The other barber's I've tried in the area opted to bulldoze the problem with trimmers, leading to uneven and unsatisfactory results Connie's approach was to take the time to talk through what I was looking for, guided by her suggestions and experience. It was a helpful and collaborative process. It led to my best cut yet, and I know the results will only improve as time goes on. Her reference cards for each customer let you know she takes the time to adjust as needed for each individual. Plus, Connie also has an awesome shop dog! It was probably the best decision I made on the trip. Micah is a very friendly, personable guy. He was working on one dude when I walked in and there were 3 waiting to get cuts. Since I was on vacation and in no rush to go anywhere, I decided to wait it out. It really wasn't bad at all: I sat down in the chair about 40 minutes later. It was worth the wait. All I told Micah was a "3 high on the sides and trim it short on the top." That's pretty straight forward right? Well for some reason 90% of the barbers/haircutters I've gone to CAN'T FOLLOW THOSE INSTRUCTIONS! Micah, however, did perfectly. I wish he was in DC instead of Lebanon. Oh well... I only have two minor gripes: he didn't ask about the sideburns (cut those f'ers off!) while nearly every other barber has, and he didn't ask how I wanted it in the back (tapered, squared, etc). Actually they aren't gripes because I don't give a shit about either one (I can shave the burns off myself and not like I can see the back of my head right?) but just saying those are two areas that were slight blemishes on his performance. Price is 11 bucks too, great deal. If I'm ever in the area again and in need of a haircut, I know where to go, that's for sure.

I have now had my hair done by both and have been equally satisfied. The shop is clean, sleek, and relaxing with continued improvements seemingly every time I come in. For many months I had Lori cutting my hair. She was very knowledgeable about current trends and executed very well. Recently, I stopped in and after selecting a preference for either employee I ended up at Philip's station. I was honestly a bit nervous after having had positive experiences with Lori but Philip was fantastic! He took immense care in what he was doing and I ended up with a great cut and beard trim. I did notice another review claiming high prices and I highly refute that statement. My haircut and beard trim took around 45 minutes and cost me $18 before tip. Extremely reasonable and CHEAPER than chain locations that bust out cuts as fast as they can. I know this establishment has begun the process of getting its liquor license to add a true gentleman salon feel. They have also recently purchased a humidor in hopes of stocking fine cigars (to be consumed off-site). These additions will further my enthusiasm for this establishment.
