Studio 26 offers the original Hot Yoga, 26 postures with 2 breathing exercises in a state of the art studio, heated to 105F (41C) with humidity ranging from 30-40%. Our studio flooring is a Tajima Sports floor which is closed cell, anti-wick composite rubber backing with a textured vinyl surface. It is cleaned and sanitized between each class. All of our teachers are certified and have up to date First Aid/CPR. Our teachers are dedicated to provide quality programs and are continuously evaluated and provided with feedback from teachers and students to ensure growth and development. We also offer Intro 26 (unheated),The Fixx (one hour), Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Pilates, Boot Camp Circuit and Kids Yoga. Studio 26 also offers a Wellness Centre with two Registered Massage Therapists.

History

Established in 2013.

Studio 26 Hot Yoga is owned and operated by Todd Miller, BRS. Todd has been teaching in Winnipeg for over 30 years and is a Bikram certified teacher. Todd was a national gymnastics competitor which lead to his training at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. His dance career included training at Les Ballet-Jazz in Montreal and Winnipeg's Contemporary Dancers where he taught the Jazz program. A certified Fitness, Pilates and Dance teacher, Todd has taught in every major facility in Winnipeg. After completing his Bachelor of Recreation Studies at University of Manitoba, Todd became the Program Director at the YM-YWCA of Winnipeg in 1992. Todd started his own company in 2001 to pursue his goals and opened Studio 26 Yoga & Wellness in the fall of 2013.

Meet the Business Owner: Todd M.

Todd has over thirty years of teaching experience in the fitness and dance industry. After 10 years as a competitive gymnast Todd trained at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Les Ballet-Jazz of Montreal and Winnipeg's Contemporary Dancers, where he taught the Youth and Adult Jazz programs and graduated from the Professional Program. As a certified Fitness and Pilates teacher, Todd taught a variety of classes including; Hi/Lo, Step, Stretch and Strength, Aquafit and Pilates in numerous facilities throughout Winnipeg. Upon completing a Bachelor of Recreation Studies at University of Manitoba, Todd became the Program Director at the YM/YWCA of Winnipeg. After years of suffering with serious spinal injuries Todd began practicing Bikram Yoga and in the spring of 2008 he travelled to Acapulco to certify as a Bikram Yoga teacher. Todd now teaches exclusively at Studio 26 Hot Yoga which he opened in the fall of 2013.
