We can highly recommend Kelly if you're looking to purchase a house in the Eugene/Springfield area…read more Kelly was great at helping us to find and purchase our house. She listened to what we were looking for and remembered our requirements. She was very prompt to answer questions. We had contacted her when we went to an open house and were interested in it. She arranged for us to tour it with her and she pointed out several items we had not noticed. She also was able to tell us how much it would cost to fix a couple of items we would want to fix.

She not only educated us on the market and the area, she literally represented us every step of the way. She visited several houses for us and provided us with detailed videos of her walk-through, plus her educated opinion, which made us feel confident enough to purchase a house without ever going to Eugene ourselves until after the deal was done! Kelly was always quick to respond, kind, professional, and willing to patiently answer every one of my questions. I also appreciated that her descriptions of the houses were always objective, unless we asked her for her opinion, in which case she'd always offer her smart and honest input. We are extremely happy with the house and how easy, smooth and enjoyable the whole process was. If you are looking for a realtor in Eugene, go with Kelly. You'll be in the best hands!

I called Northwest Legal to ask about estate planning for my husband and me. We have a simple…read moreestate, no children, thus no major legacy goals around family or a business, but we do expect to have a chunk of remaining assets that will eventually go to charitable organizations. Because we don't have family to step in later, we will need a revocable trust and a professional trustee or fiduciary to manage things if we become incapable or after we pass. I explained the basics at the start of the call. The attorney's tone shifted "immediately" when he heard the word "simple." He launched into a long lecture about how the process "isn't simple," emphasized how much time (8-9 hrs. of meeting - ooh! wow!) and reading we would have to put into the process; we probably wouldn't like his rates and spoke in a way that felt dismissive and condescending - as if I was clueless about the estate planning process or had never worked with attorneys before. I never asked for a simple process; I simply described our estate. My husband and I are already familiar with the steps involved. I tried to redirect the conversation, because he had already clearly dismissed the call by saying, "Let me share more information," but based on the communication so far, I added that it might not be a good fit. Even then, he didn't ask what our actual needs were, and I never even got the chance to explain that we needed a professional trustee or fiduciary. The call ended without any meaningful discussion of services or options. I was shocked and disappointed, especially since he had been recommended by close friends. I left the call feeling talked down to rather than helped. We were genuinely trying to understand whether this firm could support us, but the interaction made it clear this wasn't the right place for respectful, client‑focused communication. He may not have been the right fit for our needs, but the call was handled in a way that felt dismissive and premature, especially since he didn't have enough information about our situation to make that judgment. His loss; we'll be moving on to someone better. Less money in his pocket to go buy a high-end suit! I rarely leave reviews, positive or negative, but felt compelled to share this experience so others know what to expect ...or better yet, know to look elsewhere.

Jinoo and his legal assistant Madie were genuinely incredible from beginning to end! Jinoo was expertly prepared for every meeting we had with him. He made sure that my mother and I understood what was happening every step of the way. Jinoo encouraged my mother to make an educated decision based on the facts. His level of professionalism and interest in the rights and concerns of people inspired tremendous confidence that the final decision made was sound. The honesty and efficiency with which Jinoo and Madi operated made a stressful situation manageable. I appreciate the kindness and support!

Nearly 3 months after, she had inquired as to the progress of her trust and was told that Mr Huffman had been "pulled away" to another project and would work on it soon. Nearly 2 more months went by without correspondence from him or the firm. My friend realized that her trust creation was of low priority to Mr Huffman, so she called to request a refund for the work not being completed. She was denied a refund, being told the work was (nearly) complete. With this extreme delay and lack of care shown, my friend had little confidence or trust in his work going forward. After having 6 months of her precious time wasted by Mr Huffman, she has hired a new attorney to create her living trust. I'm confused as to why any attorney would not consider it a priority to complete a living trust for their 77 yr old client? Why commit to the work, then not deliver in a timely manner? As there was no prior consultation, why did Mr Huffman insist she pay in advance of any work being done? These questions will be posed to the Oregon State Bar Association when her complaint is filed.

He showed up at the appeal oral arguments completely frazzled and unprepared (said he'd been in Portland until the early hours to meet his son's plane). He blew the hearing and we lost. He had also completely misconstrued a constitutional issue and the City's attorney blew his argument away. I then paid him to file an appeal to the Court of Appeals. Ooops! He neglected to file the appeal properly and it was dismissed. 2. A group of neighborhood residents that I worked with hired Zack Mittge to represent them in opposing a rezoning. I tried to direct Mittge to the most productive issues but he ignored the advice and went off on a transportation tangent that was blown out of the water by the applicant's attorney. He then charged the neighbors several times his stated estimate. They fired him, of course. 3. Over the past several years, with the help of an excellent land use attorney in Portland, I and a group of neighbors have been fighting an proposal for an unlawful condo development. Mittge has represented the applicants. The applicant is still struggling and the opponents have just completed our third appeal to the state. There have been this many appeals because Mittge has blown his client's case. It is my opinion that if you want incompetent lawyers who aren't hindered by any sense of integrity, this would be the best fit for you. Otherwise, I recommend you seek legal advice elsewhere.
