Happy 1600th Review!! I have been saving Barre Element for this milestone review since they have…read morebeen my latest love as the fitness industry is allowed to slowly reopen with strong restrictions. My heart aches for the fitness industry as I began my early career for a fitness company's corporate office for 5 and a half years. Many of my former coworkers and close friends experienced hardships due to the pandemic. On top of that, my former go-to Barre studio in Irvine, Cardio Barre/Ever Barre did not survive the economic downfalls of the pandemic... Thankfully I was able to find Barre Element through the Mind Body app, and I absolutely love it!! Prior to signing up, I called the business to make sure they were for-reals ready to open. Liz answered my call and she was extremely sweet and professional. She informed me of all of the safety precautions and what I needed to bring to the class. After my conversation with Liz, I was so reassured and positive about the studio that I committed to the Intro 1st Month Unlimited ($99). Covid Safety - Everyone takes their temperature at the door. Clearly marked 6 ft distance in the studio. Limit capacity to 8 students. Extra efforts into sanitizing, air filter and uv light disinfecting. Covid liability waiver. Virtual classes also available on Zoom if you are not personally comfortable with going back to the studios yet. For any first timers, you will need grip socks. Available for purchase if you do not already have your own pair. Definitely bring water!! Mats are available, but I like to bring my own. Be ready to experience soreness after your work out!! There is a board on the far end of the studio indicating which fitness props you need for the day, such as weights, resistance bands, weight ball, etc. Don't be late!! And let your instructor know if you have any injuries/issues prior to class. I have been to so many classes and I love all of the instructors and the other ladies who take class. Everyone is absolutely lovely and we all send out positive vibes, encourage and love to each other. Shout out to my Barre BFF Fran!!! We met in barre class quite recently but if you see us interacting, you would think we have been BFFs for everrrsssss. Here are a few of the classes and instructors I have encountered. In chronological order to be fair :) Barre with Ci'Monique - My first first first class here and first real work out after months of being lockdown in the pandemic was with Ci'Monique! I love her energy. This class is designed to help tone and lengthen lean muscles. The combination of movements help strength your core with added elements of cardio and sculpting exercises. Her energy and music selection really helps keep me motivated and pushing to do my best. Classic Barre with Mary - Less cardio and more traditional dance movements. This class aims to lean and lengthen. Mary is super sweet, but her work outs will still kick your butt! Barre Intensity with Christina - I loooove Christinaaaa!! Her classes are tough, but she always reminds you to listen to your body and provide alternatives for more or less intensity. This class combines pilates, dance and functional fitness. It is a full body work out and you definitely leave feeling mentally and physically stronger. Barre Intensity with Vanessa - Similar style as class mentioned above. When I got to Vanessa's classes I can expect a good toning work out because she is preparing for her wedding and I am preparing for my friend's wedding so I really appreciate the arm leaning movements despite how much I melt in class. She sticks it out with us the entire time to reach her own goals. Yoga Sculpt/Yoga Sculpt EXTREME with Celia - I love Celia so much but her work out definitely made my fat cry. I sign up for classes based on my personal schedule and availability so I didn't read when I signed up for. When I came to the Yoga Sculpt I already died, and apparently I signed up for the EXTREME version the following day. This class is a combination of Barre and PiYo, so there is a lot of isometric exercises with added vinyasa flow. It may seem like simple movements, but your body will definitely feel the burn. In addition to loving all the classes, the instructors and fellow barre ladies, Element Barre has an amazing merchandise section. I have purchased cute cute shirts that Liz has designed, a decent amount of grip socks and even cute fashionable hot pink weights that I use outside of class too. I just love everything about this place. I am so grateful to have discovered this hidden gem to help me pursue my personal goals and just be the best version of myself I can be. I always catch feelings for physically super fit guys, so I better stay in somewhat decent shape to keep up :)

I was looking for something to boost my confidence and fitness, and I found it here. The infrared sauna workouts are incredible--intense, fast, and I leave feeling so empowered every time. BUT! I have to give a huge shoutout to Stella and her amazing staff at HOTWORX! From the moment I walked in, they've been more than just employees. They are my biggest cheerleaders. They actually take the time to know your name and greet you every single day. Whether I have a question about a session or just need a little motivation, they are always helpful, friendly, and genuinely kind. It's rare to find a team that makes you feel so seen and supported. Also the entire studio is spotlessly clean and has such a positive, inviting vibe. If you are on the fence, just do it! It has given me so much confidence in myself. 10/10!"

I came in with a hip replacement on one side and arthritis in the other, and the progress I've made has been remarkable. Daria is not only highly knowledgeable but also deeply attentive to individual needs. Her approach is both gentle and precise, always focused on creating ease, strength, and balance in the body. Her guidance has helped me regain mobility and reduce discomfort, far beyond what I expected. Each session is tailored, mindful, and even meditative -- I leave feeling taller, freer, and more connected to my body. Om Sweet Om is a peaceful and welcoming space, ideal for anyone seeking healing, strength, and a deeper sense of embodiment. I cannot recommend it enough. --Paulo C. Chagas

The non discriminatory culture, emphasis on equality, fairness throughout (to kids and staff), and empowerment skills taught and demonstrated to our children, are undeniable. We are fortunate to have a place like Top Billing Entertainment (TBE), where children can learn,…read moreperform, and be part of a community centered around the arts. My child genuinely enjoys the classes, and I have seen regular improvements in her movement, confidence, and performance. I am giving TBE a 3-star rating because I believe there are two significant areas for improvement. 1. Organization and Communication TBE has an opportunity to become much more organized. On numerous occasions, classes have started late or instructors have arrived after the scheduled start time. There have also been times when instructors have needed to stop class to remember routines or choreography before continuing. While understandable from time to time, it happens often enough that it reduces the amount of instructional time the children receive. Communication is another area that could be improved. Most information is shared through the Band app, but it is cluttered and difficult to navigate. When parents ask questions, they are often directed back to the app instead of receiving a direct answer. I would much rather receive emails, similar to the clear communication TBE sends for summer camp. A portion of classes is also spent reviewing upcoming shows, participation requirements, deadlines, and other announcements. While these updates are important, much of this information is repeated week after week and could easily be communicated by email instead, allowing children to spend more time learning and practicing. The website could also be maintained better. Show tickets are sold online, but the website is not consistently updated, making it difficult to know when tickets are available. On several occasions, email links have directed parents to outdated or expired pages. Scheduling can be frustrating. Parents commit to a class schedule and plan around those times, only to have classes combined with another class, resulting in schedule changes. I understand that adjustments are sometimes necessary, but greater consistency and planning would be appreciated. Classroom capacity is another concern. Depending on what else is happening, too many children are sometimes placed into the smaller classroom, which has poor ventilation. It becomes crowded enough that children are unable to practice effectively, and even instructors have commented during class about how crowded the room is while asking students to simply do their best. 2. Pricing and Value I also believe TBE should reconsider parts of its pricing model. Parents already pay monthly tuition, purchase costumes, and buy tickets to attend performances. In addition, children are sometimes required to pay participation fees to perform in the shows themselves. As a nonprofit organization, I worry that these additional fees may unintentionally price some lower-income families out of participating. Ticket prices can also become expensive, especially after online service fees are added. Two tickets can easily cost between $50 and $90 depending on seating. Since many performances are held at the school, more family-friendly pricing would be appreciated. There are also occasions when students are required to wear a TBE shirt for an event. If a family doesn't already own one, they must purchase another item simply for their child to participate. One small thing that stood out to me is that if a child forgets to bring a water bottle, parents are required to purchase a $2 cup so their child can drink water. While the cost itself is minor, it feels like a missed opportunity to extend a simple courtesy. Considering the various fees families already pay, providing a complimentary cup would be a small gesture that demonstrates care and appreciation for the families who support the program. Despite these concerns, I remain grateful that a place like TBE exists. My child enjoys being part of the program, and I appreciate the opportunities it provides for children to grow through the performing arts. I am sharing these observations because I genuinely want to see TBE continue to grow and succeed. I hope this feedback encourages continued improvement and also helps parents who are considering the program better understand what to expect.
