I stopped in after an evening event, looking for a lighter late bite, and grabbed a seat at the bar (my usual move when dining solo). From the start, everything just clicked. The space strikes that ideal balance: polished without feeling stuffy, with a warm, inviting energy that works just as well for a casual solo visit as it does for a full dinner out. I kept things simple food-wise and was glad I did. The deviled eggs were anything but basic--nicely elevated without losing their comfort-food appeal. The Nashville hot oysters brought a great mix of heat and flavor, bold but still balanced. Both dishes felt thoughtful and well-executed, even for a lighter order. To drink, I went with an extra dry Manhattan (maybe two), both of which were expertly made--clean, precise, and exactly what I was hoping for at the end of a long day. Service at the bar was spot-on: attentive without hovering, friendly without overdoing it. The kind of place where you feel taken care of but never rushed. All in all, Prelude delivered across the board--food, service, and ambiance. What started as a convenient stop turned into a place I'd absolutely go out of my way to return to next time I'm in town.

We booked out the semi-private dining area for a corporate event that had a sizeable upfront cost commitment. The restaurant does a fancy take on southern cuisine. The highlight definitely was the chicken drumstick that was remade with a spice-and-meat mix and fried on a bone for presentation. Personally not a fan of warm oysters. The catfish dumplings were interesting to try. Deviled eggs can never do harm but aren't what I'd consider a fancy food item. The steak served at the end of the menu was delicious, but we were so full of the smaller nibbles that no one was able to finish the serving. The champagne served was great, the wine was okay. The staff was very friendly. To get to the restroom you have to walk through a backdoor and halfway through the connecting hotel.

Staff dress code fit the mood as well. Anna helped with our reservation. She was most enjoyable and friendly. Erica was our attendant. She was professional yet fun. Food presentation was on point. We ordered the steak and the pork chop. The portion sizes are generous so be prepared to get your money's worth. They offer a great wine selection. We ordered the focaccia appetizer- would highly recommend. Our only issue was not wanting the asparagus that came with the steak. My partner asked to switch out to seasonal vegetables. Our attendant said no issue at all however, what came in its place (after the steak was served) was a sad bowl of spinach and not sure what else). It just kind of felt like we ticked off the chef by having an allergy issue. Not a big deal just to note. All and all, would definitely visit again. It's pricey but worth it. They have a lovely outdoor patio and its steps away from a parking garage.

Excellent. I had the smoked salmon canapés Great sauce and light starter. The long cod: I was afraid to order seafood with chorizo in the ingredient list. Seemed risky. Bartendress convinced me otherwise. The chorizo risotto is the bed the king cod sits on. Slightly spicy yes. It's like having two complimentary separate meals. The chorizo risotto is very flavorful in its own way. The leeks /sausage slices ( not described in the menu) were a great explosion of flavor. I separated the lingcod and risotto bites with a small mix of wine which cleaned me palate between bites perfectly. Capers. Like chocolate on ice cream. Always a great touch The long cod

They def knew their menu. Immediately brought water with cucumber and lemon, very refreshing. I ordered the bread with butter to start, it was excellent. That butter just melts on every bite, taking the bread to the next level. Staff recommended the Rachel pastrami. It did not disappoint. It was very simple. However the combination of the thousand Island, sauerkraut, the pastrami and buttered bread just made it so delicious. It was decently meat packed too. The sandwich came with fries which I inhaled the ketchup that they brought me extra. It also came with two types of coleslaw both were delish. They were not overwhelming with dressing. The yellow one was interesting bc I thought it was turmeric but it was slightly sweet. Delish as well. Also ordered their Italian prosecco. I'm into red wine but for some reason perhaps the environment I felt the prosecco would work and it did! It was bubbly refreshing, tasty, and not dry. Their restroom was big and clean. This is in the Jack London Village. They have parking on both ends. The village has other restaurants and wine tasting as well.

This ended up being one of my top brewery visits on my entire trip, because of the staff, other customers, and excellent quality beer. This is their barrel house; they had outdoor seating, lots of tables, bar seating, and a separate private event space. The merchandise area is a little alcove near the door. I sat at the bar and had a flight, there were so many favorite styles on tap that I tried to have a nice selection of different ones. Due to how the evening progressed I ended up trying almost every beer on tap that night. On my visit it was trivia night, so I jumped on a team and made some friends. We ended up winning first place, they insisted I take the gift card prize and even bought me a case of IPA on the way out! I also had a quesadilla, maybe the best ever, from the pop up tent outside that evening. Prices were excellent of everything for the quality! If you're a beer fan in Petaluma, this is arguably the best brewery in town!
