Many who know me know I have pretty severe back issues. As a result one course of action is chiropractic care. Schube Resch and Advantage Chiropractic are both wonderful. Recently I tried Strong Chiropractic because I switched insurance carriers and neither of the aforementioned accepted the new insurance. I visited Strong 3 times and they were never able to simply adjust the area and solve the issue. Dr. Darren repeatedly tried selling me numerous other products, vitamins and an Icy-Hot concoction, but his adjustments didn't involve normal methods. And in normal I mean everyday chiropractic adjustments I've received from several other chiropractors in Appleton and Milwaukee. He explained his methods involved physics, and letting gravity help, and basically what sounded like new-age double talk. After 3 tries at Strong I went to Schube Resch who provided a normal adjustment and after 2 visits I was good. Strong's bill just came....$460. Strong said they called the new provider on my first visit to verify coverage, but now they claim my insurance doesn't cover them. I was mad but stuff happens. So I asked the cash price and she offered a meager discount, but only if I paid her right now. I asked if anything else could reduce the price because the methods used by Strong never fixed my problem and I agree there should be a cost but $400+ seemed steep for not even getting any relief. Strong's billing rep then proceeded to tell me I was a liar. According to her there was no way Shube Resch helped me better than they could and I was only complaining to get out of paying the bill. Then she threatened collections. I have never ever in my life been treated so rudely and with such hostility by a service provider. I even asked to speak with Dr. Darren and she said she'd give him a message but doubted he'd return my call. I have 25 years of customer service experience. There is a way to remain professional and non-hostile to a customer you disagree with. I also managed collections for 2.5 years so I understand her end of the issue. But to tell me I'm lying and instantly become very aggressive and rude is not only uncalled for, but completely inappropriate. In my opinion, Strong Chiropractic is not a chiropractor worth visiting. I can understand different adjustment methods, although they didn't work for me, but the constant up-selling of additional wellness products made it feel like I was talking with a used car salesman. And the billing person's shocking display of unprofessionalism just confirms my decision to stay away from Strong Chiropractic. read more

I can not recommend Dr. Strong highly enough. I have seen him for over 20 years and he has supported me in resolving scoliosis, sports injuries, postpartum issues, immune challenges and more! My entire family sees him as well and each individual has been supported to reach higher levels of health than they thought possible. Whatever ails you this practice can help! read more

Shady business. Stated they accepted my insurance and then I got a $525 bill because they didn't accept my insurance. Then after arguing with them and finally deciding to pay just so they wouldn't "ruin my credit" as the office manager put it I learn they charged an extra $250 late fee. A 50% late fee! My family and I love going to see Dr Derek Strong. I'm a hairstylist being on my feet all day, takes a toll on my back. After adjustments I feel brand new everytime. All I can say is the 5-star review (from HI?!) must be from a different office and an error. Strong Chiropractic is the shadiest "medical" practice I've ever been to and I have been to a chiropractor before. First of all the front office staff is rude and impolite. They rarely greet you if they're busy doing something and just leave you standing there and are inappropriately casual and unprofessional with other staff and patients. I had the misfortune of working with Dr. Strong Sr. who grilled me about my diet each apt and tried to shame me for getting a flu shot while pregnant and always had scare-tactic stories to tell me about "patients" who apparently ate sugar or vaccinated their children. Finally, despite being a preferred provided for my insurance they thought they could just bill me for the amount my insurance didn't cover and I would just pay it. Of course it took them over a month to bill so I had seven apts by this time which would have been quite a bill if I would have accepted their erroneous billing. They also told me at my initial apt if I exceeded the allowed apts they'd just change the way they are billed to have them covered. Plenty of other chiropractors in the area, I suggest trying one of those first. read more

Very personal friendly staff, with outstanding service. Dr Strong takes time to listen and takes all the factors into consideration for the care plan. I highly recommend Strong Chiropractic, just in a short time my quality of life has improved.I have recommended my husband and daughter to strong chiropractic and they have also seen improvement of their lives...... the staff does not treat us like another pay check they treat us with respect and care. read more
