I was so happy to stumble upon Lucie Pham, and even though I was terribly nervous, (I mean who hasn't had a bad experience with a hairdresser before? Double that with the supposed language barrier and you could say I was terrified) I walked into Lucie's and felt immediately at ease. I came in with my broken french, a picture in hand and the rest is history. I got my hair done by Deshira, who was really sweet and did everything I asked and more. My first ever haircut and treatment in France since we have relocated here in late Feb. After googling about hair salon nearby 2nd district and read the Yelp reviews, I have decided to give this one a chance and I am not disappointed. It's only 20 min easy walk from north to south of the 2nd. My stylist is Joseph. He speaks very good English. We have no problem communicating. Cost is very reasonable. He takes his time and listens to my request and questions. He is friendly and genuine. The salon is not luxury but clean, tidy and cozy. In two hours, we have completed coloring using natural products ( no ammonia), deep natural hair treatment, hair cut and styling. Before the service, I looked like a person who desperately need to be fixed by a professional hair stylist. Well, it's been more than 3 months without seeing anyone. After seeing Joseph, I look all brand new. What a relief and walking away with a big smile on my face. I of course have booked my next appointment with him in July as soon as I'm done. Highly recommended this place if you don't speak much French. I'm a happy and lucky customer. Will be a repeated customer.

The owner knows some english and was the one who cut my hair. She was very nice, has 10 years of experience and did a good job cutting my hair! As always, make sure you are specific with what you want and don't want done to your hair. The products smell great, are organic and not tested on animals! Call or walk-in to make an appointment, but not everyone there knows Englsih so it may be better to walk-in if your French is not the best.
