Both my children have gone to Dr. Hoffman. He is kind, courteous and most importantly does a great job.

As a previous patient of Dr. Hoffman I can't stress enough how much I urge you to not see him. I had him as my orthodontist when I was in middle school and I am still shocked at the level of disregard he has for patients. When removing my braces he somehow managed to break one of my front teeth in half and he took 0 accountability for that. I was a 12 year old kid, scared and crying in his chair because my front tooth was broken in half while he lectured me that it couldn't have been his fault it must have been mine. Yet he couldn't give me a reason why it was my fault he broke my tooth in half, he practically hid from my father and wouldn't even tell him what happened when I came back to the waiting room. I ended up having to get a very painful root canal and cosmetic work done on the tooth to correct its appearance. Of course Dr. Hoffman refused to pay for that or take any responsibility in the slightest for the damage he caused. And guess what, now I'm 20 years old and still dealing with the problem he caused. The tooth that he broke in half couldn't be saved, and that came from several other opinions. So recently I've had to deal with the pain, as well as the emotional and financial burden of getting the tooth extracted as well as a bone graft. I am now a 20 year old girl who has to go 7 months without a front tooth while I wait for my implant all because of Dr. Hoffman's negligence. Do you know how much this costs? Thousands of dollars just to fix the mistake of someone who couldn't even apologize to a child, five thousand to be exact, and I'm not even including the original root canal or cost of fixing the tooth's appearance when I was 12. Please for your own sake, do not risk putting yourself in the position I've been in for the last 8 years by seeing this man. read more

I am not your average patient when it comes to teeth alignment -- I am an older patient and I demand the best. Dr Hoffman delivers the very best. Dr. Hoffman was my orthodontist when I was a young teen over ten years ago. I remember him being very nice and professional. I misplaced a retainer a little while back and had to get a replacement recently. Because the office was following Covid-related safety procedures, I felt comfortable coming in. Everyone was exactly as I remembered; Jan at the front was still very sweet and remembered me after many years, and Dr. Hoffman was also still very kind, quick and efficient. I believe the assistant was also the same and she was also very nice. The process was very quick and easy, Dr. Hoffman definitely knows what he's doing. After the first 2 nights of wearing my retainer again, my bottom teeth that had slightly moved are already coming back into place. Happy I can come back to him after so many years and will go to him for any other orthodontia needs if any, as I trust his practice. read more

Dr. Hoffman is an exceptional orthodontist who had taken care of my son, Brian's teeth since he was in Elementary School at Lupin Hill. Dr. Hoffman was always kind and gentle and put you at ease from the beginning. Jan always welcomed us by name and made us feel at home. Now my son is 23 and has a beautiful, perfect smile due to Dr. Hoffman's excellent work. Brian wore his retainer every night as Dr. Hoffman requested, and Dr. Hoffman showed him how to take care of it so it would last like Brian's beautiful smile. Brian just lost his retainer, along with most all of his belongings due to the fire in Decker Canyon. Thank God he left to protect his Mom, Grandma on Hospice, and pets, it saved his life! Dr. Hoffman personally returned my phone message before his day began and was right there to help my son with his warm voice over the phone assuring me not to worry. This is long over. Our son had braces from Dr. Hoffman and it was a GREAT experience. We were told the cost and that is exactly what we paid. We were told an approximate time frame and our sons teeth were straightened within days of that time frame. Dr. Hoffman runs a tight ship therefore an appointment would take mere minutes. There were occasions that I dropped my son near the door and he would be walking out by the time I had parked and was on my way inside. I normally do not post on yelp, but I feel it is necessary for the public to be aware of the facts. Now, 21 years old, I unfortunately had "doctor" Hoffman as my orthodontist when I was 13 years old. He slapped braces on me and shoved me out the door. Now at this age, I am undergoing treatment for a second time because of hofman's incompetence. Even my ortho now and the several others I have consulted with have suggested I take legal action against dr Hoffman because of his lack of professional standards. I am a 21 year old student just graduating from a top university. I have freshly experienced the effects of a doctor Hoffman treatment and I suggest anyone and everyone stay away from this guy. He is lazy, incompotent, aarogant and ignorant. Do yourself a favor and send your child to a real orthodontist, he or she will thank you in the long-run. By the way: I have since been contacted by others who have had remarkably similar experiences as I have with dr Hoffman and they seem to share my disappointed and upset sentiment. I have 5 children,ages 28, 26, 24, 19,16, and all of them have gone through Dr. Hoffman. He has a very nice and friendly looking office. It's always cheerfully decorated according to the season or holiday, Valentine, Christmas, summer, etc... His staff is great, and Jan always gives me a reminder call, the day before our appointment. This has saved the day many times. Each child is different, and he caters to their needs accordingly. For example, my daughter started on her braces later than my other kids and had them on longer, because she had an under bite issue. I took her to see him several times before she actually started. He examined her and kept saying we had to wait until her jaw area finished growing. I've heard of a lot of doctors that will just start them way too early, and tell them they have to do it twice because of the child's condition. I believe this is probably not needed, but rather done for the extra big bucks they can charge you. My daughter's teeth came out beautifully, as did all of my other children. I'm down to my youngest child, and he just recently got his braces off, and is in the retainer phase of the process. I'm going to miss going to see Dr. Hoffman and his team on a monthly basis. If you want a doctor that will give you warm individual attention according to your child's needs, and have your child's teeth ending up beautifully, then you have to go see Dr. Hoffman. His credentials are outstanding. His ethics are what set him apart from other orthodontists. He has treated my daughter for the last 2 years at cost because SHE failed to wear her retainer. I took my nephew to Dr. Hoffman 4 years ago. He had his braces removed a few months ago and now sees Dr. Hoffman once a month or so. Dr. Hoffman is great. "Dr" Hoffman is a total disaster. He had me as a child and did a horrible job. Very lazy and quick treatment. No regard for airway or facial development. Not hard to understand when one looks at his own disastrous facial development. Take it from someone that was his patient as a child and who is now an adult facing jaw surgery, Dr. Hoffman is incompetent, lacks skill, empathy, and passion for what he does. Low IQ Hoffman you caused a lot of damage in my life, if only you had a larger brain, a lot of suffering could have been avoided.
