Left my group that I was with and took off to the other side of the city and found this place. It was perfect. Spent a bunch of time talking to the staff and some other patrons about punk in the US and the UK and got some great local recommendations from them (though wish someone had recommended Frank Turner to me then - I was practically on his doorstep and now I love him lol). The fact that you can see a Snazzy Boys poster in the photo says it all for me. Found a nice sale bin of 7"s that were buy 2 get 1 free, can't beat that. Flashbacks is a pretty basic store selling used cds and dvds. They didn't have Kate Bush (…read moresomething I always look for to determine whether a record store is good) but they did have good prices. I will come back to Flashbacks to buy Little Britain (my favourite show) seasons one and two for 6 pounds! That is like 70% percent of the price or something. Seriously this box set was more than 20 quid. I couldn't care less if it was used. Flashbacks also had other TV series on sale here. If remember rightly I saw some American series here as well, in Uk format obviously. 4 stars for the box set!

The staff are really friendly and do all they can to help out, the rooms are on the larger side and we've hardly ever been turned away, even when booking late. While in London earlier this month, I wanted to hit up some record stores; Flashback being towards…read morethe top of the list. I hit up a couple Flashback locations but this one was definitely my favorite. It had some of the UK stuff that I was looking for, (I hail from the US), and at reasonable prices. I was in the shop for about an hour pursuing my sections/artists and taking second looks at the items in my stack and the employees let me do my thing and didn't bother me, which is always really appreciated. All of the stuff that I was looking for was on the main level, but they do have more vinyl in the basement, which is where I paid for my items. The employees were nice and understood that it was my first time in their shop and I didn't know the process of things. I loved this record shop and will definitely stop by here when I'm in London again!

When I checked their prices at home on discogs, their respective average prices were 2,79 £ and 5 £. I don't know what justifies these price differences, so be careful if you are on a tight budget !

This little record shop in Camden specializes in soul, jazz, rock, reggae and punk music as well as…read morehaving a good collection of posters and special edition prints. When i entered, the owner looked particularly cool as he stood behind the counter wearing a shirt and flat cap, carefully trying to examine something on the back of a record sleeve (he was holding right up to his nose). I liked the poster room which is on a split level between the entrance floor and the basement. There were quite a few special editions made by steam power posters that pictured artists such as Bob Dylan and film stars like the 1920s actress Clara Bow. Generally the music seems to lean towards groups from the 1970s and 80s such as the Beatles, the Clash, Trojan records and so on. So no 'nu' stuff here for any young trendy 'scenesters', but a good collection none the less.

There are a lot of stores but in terms of quality it's hit and miss. This store looked promising, small but promising, however, was disappointed in the selection and the prices for common okay condition titles. The dart board pricing is what confused me to be honest. It was cramped and I didn't have patience for the store after 10 minutes of thumbing through some commons.
