This small, corner bakery is nestled within the otherwise nondescript, quiet little town of Langeskov, just off the beaten path. You won't find it on the main road through town (yes, there's just one), but it's only about 5 minutes away and worth the drive.
You'll find all the typical Danish fare here, including pastries, breads and cakes of just about every kind you could ever want for. I've sampled a bit of everything over the last few years, but the pastries stand out as the best. My personal favorite would definitely be their rum balls, especially since they've recently added the enormous, grapefruit-sized variety to their offerings. I've yet to meet anyone, Danish or otherwise, that can down one of those big'uns in a single sitting. Trust me, I've tried and was easily defeated!
In addition, as with most bakeries, you can buy pre-made Christmas cookies here during the holiday season. Having sampled a few different places on my last visit, it was plainly evident that quality is all over the map, but Stub's did not disappoint. read more
