We recently used Stucco Check when considering purchasing a 4 story home made entirely of stucco. These guys were a lifesaver on identifying extensive issues throughout the house that most likely permeated to the framework. They were also able to point out areas that seemed to be improperly repaired and repainted but not disclosed to us (despite requesting this information from the sellers). Our technician Colton was very personable and spent time walking us through the various areas of the house and explaining what the issues were and how they could be improved if we went forward. Ultimately, we walked away from the deal due to the high potential for this to be an extremely expensive and time-consuming repair (in addition to other issues found during the regular inspection). If you are considering a house made of stucco, DO NOT SKIP THE STUCCO INSPECTION. The extra money now can save you from a massive headache and regret in the future. Highly recommend Stucco Check to either help give you peace of mind or know when to walk away. read more

Great service. Report took about a week, but I was in no rush. Professional. Easy payment process. Waiver that had to be signed should be put in a DocuSign format. It was a hassle to locate a printer (paper. Ew!). Knowledgeable. Helpful. Report is easy to understand. 5 stars!! read more

Stucco Check Inspections - Stucco Services Near Me - Houston, Texas

Stucco Check completed an inspection for our home that we are selling after we had a previous inspection report that came back with a wide range of readings. We wanted a second opinion for some areas of concern and we were very satisfied with the accuracy of Stucco Check's inspection and their thoroughness. And they were able to schedule us in quickly during the buyer's option period! Their report really helped us finalize the sale and we were very pleased with their service. Will be using them again in the future. read more

I have used Stucco Check for both of my homes. They really were a life saver when trying to sell my first home. The buyer had a stucco inspector provide false readings and the sale of my home almost fell through. I called up Stucco Check who came out the next day along with the builder's warranty rep and provided a much more accurate reading. I would recommend Stucco check to anyone who is either trying to buy/sell a home or if you just want peace of mind on how your stucco is doing if it hasn't been checked in a long time. read more

I recently worked with Stucco Check for my inspection and I couldn't recommend them more! We were in a crunch for time and they made sure to do the inspection and submit the report in plenty of time during my offer period. They went above and beyond and connected me with someone who could do repairs and give an estimate. The report was extremely detailed. read more

We agreed to a Stucco Check Inspection based on the request by a potential buyer for our home currently on the market. We could not be more disappointed. When promised that the 13 holes drilled in our home will be hardly noticeable, we were left with 2 holes with the wrong sealant viewable from the street, 2 holes without sealant exposing our house to new moisture, and the remaining holes with another wrong color sealant repaired in a very poor manner. With impending inclement weather and poor repairs post inspection, we are now concerned about additional damage resulting from the inspection. We do not recommend this vendor. Their inspection may be through, but your home will be left in disrepair. read more

Although I didn't end up using his services, HUGE shoutout to Michael Luna for taking the time to help me out and make recommendations on my repairs. He speaks intelligently, kindly, and succinctly. I will definitely be using him in the future read more

Bottom line: Stucco Check is prompt, thorough, and reasonably priced. If/when I need another stucco inspection, I will use them again. Scheduling: I worked with Michael. He was prompt and flexible with scheduling. I had a stucco inspection on my home for a resale. The owner of the home was out of country so it was more difficult to get confirmation prior to do the inspection. Even without a confirmation from the owner, Michael kept a time slot open for my inspection. He worked closely with my realtor and ultimately got the inspection done on time. Knowledge: Stucco Check did an invasive stucco check on the stucco on my home. They were thorough with sampling and reviewing, not only the wall, but the area under the stucco where it meets the foundation to ensure the drainage is proper. Pricing: The pricing quote I received was significantly less than the prior quotes I received. Prompt: Stucco Check came the next day after I scheduled the appointment. They also produced the report within 24 hours. Overall, I highly recommend Stucco Check. They are prompt, professional, knowledgable, and reasonably priced. read more

We reached out to Michael for a second opinion on a home we were looking to purchase that needed some extensive Stucco repairs. We were pressed for time and Michael immediately accommodated us by reviewing the inspection report and quotes we had received. This wasn't even HIS inspection but he took time to walk us through line by line to educate and provide us his professional recommendations. He was honest with his assessment, suggested some clarifications and guided us through next steps. Knowledge, integrity and quality are important attributes when entrusting contractors with your investment and Michael displays them all! read more

Michael was great to work with. We needed a stucco inspection on a house that we were buying. Michael worked with us every step of the way and clearly communicated via text, phone call, and email. He helped us find contractors to provide quotes based on the issues noted in the stucco inspection report he provided in addition to assessing the quotes we received. We decided not to buy the house due to the issues found and I'm so grateful to Michael and his team for their help during the process. read more

The professionalism with my entire dealings with this company was how all companies should be operating. Flawless. Extremely knowledgable and thorough in their explanations. Very friendly as well. Recommend you keep them FAR AWAY from your house. They recently performed an inspection on our home and did a terrible job. Prior to performing their services we were told that they would use proper sealant with elastomeric paint which they had in a wide selection of colors that would match so the holes would be difficult to see. Our home is beige and the holes that were sealed were filled with grey material. In addition, the advice and recommendations provided by the person performing the inspection were questionable and did not accurately represent standards according to subsequent consultations with professionals. DO NOT RECOMMEND unless you don't care what your house looks like after having some drill holes throughout the exterior. read more

I moved to new home few months ago but I did not forget about Michael and Stucco Check team. During purchasing new home most of my experience was not fun but these guys are different. I remember they were on time on and I spoke with very well educated inspector (Michael) which help me to have better understanding about stucco and potential issue. They report was extremely good and when I send the report to others to get the quote for repair they all said this report have lots of detail and they normally do this this detail of work. I did lots of research before I select this company. I am very glad and I highly recommend them. Make sure you ask for Michael for inspection. read more

Michael came out and did our Stucco inspection on a home we are planning to buy. Found him on Yelp. Came within 24 hours on short notice. Extremely smooth process. Took the risk out of buying this home (fingers crossed). He is very articulate and takes time to explain impact without feeling rushed. The whole experience was very pain free. These inspections are very intense due to large amount of capital at risk due to structural integrity concerns. He helped us understand what is involved. Turned out to be no big issue other than small deferred maintenance (we got lucky). He went as far as present us with options to fix - recommended 3 of his best contractors. Approval forms were easy, payment was easy, high recommended. TIP: Even if it turns out you have no stucco issues, no you did not waste money on inspections; you know exactly what needs to be done to maintain the home and you know your position in case one day you need to sell the home and are faced with a tough buyer. It's always a good idea to do one even if you have low-medium concerns, especially in the Houston area with the humidity and builder quality. read more
