The Stroud Mall is a shopping mall located in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. It is located in The Poconos region of Pennsylvania, just a few minutes from the New Jersey border adjacent to Pennsylvania Route 611 and Interstate 80 exit 305. The mall is one level. The mall has lost it's shopping appeal, do to losing a lot of stores. They have around 5-10 stores and the rest are all closed (due to the pandemic) They have Jcpenneys, Fye, Aeropostale, famous footwear, Spencer's, Clairs, bath and body works, Gertrude Hawks, Auntie Anne's, Cinemax and a Shoprite. Food court has a pizzeria , ice cream place and Chinese.

I come here for nostalgia sake. We have a vacation home in the area so when I was growing up we'd come here a lot. Unfortunately this mall has seen it's better days. Both the Hess's and the Bon Ton are long gone. There's still journeys shoes and a very old fashioned Bath and Body Works. The JCPenney is still there but I didn't go in. Maybe now that ShopRite is there the foot traffic will increase. But for now, head up the road to the Crossings.

No good stores. Very empty!!! I can't give much information because it's not equipped with stores that brings in customers.

Stroud Mall has a great movie theatre, the only Hallmark Shop, which has Vera Bradley, and the only Victorias Secret around.

This was previously the Foxmoor Village shopping center, so it has plenty of parking, and the buildings are surprisingly attractive. I visited here in early Spring, so vendors could vary at other times throughout the year. There are food trailers at the top of the complex and at least one food vendor in a building. Outside vendors were mostly $1 quality and other low-cost items you'd find at any Flea Market. Inside the buildings is an experience. The main building is quite crowded and it's very maze like, so you could easily miss interesting items. Some booths look like a hoarder's paradise, making it difficult to find items. I saw everything from toys, to comic books, to dust collectables, to knifes. Due to the crowding, I doubt it's handicap accessible, so plan accordingly. As you get to the buildings on the backside of the complex, it becomes much less crowded and much more accessible. There is a nice small grassy area in the middle of the complex with a few benches. The pad is still visible that one held a building and theater that burned down in 2017. Onside there is one very out of place full time business, a PNC Bank. Overall, at some point I want to come back here in the summer, to get the full outdoor vendor experience. If I was a local, I would be here a few times a year as there is without question deals here and the whole complex is a sight to see. I don't know if I would travel out of my way to shop here, however.

The mall is fairly big, with two floors, carrying a lot of familiar brand stores, and even ones that I'm sure some have never heard of. The interior has a modern look, which I'm sure had its renovation done a couple or several years back, but adds up looking clean and nice. It's in no condition of being a dead mall, despite there being a couple of closed stores, specifically anchor stores that don't exist anymore (pretty much all malls these days). The food court has a number to offer, with some of its usual eateries and a couple of ones that will blow your mind. Plenty of tables are provided to fit many people. For restaurants, there are Red Robin, The Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Chang's, Muldoon's Steakhouse & Pub, and Chipotle Mexican Grill. I wouldn't mind coming back to this mall, but won't be anytime soon due to how far I am.

We were so excited to see these machines as they had genuine limited gachapon straight from Japan! The price to play each machine ranges from 4 to 5 tokens and each token is $1. This is quite expensive but for the experience I'd say it's worth trying once or twice! If you're an anime fan, they had quite a bit of gachapon from popular animes like demon slayer, spy x family and dragon ball z. There is a machine that accepts cash or card which will give you the tokens to play. We also found a cool cotton candy maker vending machine near the food court but it was super expensive, I believe $10 or so for one and the machine itself didn't look very well kept. All in all, had a fun experience here!

Man, who doesn't love a cute little village filled with shops? I won't hide that I'm proud to say I…read moredo. I mean, a place like Peddler's Village has something for everyone and it's definitely worth a return trip, which is just what my wife and I did after having visited a few years prior. You see, we were spending a few nights in nearby New Hope/Lambertville which makes a trip to PV almost a must as it's only about 10 minutes from those areas. Now if you haven't been here before, think of it like an Old Mistick Village/Kitchen Kettle Village/Smithville Shoppes kind of area (told you I like villages). What's great here though are plenty of shops you won't find elsewhere, at least not in those aforementioned shop areas. There's some crossover, but mostly the options here are unique and honestly pretty vast. What's really nice about Peddler's is the setup as the stores encompass a few greenery areas, but there are also some along a few streets and a whole other small shop area on the other side of one of these roads. Despite having been here prior, my wife and I still spent several hours going in and out of many stores and finding plenty of goodies. Those goods varied from house decor, to spices, to oils and honeys, to a few small gifts for family. Even better than the shopping might be the food and drink options. You'll find a few places to actually sit and have a meal as well as a winery (with some great vino), a brewery (shout out to Free Will!), a coffee/drink shop (Mama Hawks FTW), and a lot more. On top of that, Peddler's does a lot of seasonal celebrations of sorts. Our first trip was in the Fall and so the area was lined with tons of different scarecrows all made by different people. This recent trip was right after Easter and there was "artwork" created using Peeps marshmallows. Both referenced plenty of pop culture favorites and it was a nice added bonus to the experience. Overall, Peddler's Village is a gem of a spot. You're bound to find something worthy of buying and you'll definitely be here longer than you probably intended. Only downside is the place can get crowded, especially on a nice weekend day, so if you can find the time to head over early or during the week, make it happen. I know I'll be back again at some point whenever we find ourselves not too far away, because you can't go wrong with a cute village, am I right?

It's a nice place to browse and maybe find a unique gift. If you have kids with you, they'll enjoy it too. There's a carousel and some fun games for them, so parents can relax while kids stay entertained. There are also good food options. You can get things like seafood, pizza, and other fresh local dishes. And of course, don't miss dessert--there's homemade ice cream and tasty pastries from the bakeries. If you go during special events like seasonal festivals or craft fairs, it's even more fun. The only thing that isn't so well maintained would have to be the restrooms in the food court. The food court is also quite small and only has a limited selection, which is one of the biggest reasons that I have to give this mall a four star review only. Not only that, but a majority of the food court seems to now be occupied by an empty store. Why they don't attempt to re-open more food locations is beyond me. However, despite what I said about the food court, the Chinese buffet in the mall is excellent, so definitely be sure to check it out if you're going up there. All in all, this is a very well maintained mall that is worth the visit if you're nearby.

Finding an entrance to the mall is a challenge for the neophyte. But the mall is home to Mayhem Amusements Arcade which has some solid pinball machines. The Polish store was rad, and I wish I had more time to shop for pierogi paraphernalia, but so it goes. I braved one of the bathrooms off of the abandoned food court. There is something kind of beautiful about these decaying palaces of commerce in this era of late stage capitalism. I can't quite put my finger on it. For someone who grew up going to shopping malls in the 1980s it's kind of like walking through a Bruce Springstein song. It is hard to comprehend the juxtaposition of decay and scrappy mom-and-pop stores with the few remaining national and international retailers who maintain slick storefronts in the building despite all odds. Go for the pinball. Stay for the weirdness. Eat elsewhere. And be careful of the potholes. I do hope Wyoming Valley mall is able to pull itself out of its death spiral. Little is sadder to a kid from the 80s than a dead mall. But of course we also know that nothing lives forever. For that matter, who wants to live forever?
