It felt upscale without being stuffy. The tables were also spaced far enough apart that you could actually enjoy a private conversation. The food was just as enjoyable. My favorite dish was definitely the pork chop. It was tender, and packed with a delicious smoky flavor. The portion was actually pretty generous, but it was so good that I finished every bite. Another standout was the banana pie. I'm usually not a big fan of banana desserts, but I'd seen so many people recommend it that I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did. It comes with a thin, delicate shell that you crack open before eating, and inside is this rich, creamy filling that's absolutely delicious. Definitely a must-order. The pork belly & biscuit was just okay for me. It wasn't bad, but I probably wouldn't order it again. The service was also excellent. It's professional, attentive, and they gave us plenty of space to enjoy the meal without constantly checking in. I'd definitely come back for the pork chop and the banana pie.

A must order. 4/5: The smoked catfish dumplings $24 have great flavor, but the wrapper is mushy and not QQ. It comes with a super greasy fried bread, which is great for mopping up the sauce, but I'd rather have QQ wrapper dumplings. 4/5: Rooted Fire cocktail $20. A sophisticated savory cocktail with pepper notes. 3/5: Pretzel and banana dessert $16. Overhyped. It has an interesting shatteringly-crisp chocolate crust, but the filling is meh. Just like all hotel-based restaurants, you need to wander through a labyrinth to get to the restrooms.

I got the almost aperol spritz and the salmon dish. Prelude has the most impressive mocktail menu I've seen thus far in Sacramento and I am a mocktail connoisseur. They have nonalcoholic gin and nonalcoholic tequila that actually tastes pretty similar to the real thing with less of the nasty bite to it. The almost aperol was so refreshing. The salmon dish was very tasty and cooked to perfection. The service that came along with it was amazing. My server Devon was awesome and so quick. He really knew everything about the menu. 10/10 deserves a raise! The ambiance is beautiful. The restaurant was clean to perfection. Looks like nobody had ever been in there before. I would recommend this place for a date night or even a solo date. I didn't need a reservation which surprised me. They deserve the hype. Keep up the great work!!

Beautiful Ambiance and Great Drinks, but the Food and Service Fell Flat…read more We really wanted to love this place because the ambiance is absolutely beautiful and the drinks were delicious. Unfortunately, the rest of our experience fell short, to the point where we decided to leave after appetizers and find dinner elsewhere. To start, the restaurant seemed heavily understaffed for how many people were there, which made the service struggle. We were also seated in the back room, which felt very claustrophobic due to the complete lack of windows and having only one entrance. The food was a major letdown. We started with the mozzarella caprese salad, which didn't have enough sauce, and the ingredients felt like they were just dumped on a plate and not married together at all. We also ordered the flatbread pizza, but the dough didn't taste good and the tomato on top was completely raw. It tasted like it desperately needed something--some cooking, salt, pepper, or a drizzle of olive oil. Even the soup was just okay. Because the appetizers were so disappointing, we didn't want to risk ordering dinner and decided to leave. It's a lovely spot for a cocktail, but we won't be returning for the food.

Lyle Lovett called the center the "Matchstick Palace" refering to the amount of wood used inside including the chairs. During the summer, there are two entrances to the venue which make it easy to enter from either parking areas. Security staff are friendly and keep the lines moving. Ushers are posted all around the venue inside and out, which makes it easy to locate if you have questions or an emergency. We sit at reserved tables on the tiered lawn just behind the open wall of the center and find it very comfortable. There is a big screen to see the performers and plenty of speakers to hear. There is even a fenced in area just beyond the theater to dance. There are plenty of food trucks and tables to purchase food and drink as well. And of course, behind the lawn is a "real" bathroom to use, nice and clean and convenient!

Had to file a support ticket. An hour later the system came back online - though lost my place in line. Nice one. Still managed to get some nice seats on the lawn. Parking Ingress is terrible. One lane into the lot. Zero traffic management =massive traffic delays. Event ingress is similarly poor. Untrained staff, disorganized entry. Massive delays as they enact security theater on thousands. I'm due there were people on line who would miss the entire first act while trying to get in. Food/drink lines similarly screwed up. Card readers not working, slow service, very slow throughput. No excuse for this level of service. After wet make it to our table at the front of the lawn we discover the band is in there at far end of the building - at least 150ft away!.Cannot even see the stage. This odd at concert - you are music going to watching it in projection. Nobody inside either. Just put the simmer stage at the back of the billing and make it an outdoor theater- not this idiotic double venue. Ungodly loud. Hitting over 120db on spl! Gen sorry for folks without hearing protection- this will cause hearing damage. Nice sound system, but irresponsibly loud. First class venue with third-world event management. It'sa real shame, this place could be incredible if someone who knew how to manage events took over. Take a clue and study how the Greek Amphitheaters in Berkeley does things. Maybe it's just an I'm too old/it's too loud thing. Or maybe SSU of running the potential of this resource with such tremendous potential. Truly disappointing...

Beyond Compare - Musical Heart Strings Made Our Wedding Truly Magical!…read more Working with Gretchen and Kerry of Musical Heart Strings was one of the best decisions we made for our Tiburon wedding. We immediately wanted to work with them after seeing their website and content, and their live performance did not disappoint. They are truly phenomenal musicians! From our very first outreach, they were full of excitement and so happy to workshop unique ideas with us to make our day as special as possible. They brought two massive highlights to our wedding that our guests are still talking about. First, they were totally open to leading our recessional, playing their instruments while walking as we exited the ceremony, which gave the entire moment a beautifully joyful and light feeling. Second, they collaborated flawlessly with our DJ for a super unique grand entrance to our reception. They played live violin and cello right along with the DJ playing Glenn Miller's "In the Mood" in the background--it was incredibly fun and really got the crowd going! Gretchen and Kerry are consummate professionals whose musical abilities are beyond compare. They set the perfect ambiance and made our day unforgettable.
