relationships with other members of the studio. One of my favorite parts about Sunnyside is that each instructor makes an effort to get to know you. They know your name and your goals which allows them to help you achieve them! I've only been a member at Sunnyside for a couple of months but I have already seen results. I'm stronger than I have ever been thanks to these amazing 50 minute session!

A friend a mine wanted to do a fun event for a group of military women, mothers & wives so she found this place and we all made reservations to do the goat yoga. Many of the women have been deployed and deal with depression, ptsd and other aliments so this was to get them finally out the house. Due to no one's fault, the class was canceled due to bad weather. The friend who planned this event stated he had been in contact with this company about getting her refund so I contacted them and was told I would receive my refund as it was refunded the same day the class was cancelled, I believed them. I kept an eye on my account but didn't see anything so in between the few texts they responded to (see attached), they then said it should arrive soon, mind you it had at this point been over 10 days. Finally after calling and leaving messages, texting with no response, I contacted my bank to dispute the charge. I by no means am hurting for the money but there are women who are disabled who do rely on the money paid and they are hurting for every penny and has saved up for this class. No one in our group has been able ro get a refund or reach someone. I find this to be poor business practices and I will not recommend this place to anyone and I recommend any military affiliated personnel to avoid it as well. It's the principle at this point and I feel you've taken advantage of tons of women, all for a few hundred dollars.

The classes are fun, they play great music, and the instructors always bring the energy! I've been consistently coming to Beats for a couple months now, and the results have been incredible. I feel stronger, happier, and I can't recommend them enough!!!
