What won me to become her student was how she paid attention to detail. Other teachers I have visited often left me wondering if I was doing anything correctly. I didn't know, but Julie will take the time to make sure I understand what I am or am not doing correctly. Plus she teaches about which country the dances come from and the culture behind them, something I haven't seen other teachers do! If you truly want to learn about bellydance and want a teacher who is knowledgeable and thorough in their teaching, I highly recommend this studio. You will not be disappointed!

This class is not as structured and not as traditional, but it is a good shift. It's not so far from the traditional 26 and two that you get lost, but it does have some sections where you can do alternative poses or add vinyasas if you prefer. I really really liked the teacher who was also the owner. She has a really good energy and was really helpful and kind to me when I got there and talked me through how the class would go since it was not what I'm used to. I look forward to being able to go again while I'm in town for work. I would also like to try some other classes at the studio because it's really nice and opened an airy and I think it's got a really great vibe.

The instructors are super sweet and friendly. There is a diverse offering of classes that will make yogis and yoginis of all skill levels feel at home. The teachers are great at offering modifications and classes are intended to be individualized and for oneself rather than an athletic competition (though you're bound to feel the burn!) I especially love Yin yoga, which is half meditation, half holding long deep poses. It takes a lot of determination and focus, and works wonders on my anxiety. I also love regular flows and hot classes. One great thing about this studio is that you can book online via a seamless foolproof system.

You have to go to a separate area that has a check-in if you're doing some of the classes that are in the larger hot room. Everything was clean they have bathrooms where you can change or use the facilities. The check-in desk was in a really nice clean open spot like area. The room I practiced in was also very big and open and have lots of space, but it was a packed class. I went for the original 26 in hopes that it was a Bikram style yoga. The website did say that there were some variations to a traditional class. There were more variations than I prefer. I live in Orlando and I'm able to go to traditional Bikram classes regularly and they are my preferred type of yoga so this one was a little bit different than what I like to do and I did not go back. The teacher was friendly and seemed to know a few students so if you went regularly, you would feel welcomed I believe. They do also have a good new student promotion

The Refinery is a barre fitness studio that has created a process called BodyREmix: Release. Revive. Retain. to help you sculpt your body in the best and fastest way possible! Their Barre Original classes are one hour low impact workouts that still target the total body. Taking a strong influence from ballet, yoga, and pilates, barre is about performing small movements to strengthen muscles that you didn't know you had! Every strength segment is followed by a brief stretch to soothe your muscles and limit soreness. On my last visit, Sheryl Webster, the instructor and the business owner, took us through a tough but fun Barre Original workout set to some upbeat music that kept you pushing through the pain! I was so glad to see both seasoned barre athletes and rookies like myself out there! I thought I was at least mildly in shape before taking the class, but I was suffering from a special level of soreness that I didn't know was possible afterwards. I can certainly attest to how good of a workout barre is! You may become addicted, since they make it hard to go back to boring ole weight lifting! Seriously, give a barre class a try!

I was able to observe a class to see if I would be interested - and I did give it a try. I did a weekday evening class (Reformer Jump) and a Saturday morning class (Core Reformer); both were a bit intermediate. However, the instructors were patient in helping to make sure everyone was able to keep up and stay on point - or do what is more comfortable for the individual. I probably need to engage strictly in "very beginner" classes, lol! Unfortunately, the beginner friendly classes seemed to only be offered during the weekday morning hours and I work full time. In any case, for those who are interested in Pilates, I would certainly recommend this place. Note, individuals are responsible for sanitizing the equipment after the class is over. Hopefully, everyone sanitizes correctly for the next person.
