She was very sensitive and knew a lot about her skill. I chatted with the owner through yelp to schedule an appointment and he was very accommodating and helpful even to foreigners. This place is a little diamond in the rough and must not be overlooked. I highly recommend this place!

The prices are very reasonable. Unfortunately, the wax service I received left a little to be desired. I noticed a few hours after leaving the salon that the job done was not thorough at all. It was also somehow more painful than usual; maybe it's because the wax used was really really way too hot. For that reason, I don't think I would come back for the same treatment. Maybe the other treatments are better and I just had some bad luck!

Normally in Germany you need to make appointments way in advance for everything. The salon is beautifully decorated and with relaxing music that's not cheesey (I think it was Brazilian). I left feeling very pampered and pretty with my silky soft feet painted bright purple. Sonia is extremely friendly and welcoming, and though she claims that her English is not very good... It actually is just fine. Her salon offers so many great services and I am definitely going back soon.

They also responded with false claims about what was communicated in the email thread between us, which I have since reviewed to be sure I had not misunderstood. I was correct the first time. Also, they claim that they do not charge for new customers, yet it was their lash tech who told me (twice) I'd be charged as a new customer when I was there for my service. Really disappointing and unethical service.

The space is small but clean and welcoming. Not everyone spoke English, but my manicurist could ask me the typical questions and blessedly did not attempt small talk. Shellac/UV gel colors are a little more limited compared to what I usually see at home in NYC, but was able to find a pretty peach-toned nude after the manicurist couldn't do a milky white look. The entire session took about an hour, and I really appreciate the time she took to clean up my cuticles (my hands were a mess). It's been over a week and my nails still look great!

Aber am Ende musste ich 30€ (4,50€ mehr) und meinem Freund 24€ (3,60€ mehr) bezahlen, nicht als Trinkgeld, sondern als Strafe. Ist das rechtmäßig? Warum informieren sie uns nicht vor der Behandlung darüber (entweder im Salon oder auf der Website) und berechnen uns direkt nach der Behandlung ohne vorherige Ankündigung oder Erklärung?

A few notes today: *The spa is located on the 6th floor of the Weinmeister Hotel (in the general area of U-bahn Weinmeisterstrasse, the M1 tram stop for Weinmeisterstrasse/Gipsstrasse when you go south and Hackescher Markt going north or Hackescher Markt S-bahn stop itself). When you enter the front door (with the "street art" on it), you have to have the staff let you into the elevator/lift area since you don't have a keycard. You just say that you have an appointment at the BeautySpa and hoped they could let you in to the elevator. I speak German, but the hotel staff speaks English very well. *Pedicure was excellent. You have your own private room and recline with cookies, tea, lemon water. Good quality color selection. Service was excellent. Cost was 55 Euro for pedicure and color. Most of their prices are online, though, so you can check those out. The woman I worked with spoke some English but we stuck to German since she feels more comfortable with that. She is Italian, so she speaks that as well. *They accept cash, Visa, Mastercard and EC-card (which is a German/European type of card). Overall, recommended.
