Worked there for two years. Additional duties added over time being there with no additional…read morecompensation. When asking for a raise was lead to believe we would have a discussion. Only to go into the discussion to be handed a termination letter. When seeking answers on why, was never provided a sufficient answer. Management has no backbone or leadership skills. If you don't kiss butt, I do not recommend working there. Fortunately for me management couldn't justify the termination and I was awarded employment insurance. The best thing to come from this were the friends I made from working there. Otherwise if you would like to work in a fast paced, low pay and big net of responsibilities environment then maybe this is the job opportunity for you.

First of all, despite all the web sites which show toews photo studios on vaughn street, the…read morebusiness on vaughn has been closed down for a couple of years now...it was around for a long time and then i think a new owner came along and couldnt keep the actual studio going. toews was recommended by a friend of mine and when she used them for her wedding a few years ago, the studio was still open and i think toews had a few photographers and employees. when i emailed from the web site i heard back and met with the owner/photographer Jodie (who is the person who bought the business a few years ago i think), who i guess is the only person working for and representing toews now.my impression is that she works by herself now under the name Toews Photo i guess because people recognize the name so she can get more customers that way like she does at the wedding show (another friend of mine almost hired her there, but luckily did not). i hired her for my wedding and then came all the prolems. Jodie was confused alot of the time, chronically late for meetings and took way longer than promised to deliver my photos. i really had to fight to get what i was promised. i found out later that until recently when the reviews expired (which they do after 36 months), that toews had a rating of F on the Better Business Bureau web site and that was because of failure to follow contracts and deliver goods. i wish i had known. This is a serious warning!! people need to know that toews photo is not what it appears to be. it used to be a successful business and now it is one woman who i think just works out of her basement. while the pictures were ok, everythung was just really unprofessional...you will have to fight to get what you are promised and what you get in the end just isnt that special.this business has had alot of issues in the last couple of years. there are lots of great wedding photographers her in the peg so my advice is to go with one you have looked up on BBB and here as well as had recommended by people you know.no one needs that stress around their wedding time.

We really wanted all of the emotion of our wedding day to be captured, and I still go back through my photos and a tear comes to my eye as I re-live all of the love of that day. It's a bonus that Harinder is also hilarious, and a good time to hang out with. Our wedding guests were super impressed with him and his commitment to getting all of the awesome shots.
