Quality of care is great, the lab, the nurses, the doctors, all great. However, the front desk staff and billing are... less than. I've had a number of issues including the front desk person not checking me in, then being rude when I'd go up to check (after sitting quietly for half an hour past my appointment). The billing department will talk down to you, extremely rude, I've never felt as horrible as I do after talking to them. I have had them call to tell me I owe money, that's fine, but they are very snippy, act as if I'm purposefully ducking payments, despite never getting a statement before the call, nor does the front desk staff ask for payment. If it weren't for the clinical staff I'd go somewhere else for my hematology needs. I would not recommend going unless there is a major shake up with the support staff. read more

This happened almost a year ago and I'm finally getting to this review after seeing that my experience was not an exception or a result of the bad head space I was in at the time. The doctor (Simone) is cold. The staff is disorganized. I was given incorrect instructions for preparing for a critical test. Calls were not returned. This is a CANCER practice, for God's sake. Time is of the essence. And that last thing a cancer patient needs is more stress. As if the diagnosis, radiation, and chemo aren't enough. I found another oncologist. This practice needs to shut down. The doctor needs to work in a lab or in research or something not with suffering, frightened patients. read more

Unfortunately, I am not able to provide a good review. EXTREMELY grateful for the top Notch Nurses, that's it. Other than that, this place is really all about the money. Since the moment you walk in the door, your hounded for money. I have great insurance, my insurance paid more than 1/2 million to this little pot of gold, but I guess that's wasn't good enough, as they continued to send me bills YEARS after treatment for pennies on the dollar. I witnessed senior citizens hounded for money or they will not be seen. No empathy for Cancer patients. So sad, I get its business, its the way they go about it. Do yourself a favor, find somewhere else to go that doesn't look at you as what they can get out of you. I only saw Dr. Simone one time, and that that I don't even remember much about her. Stuart Oncology Associates provides excellent medical care, except for one issue. They are refusing to schedule tele-health appointments anymore. It's a shame they can no longer operate their phones. It must be too much of an effort to call a patient instead of having the patient schlep out to their office when it is not necessary. Considering they only have weekday appointments, it is impossible for someone who works fulltime Monday - Friday to get to their office. They make no consideration for the patient's schedule and the type of appointment needed. I already when there for bloodwork and I don't need to be there to review my numbers in person. Having a 5 minute conversation by phone is appropriate. They just want to bill for a full appointment because they are greedy instead of saving their patient time and unneeded hassles. read more

Dr. Simone is the ABSOLUTE WORST! No empathy whatsoever. The decided to 'Fire' my father who is diagnosed with stage 4 cancer because he had a very scary reaction to chemo. There was no communication besides a certified letter. No one spoke with him to help resolve the reaction. Every time he tried to communicate his symptoms the staff talked down to him and mocked his pain. STAY AWAY!! read more

My experience with Dr. Christine Simone at Stuart Oncology was completely unacceptable. After asking wether the center acknowledged curative milestones for patients-a basic, reasonable question-I was met with defensiveness. Shortly after, during active treatment my care was abruptly discontinued. Their reason? That I was "unhappy". In reality, I was asking informed questions and advocating for myself, which Dr. Simone clearly took issue with. I saw Dr. Simone twice within a six month period. (that speaks volumes within itself). In both interactions she was dismissive and condescending. She showed no interest in patient centered care and became visibly irritated when asked questions about my treatment. This wasn't just poor bedside manner, it was blatant disregard for respectful communication and ethical care. After reading other reviews, it's clear my experience wasn't an isolated case. Dr. Simone has a pattern of treating patients with disrespect when they try to be involved in their own care. Abruptly ending care because a patient ask questions, speaks up and or advocates for themselves is not just unprofessional-it's dangerous and unethical. Dr. Simone and Stuart Oncology failed me at a critical time, and I would strongly caution others to think twice before trusting their care to this doctor or center. read more

Extremely disappointed and frustrated with Stuart Oncology. Scheduled for 3rd round of chemo Jan 5th. Canceled due to payment. They advised can help with getting financial aid. They call and say we qualify. But then no calls and no rescheduling. Then, after multiple unreturned calls, we go there in person and are told to pay full deductible $3650 to get scheduled for following week. Now get call saying appointment canceled as they haven't gotten insurance approval. Moved another week later and no guarantees they will have approval then. Why didn't they have approval back on Jan 5th?? So mad! And now we are paying 2 weeks interest on credit card extra when payment due at time of service. There hasn't been service yet! The woman actually said on phone that she doesn't return calls and if you get her voicemail, hang up and call again until she answers. When you are dealing with someone who has cancer, this is just horrible business and handling! The chemo nurses and blood work nurses are awesome though. But this run-around is terrible! read more

Dr. Ravi Patel is a hematologist. I am seriously iron deficient and supplementing iron at 25 times the normal daily dosage. Dr. Patel knows this and has told me that I am stable, and he will not try to find out what is causing the problem -- no diagnosis, no treatment. I wish I could find someone who cares enough to help me -- Dr. Ravi Patel is not that doctor. read more

Steer clear. I complained for 2 months of pain in my left lower back. Saitched to another oncologist and got a PT scan as should have been ordered through Stuart Oncology. As suspected, found a mass plus several more. The chemo room is "small and hot". Multiple times my drug was not at the clinic as scheduled, twice having my treatments delayed a week. When I questioned the nurse, she said they order at the last possible day because the drugs are "expensive". If you care about your health, stay away from Stuart Oncology. On the last note, the nurses (all but one), act like its social hour. They are not attentive and trust me when I say that when the infusion distributer starts buzzing being a problem or just its done, they ignore it and chat it up like its a holiday. You can double or triple the time they say you will be there. They can turn 3 hour infusion into 6 hrs, every time. Steer clear. BTW, The Dr. was Patel. You do the math, my math and experience says he could care less. read more
