Noho has been such a blessing in helping me with my recovery. I've been in recovery for 3 years and…read moreno treatment center has ever allowed as much time, given as much empathy, set me up with a great team of counselors/therapists/psych... etc... Noho truly gives you the tools to push forward and to succeed. They allow you to express your creativity and be yourself which I believe is SO important in recovery. Jessica and Jeremy are also wonderful house managers, they are always there for you when you need them, great support! The groups are also amazing, the facilitators know recovery because they've been there. They speak the truth and their actions and attitudes match-- no BS with them. You're learning from real people who have turned their lives around and have beautiful lives now because of it. If you want to go far in life you have to surround yourself with people who want the same-- every person here is exactly that.

I was planning on transferring programs because this has been the worst experience I've had in…read morerecovery housing. On Friday night, I expressed my intention to leave, and staff told me I needed to wait until Monday to complete a formal discharge. I agreed to that. Sunday night, while packing my belongings, I accidentally missed my UA time by about an hour. Shortly after, I received a text in the house group chat from Ryan Young saying, "You need to UA now or we will throw all of your things on the road. This is not a Motel 6 or a storage unit." That was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. The staff themselves told me to remain there until Monday, so to be threatened and humiliated publicly in the group chat was unnecessary and degrading. I would honestly have preferred staying in a Motel 6 than dealing with that kind of treatment. This program lacks compassion, professionalism, and basic respect for its residents. I don't recommend it to anyone.

It took a friend convincing me to get help and give Ritz a shot, and honestly, it was the best decision I ever made. The staff really knows what they're doing when it comes to this disease, and they helped me finally get off fentanyl for good. Ritz is clean, cozy, and has this chill vibe that makes it easy to settle in and focus on getting better. What I loved most was how the team treated me , they actually listened, kept it real, and showed real compassion because many of them had been through the same struggles. They didn't just throw a one size fits all plan at me, they made a plan that fit meIt felt like a safe space where I could be open and vulnerable without any judgment. I met people there I never thought I'd even hang out with, but some of them turned out to be the best folks I've met. We even went on weekend outings that showed me how to have fun without drugs. Oh, and huge shoutout to Steve, the chef, seriously, the best food I've ever had.

Not the best experience, I was targeted by certain staff members and treated poorly at times. while…read moresome staff members were exceptionally helpful and supportive(Danielle, nick, Laura, Johanna, and Chantelle as well as the chef). The overall company was trying to get the most money out of my insurance as possible. I started off in the sober living facility and during Christmas time, I had covid over winter and had to take NyQuil and that was the first excuse for forcing me back into a rehab program that was not needed. My reason for being in the program in the first place was that I had 18 back to back surgeries over the past 4 years and was on opioids for a long period of time so this was a way to detox in a safe environment. There was no psychological addiction, just physical dependence to opioids. They lied about multiple addictions to medication(amphetamine addiction) that I was prescribed since childhood and used it to get more money through insurance. They also lied about an alcohol addiction, when I am medically intolerant to alcohol. When I got back to the sober living after this time I was talked about poorly among staff members and called "attention seeking" for asking for a few days off in order to visit 2 dying family members. Eventually someone in the group had consumed alcohol and told the staff which upset another client due to the unfairness and favoritism. This upset client gave me alcohol without my knowledge or consent and afterwards told the staff that I was drunk. This other client had been upset and doing things like this for 2 weeks prior to this incident. I believe he did this in order to prove a point that they will send people they dislike or with good insurance back to rehab in order to get more money. This client later confessed to me he had put alcohol in my drink without my consent and I had a reaction to the alcohol and was placed back into the rehab facility. I was put on addictive barbiturates and unnecessary medications for 2 days before my insurance denied coverage due to fraudulent services. The alcohol level was so low that there was no logical reason I needed to be there. I was then abandoned as a patient had had to find a new place to live in 2 hours or I was out on the street. Remember it's just a business. They don't actually care about you. They left another 2 of my friends on their own where one eventually fell into a coma following her abandonment. Something else they did was contact my pharmacy and told them never to fill any of my prescriptions ever from any doctor. I was no longer under their care at all. I'm a disabled person and this made it very difficult to obtain medication that I needed. This is a HIPPA violation for sure.

The kitchen staff does a excellent job creating tasty and nutritious meals. The administration staff walks the fine line of corporate needs and patient needs. it is necessary to advocate for yourself at times, but that is actually a healthy part of your rehabilitation process in my eyes. I was a patient here for over a month, during that time I met some amazing people on their staff! One thing to consider when you're coming from a hospital environment or a critical care unit, this isn't that. You won't get a 2 second response on the call light, and your needs may be met in order received. be patient be understanding, be courteous to the staff and it will return to you tenfold. be sure to ask questions, advocate for yourself.

The Giving Tree provided everything that was on the website and was promised, theres no reason to give a 1 star because some didnt get meds for 24 hours, because they always provided something immediate to help sleep and anxiety, but if one is referring to waiting 24hours to take Subutex or Suboxone, YES, that is true! & That is so you don't go into immediate withdrawal & possibly DIE, if you take before 24 hours!? I was never comforted better than when I was at the Giving Tree. Paulina and Daisy were both SO inspiring, and helped give me strength when I was feeling down!! I will forever be grateful to them for my sobriety!! Addiction is difficult, and no matter how amazing a program is, you need to dig down deep and be willing to change. To the Administration and Staff of Sherman Oaks Health & Rehabilitation Center,…read more I am writing to express my deepest gratitude to everyone at Sherman Oaks Health & Rehabilitation Center for the care and compassion you showed my sister during her time at your facility. My sister, Sofia Vinokur, was under your care for two and a half years. During that time, the staff treated her with dignity, patience, and kindness. Even in the most difficult moments, I could see that the nurses and caregivers truly cared about her comfort and well-being. Although she has sadly passed away, our family will always remember the warmth, professionalism, and dedication shown by your team. It gave us peace of mind knowing she was in caring hands. Please extend my heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff who supported her every day. Your work makes a real difference in the lives of families like ours. With sincere appreciation, Roman Baranov
